  1. Won't the 6DOF be for all aircraft? Not just th Ka-50.
  2. You can add skins for aircraft in IL2, but that's about it. There are thousands of skins available for download.
  3. So, from that statement, it sounds like it will be part of the terrain, and not needed to be manually added to each mission?
  4. Couple of questions: 1) What kind of FPS hit will this mod have on the game? 2) Do these new objects have to be placed in every mission manually? Or are they part of the terrain and aways in the game? Thanks.
  5. Can't assume that with TB. We'll see what happens. Not sure what you mean by multiple image transmission. TB doesn not send or receive any images from anything. It creates all of the images that are displayed on the touchscreens by itself.
  6. Yes, the game uses LUA scripting to send data back. TB has a few modules like Radar, Available Weapons, and Damage control panels with live data. No problem with the questions... Maybe when you get going, post them over on the TB forums.
  7. :megalol: Yea, those lazy &^$! Sitt'in around, sipp'in espresso's all day!
  8. That's from ggg87's setup. He posted above in this thread. Yes, it's just software. You can use it with regular monitors to try it out, and just use your mouse. Then, get a touchscreen or touch overlay for a monitor if you want. The only thing is it will be using resources on your gaming rig. You need to load an instance of TB for each monitor, and then the profile for each TB instance. That can take up a lot of memory. With the TB network solution, you an run all of your TB devices on another pc and only send the keystrokes to the game pc. Then 1 instance on the game pc to receive the keystrokes and send them all to the game. I only have 1 small 8" touchscreen. But ggg87 could answer that better, because he's running a lot of screens.
  9. Touchbuddy allows for networking to your game computer. So, you can have a second computer running your 4 TouchBuddy MFD touchscreens, and when you touch them TouchBuddy sends the keystroke to your gaming computer and to the game. This also will save you on memory for your game to run. Click my sig for more info...
  10. Hey Kaptein! Yes, I also fly IL2 1946. I just updated to 1946 at Circut City for only $9.99 I think. I love it because you can fly a ton of aircraft.
  11. Damn! Now I need a Ski Rack for my Hog.
  12. Nice Work Colt! I have several of your skins and love them!!
  13. Been watching this thread for a while now. Great stuff grandsurf!!! Can't wait!!
  14. It's not mappable. People have complained about this. There is some hack aroudn somewhere that will let you assign a key to it, but I have not done it. If you hold that button down, the hat on the joystick will flash. You can move the hat up/down to select a different profile to load. You will see the name change in the throttle display window. To load the selected profile press the hat to the right and the throttle display should show that profile is now loaded.
  15. It does for me. I have an X52 Pro and just did it and downloaded the profile with no problems.
  16. You can only fly flyable aircraft in the game, so if you want to see 'Player' as a Skill in the list, you must select a flyable aircraft. I assume your mod overwrites the files for an aircraft like the Su-27 so that it looks like an F/A-18 on the outside, but not in the cockpit. If that is the case, then you would select the Su-27 in the game, and then set the Skill to Player. :smilewink:
  17. I don't know this mod, but I assume if you want to takeoff from a carrier you need to have the F-14 or F/A-18 be a aircraft that can takeoff from a carrier in the game. Like the Su-33 I think? EDIT: Also, check out FlankerTraining Videos. Especially Refueling and Getting Started Part 1 & 2.
  18. When you create a custom mission, you must set the player Skill to 'Player' from the drop down listbox for you to fly it. I think you need to open your fuel panel. Press R to open it I think, then fly close to the boom and when you are close enough it will extend the rest of the way and connect. Let go and let it refuel till it's done.
  19. I saw that! It was pretty good but not much info on the a/c's systems. It was mostly about it's use in Afganistan and also US pilots test flying it. The US pilots got to try out the Su27 and other aircraft, but when offered to the Su25 they balked at it. But one decided to give it a try and said it was awesome, so the others lined up to give it a go.
  20. I have a Dell 8250 with an ATI 9500pro/9700 128meg graphics card that has been going flaky on me for a few months now. This card requires a power connect to a 300watt power supply. The Dell 8250 comes with a 250watt power supply from what I read on the Dell Forums. They said it was 250watts average - 300watts max. Also, my system specs say I have AGP and PCI. My Device manager says the 9700 is in the 'PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0' slot. Is that the AGP slot? I just want to get a good graphics card that will get me by for the next year or so for about $150 or less. But I don't want to change my power supply. So, what's the best way to find a card that uses less than 300watts? Or can you give me some recommendations?
