  1. Every report into that crash I have seen states it was pilot error that was responsible for that crash and not equipment failure. Longer version. I would say that the pilot judged his height for this manoeuvre wrong.

  4. As GG says we need to live with these little quirks. Well until burnthrough range that is. ;) :lol: Only time I use my ECM is when locked by ground targets. If I even think that there is a possibility of an AMRAAM in the air is it switched off and I get out of dodge fast and let my CAP deal with them. :joystick: If I am the fighter I never use ECM. Full stop. When flying the Sues I take extra R-73's IMHO all ECM use does is act like a beacon.... "Hey, I'm over here where these little lines are" :lol: BTW can we hang the "ECM-on-startup-procedure" guys next. :D ;)
  5. IIRC MiG-29K can support up to 8 R-77's with the inner 4 pylons able to carry the R-27 class missiles but as we all know Alfa just drools over this plane so he could confirm this. Also alfa, does the 29K (9.31) and 29K (9.41) have a difference in armament capability?

  7. Because a rule imposed by your squad dictated that only ED default loadout was to be used within the match. Migs were not to use R-77's on outers and Su-27's were not to use Mers

So if we really want realism we should remove the R-77 completely? <sarcasm on>Perhaps then ED could bring back the payload lock so we can limit Russian aircraft to say... 25-30% fuel and arm them with say...... 1-3 missiles only and yeah ermmmm... enable failures so that only a certain number of airframes are actually airworthy. Of course this is all in the name of realism. <sarcasm off> Why were these concerns raised when the weapons mod was first released when 1.1 came out, or when the 504th started using it last year? BTW is it just my imagination or have these forums got really whinney lately

Why am I not suprised that you will send neg rep, afterall you and your fellow squadmate Bsr LOC use this very system to bully and harrass other people like little playground bullies when the teacher is not around cause you got the ok from wags statement that the rep system or PMs are not moderated. Well lovley job, you can insult and bully people but don't let us see it. The mods need to get the forum rules into perspective cause at the moment this stinks. Personally I say remove the rep system or moderate it. Also what do you expect the serbs on this board to do when people like you sit and prod them with a stick. You say the trouble is with people hating the yanks, I say its yanks like you and LOC posting troublesome posts, then when someone gets angered and replies to these post you start the old "your anti-american" bull.

The capability to use the carrier is actualy these parts of the "meinit.xml" This one allows Landing on the carriers <LandRWCategories> <Category CLSID="{05708AED-329E-41c3-9C51-9CCE4AA09380}">Carrier</Category> </LandRWCategories> This allows Take-off to be set for the CVN <TakeOffRWCategories> <Category CLSID="{A899CB38-FECC-46ef-9F85-165779669F56}">AircraftCarrier With Catapult</Category> </TakeOffRWCategories> And this one allows take-off to be set for the kuz <TakeOffRWCategories> <Category CLSID="{498729D7-0504-43f4-9585-F906CFE3B508}">AircraftCarrier With Tramplin</Category> </TakeOffRWCategories> If you search in the meinit.xml file for the Su-33 you will find these entries and it will show you how they are placed in. I reciently added this capability to the 504th squad skinpack for our Su-25T's and we can take-off for the Kuz with a max weight of 15,500kgs, this enables our naval wing to have SEAD & pinpoint strike capabilities for squad flights.
  19. He must be using a LCD. 1.333 is correct aspect ratio for CRT monitor but LCD aspect varies from 1.25 (majority) to 1.6 and even 1.77. depends on what size you use ("normal" or widescreen). Cool vid mate. Rep inbound. :thumbup:
  20. Renaming these files will give you the Su-33 cockpit instead of the Su-27's but this will not give you the ability to have a hook or refueling probe. These are hardcoded into the game/Su-33 and cannot be ported into any other aircraft. At the moment there is no way to enable any other flyable aircraft with refueling/hook capability. Shots, you can do 2 things to have a flyable F/A-18. 1. You can change the Humancockpit=No to yes in the meinit.xml, this will give you the F/A-18 with the Su-27 flight model and cockpit. This includes the ability to use both AAM's and dumb bombs. 2. Back up the F-15 model files in the bazar/world/shapes folder, copy the F/A-18 model files and rename them to the F-15. This replaces the external F-15 model and so will give you the F/A-18 with the F-15 cockpit and flight model but you will only have the ability to use AAM's. You will also need to copy the pylon data for the F/A-18 in the meinit file over the F-15 pylon data for the weapons to be in the proper position. As you can see both options have compromises. If you want the second let me know and I'll make a mod up for you.
