New bugs force us to find new solutions. I copy whole text before editing or modifying the page. I select all, delete and paste the text from buffer, and apply updates. Annoying... The most annoying and sad thing is that no any person in charge or a webmaster pay attention to us.

That's weird because, while I was testing, compression box was empty for many DDS files. Let me try again on other files. Thank you.
-
NVidia's or other some simple DDS viewers can show me how many mipmaps the texture has and the format of it (DTX1? DTX5? etc.) but can't provide any info for Normal Map DDS files because they crash. Irfanview opens all DDS files; that's nice but no any info I wrote above.

[DCS FC3] MiG-29 Complete English Cockpit Mod
Devrim replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
You're welcome my friend. *** An update: The mod is finished. Everything is updated and compatible with latest version of DCS World, but I can't get it work because, I can't create description.lua for this mod. This issue is the same for Bf-109K4 mod too and probably for all my cockpit mods in the future. I can't find any info about how to do that, or no one helps and shows an effective way. I'm stuck here. I hope somehow it will be solved in anyway. When figured it out, I'll release the update. See you -
Can't find that feature and there're no any corner left I've looked at. At least, could you please and please tell about possible methods to get a material names? If I need to buy and install a 3D software, I'll try to do it. Please!
-
Yes. Just installed IrfanView and it shows Normal Maps without crashing. That's nice but it won't give detail info about Mipmaps ve DTX. In the other hand, I like it after ACDSee I use for years. Very funny icon. :) Thanks anyway ams999.

Hi guys. All viewer software I have can't open DDS files that contain a Normal Map. It crashes. Unfortunately the devs won't update their software. Do you know a DDS viewer software that can open (and give info about) latest DDS files? Thanks.

[DCS FC3] MiG-29 Complete English Cockpit Mod
Devrim replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi friends. I think I completed the warning lights but, I have very very limited sources tho. That's why I'm not sure; some lights may not represent precise meaning but I'll correct them while finishing updating. RWR back-lighting issue must be gone now. My attachment pool is full on this website (I need to remove obsolete ones). So, I uploaded it to my Google Drive. Click on: Mig-29 Cockpit Mod v1.2.1 - Temp Fix.zip to reach it. Please try it out and I'll be pleased if you give a feedback. Thanks so much. -
Current extractor software can't do that. It crashes! That's why I'm crying... Extractor isn't updated, ED isn't doing anything...
-
Maybe I did miss something. :D :D

Hi mate. You've already done right move. Actually I think ED's new cockpit will be released very soon, that's why I discontinued updating that mod. :)

[DCS FC3] MiG-29 Complete English Cockpit Mod
Devrim replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks so much for the shots mate, and sorry for your right engine. :D Uhh. This could be about a conflict between new lighting system and my obsolete mod texturing. That's why I need to update the mod as soon as possible. :) -
DCS: AJS-37 Viggen Sound Effects Fixes
Devrim replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
No, no need to be sorry. I got you actually, and that's nice; They'll fix it I guess. I laughed at my typo (pooping) by the way. :D -

Devrim replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hmm. I didn't test (as your saying) "pooping" issue actually but it doesn't sound bad in my mod. Maybe I didn't even aware of "popping" problem I guess. :) Thanks for videos Mr.Kline. -
[DCS World / FC3] SU-25A & SU-25T English Cockpit Mods
Devrim replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi Kervin. For clean HUD glass for SU-25T, there's a zip file attached here. There're two files in it. Move them into my mod folder (in Saved Games/Liveries/Cockpit SU-25T/English/) and please try it, if it works... It should work. Waiting for your feedback. Thanks. :) su25t-cpt-hud-glass.zip -
[DCS FC3] MiG-29 Complete English Cockpit Mod
Devrim replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi guys. So sorry for my late response nowadays. Had problems with my PC system and very busy at work, etc.etc. *** Could you please try this? In the zip, there're two files; description.lua and Mig-29_cpt_lamps.tga I assume you have already installed the mod into Saved Games, Liveries folder. Move those 2 files into the mod folder; "English" folder in Cockpit_MiG-29S, A, G whatever. Don't forget to select English in Special tab in Options. Please try it. It should be working with my mod. When I finish new textures and also "if" "I" "can" "manage" "to" "get" "the" "proper" "description.lua", I will be able to update the mod. *** For those who have no idea about the problem; We need a true description.lua file that contains a list that tells DCS how to use the textures in the 3D cockpit model. If you can't prepare a proper lua, you'll see corrupted textures in game. We used Uboat's app for years but now (as I understand) he hardly find time to update the app for the latest cockpit texturing technology. That's why I can't complete the mod. *** Ok. I'll be glad if you feedback about lamps. Thanks. See you. *** The attachment is removed. Please see the first post of this thread. Thanks. -
[DCS FC3] MiG-29 Complete English Cockpit Mod
Devrim replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
First of all, thanks a lot guys. Thank you. Hi Panthera. ED completely renewed cockpit textures. I'm doing all re-work on all textures. Actually, yes, my mod's textures are still working with current Mig-29 cockpit except for warning lights. I handled warning lights. At least I will release it and tell how to install, in a few days. So that this mod can be used until I'll finish the rest. See you. -
Actually, I can see texture names under "Textures" window but having trouble to find "maretial names"? Could you please show me? Thanks a lot.
-
Do you enable it in SPECIAL tab in OPTIONS?
-
Hi. The problem: We have no working a tool to get description.lua from a cockpit EDM file. You added Customized Cockpit menu for the modules to use custom cockpit mods. That is an excellent feature! We do own cockpit mods. We used to use a tool developed by Uboats (thanks him tons of tons!) but it doesn't portable with EDM files anymore, since you've started to use new texturing technique (or something). Could you please solve this issue? A tool or a method for us to get that lua? Thank you. D.

Syrian and Afghan theatre of operations confirmed!
Devrim replied to WHOGX5's topic in Bugs and Problems
Actually there're similar things. The angle of shoot may fool us about the distance. There's Seyhan Lake in same direction in DCS and Goggle Maps. You're right there's no big stadium near the base but there's a sport area (football field) or something near the base. It's obvious, they made almost same model of the base. -
Ouch. That hurts... Anyway. Thanks for your reply back.
-
Thanks mate. I'm working on Mig-29's cockpit. I can open its EDM file only in ModelViewer2, but it doesn't show me exactly which texture uses which DDS file. Other than this, I have no tool to see/get/create the list for the description lua.

Why? Whhhyyy? Please... Update this app, please.:cry_2::joystick:
