  1. Hehe that kind of looks funny. :D But it is not something I have experienced before. I'm quite sure that this is not coused by any tweaking settings but a texture problem. What mods are you using?
  2. Most of the settings have the same effect though not all. Making a direct copy of the BS settings is not adviced. I prefer not to go in to LockOn tweaking details in a Blackshark thread, this could only bring confusion. After the first official release of this tweak guide I will make a similar guide for LockOn. Could you post a screenshot?
  3. It is probably a wrong way of thinking though it crossed my mind, calling it dirty may be not that tactful.
  4. There is a difference between dirty stuff and funny stuff.........;)
  5. It is not possible to make axis of the Shkval controls.....they are only dumb buttons and I found this very annoying since the shkval "stops" when you press another button. I have no clue why this is not assigned as an axis but you could change the speed of the shkval. If you open Ka-50/Scripts/Aircrafts/Ka-50/Cockpit/Device_specs/SHKVAL_V.LUA you can adjust these lines: ----------------- slew_velocity_base = math.rad(0.3) -- rad /sec slew_acceleration_base = math.rad(2) -- rad /sqr sec ----------------- First number means slowest slew speed, second the acceleration. I have changed it to: 0.3 and 6. Not that tracks will only play back correctly if the computer has these exact settings.
  6. I would say, whatever dual/duel/affinity/multithreading, fact is that the game runs almost twice as fast with the 1.0.1c patch. That is what the guy wanted to know.......right?
  7. I do use Vsync and MaxFPS. Vsync is working 100% sure. I have MaxFPS at 45 to limit the difference of going from super smooth, 60fps, to 30fps when I look at cities. I found the difference much less noticable when I have frames limited to 45, with only 15fps difference instead of 30. Now, if it is true that with Vsync on you can get eighter 60, or 30 fps and nothing between it, why do I see a difference between 45 and 30, and 45 and 60?
  8. Well I have seen the figure, though I'm wondering WHY I don't experience this in game........
  9. Like 104 Route adviced you in this thread, get the 1.0.1c patch and you will also have Duel Core support ;) Oh and welcome on the ED forums ^^
  10. Sorry if I don't get this (it's a good topic ;)) but in this post Bucic, you mention the following: Now, I wouldn't mind to believe this if I didn't see a huge difference between my limited fps 45, and 30 when I'm near a city. In other words, there must be more steps between them as only 60 or 30 fps...... I do have Triple buffering on, maybe this simply does work on DCS (DirectX game)?
  11. Nope all is fine....must be something else....can't come up with anything at this moment :noexpression:
  12. Well if I have Vsync on, my frames are certainly NOT at 30 but 60 fps......also when I have 50 or 40 fps, they are true.
  13. DCS Blackshark is something different then Battlefield 2, with the difference that DCS Blackshark comes close to reality :D ;)
  14. Well if you have Vsync on you will have more stuttering because you don't allow the tearing. I found that having Vsync on is giving a more pleasant view, though this is rather a preference. The lowest frame rate doesn't really change no matter if you have Vsync on or off, though with Vsync off, it may appear to the eye a bit smoother, if you don't care about the tearing. Note that limiting your FPS in graphics.cfg does not solve the tearing. Edit: For the smoothest gameplay I have Vsync ON, and MaxFPS = 45. My frames drop to 30 due to cities, though it is only a 15 fps difference. If you go from 60 FPS to 30 FPS, this is a more noticeable difference.
  15. Make sure Vertical sync is at Force on. If Vsync is working, then you should have frames limited to your screen refresh rate (60hz/fps) and you will not need to setup MaxFPS in graphics.cfg. With Vsync on there should be no tearing, also not with frames lower than 60. What graphics card do you have?
  16. true true.....:megalol:
  17. Hehe yea seen that MANY people didn't get my traditional crash at the end of each show, I will land "normal" this time. :D
  18. Ah got ya ;) What I always regret is the total lameness the pilot walks around. As good as the flight model is, as horrible is the pilot movement.
  19. Interesting, this should not be happening if you haven't fooled around with graphics.cfg. Anyway, please check your settings in graphics.cfg which can be found in Lock On/Config/graphics.cfg (open with notepad). Then take a look at: Low/Medium/High (whatever you use) { near_clip = 0.2; middle_clip = 4; far_clip = 80000; structures = {40, 5000}; trees = {100000, 8000}; dynamic = {300, 20000}; objects = {3000, 50000}; mirage = {3000, 15000}; surface = {14000, 80000}; lights = {100, 30000}; lod = 1; Make sure this setting is at or above 1. Next to that, make sure you have no mods installed which affect the level of detail of objects. Other than this, I would not know.
  20. Interesting, shouldn't be that hard to implent the outside air temperature? And I think it will be useful to have a clue how effective your rotors will be (which changes by temperature).
  21. Not sure if this works when all external views are disabled, but what I always do is jump to a local F11 view. Just press "LCtr + F11" after ejection.
  22. I will fly the demo again this weekend, and then you can make a (new) HD video from that if you wish (would be awesome since I know nothing about video editing :D). I will PM you once done.
  23. Another tip for X52 users not related to programming but good to know. On the X52 (not the pro) you will have little "jumps" on the X-axis. If you go to the X52 control panel and then select the Deadzones tab, you will see the jumps when you gradually pull the stick backwards. The way to fix this? Not what you would think of. Press and hold any button and pull the stick back again.......no jumps. So, for X52 users, it would be good to tape one button down (preferably one of the muli function display buttons) to increase the precision of the stick!
  24. You think that people will think of watching that track during reinstallation? Next to that, reflying is better than sticking with that old track aswell. Some maneuvers have been improved/added to my demo aswell. ;)
  25. Conclusion: Whatever you prefer ;)
