    Turbulence

"Yes I had bombs. Why would it only be at low level?" Just guessing based on physics: Ground/terrain lift effects. Denser air near the ground. -Pv-
  2. I'm suspecting this is a controller sensitivity issue, not a simulation modeling issue or it would happen to everyone. Check your controller sensitivity and null zones. In most aircraft, rudder should affect yaw at least a little bit. Some aircraft will produce positive roll, some will produce inverse roll. Flipping over though with only rudder input? That I have not seen. If you are using a twist grip controller, use your desktop control panel and operate all your axis though full motion and in combinations. Perhaps your controller motions are driving your other axis out of their null zones. -Pv-
  3. I use VoiceAttack for all my key intensive games. I don't play without it. For the money, no better game software exists. -Pv-
  4. There are many aircraft which cannot stop quickly without the addition of full speedbreaks and even the flaps help. The A10 and most military fighters included. Failure to land into the wind also contributes to over-shoot. Over compensated directional control on roll out is likely due to activating the nose wheel steering too soon. Use rudder only control on initial landing and activate NWS only after slowing below 60 knots and yaw very gently until near stopped. I use very slight twitching movements and pulse the rudder. -Pv-
  5. Solved: Copy folder and contents FROM DCSW 1 C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor\UnitPayloads TO DCSW2: C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\MissionEditor\UnitPayloads In DSCW2 the \UnitPayloads folder doesn't yet exist unless you have created a custom payload in that version. -Pv-
  6. Does anyone know where the user custom loadout file for the A10c is located in V1.5.x? I would like to copy this file into DCSW2. Thanks -Pv-
  7. Have you tried restarting your computer from a cold start? Maybe a graphics issue? Does your computer meet or exceed minimum specs? -Pv-

    Download is SLOOOW

Torrent will increase in speed the longer you download and the more people are downloading. If you are inpatient and jump ship before the acceleration begins, you will never see the advantage of using it. -Pv-
  9. It's more a matter of how many times you can pump the break, not how long. If I had to use it and both hyd systems have failed, I would hold it to a full stop and leave the plane. -Pv-
  10. I think some of them time out. Others are waiting for an event which never happens (like flying too far away or off course for example.) -Pv-
  11. Instead of trying to save the "zoom" level set the seat position (move the seat fwd-bck) and save that. You get the same effect of seeing more or less cockit with no distortion. -Pv-
  12. Yes, this was the case. Working as expected. -Pv-
  13. I've been flying the A10C in DCSW2 so I know it's possible. When I installed DCSW2, I allowed to install into a new directory and I watched the installer copy over the 1.5x aircraft into it. You should see the aircraft copied over to: <drive path>\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\A-10C After starting DCSW2 and viewing the Module Manager, it took a while for the UI to check the licenses and enable them. Maybe 5-10 minutes. -Pv-
  14. I did what you did a few days ago. I had to install DCS World 2 to get the NTTR (Nevada) map to install and load. The DCSW2 installer by default will install into a new directory (good idea) and knows how to port all your *UNMODDED* aircraft from your 1.5x installation to it. Be aware there are some 2.0.2 issues with stuttering and ATC. Don't forget when starting DCSW2 to immediately (before flying for the first time) go into the options settings and set the game resolution to your native monitor/desktop or you will get a simulation window in which you cannot click any of the cockpit controls including the escape menu. I've been flying the A10C in the NTTR with the issues stated above. -Pv-
  15. When the A10C takes damage while flying in Nevada and DCS World 2.x Alpha, there are no Caution lights on the warning panel, only the alarm sound. There is no master caution light and no way to turn off the alarm. I installed 2.0.2 in a new directory and the installer ported my installed aircraft over to the new location automatically. I did not have any mods installed in the original DCSW. -Pv-
  16. When the A10C takes damage while flying in Nevada and DCS World 2.x Alpha, there are no Caution lights on the warning panel, only the alarm sound. There is no master caution light and no way to turn off the alarm. -Pv-
  17. I had to create the "View" directory in the new location, but that worked. Anyone remember how to get rid of the cockpit blurry text texture on the 3D panel? -Pv-
  18. Thanks! Will give it a shot. -Pv-
  19. I installed DCSW 2.x and Nevada. DCSW 2 installed into a new directory and seemed to do a pretty good job of detecting my previous DCSW and porting over aircraft and settings. One thing missing is my custom aircraft snap views. What file do I need to move to what location to get those working again, or do I have to created them again from scratch? Also, I cannot remember what graphic option I need to change to remove the blurry cockpit text in the A10C. -Pv-
  20. By default, the 1st stage is the 'P' key unless you are using a modified keyboard file. You also have to have the PAC enabled in the cockpit. -Pv-
  21. I have not modified ANY file when mapping joystick buttons to keys. I use the built-in UI to see what key(s) are mapped by default to the feature I want to use, then use the software keymapper which comes with the stick to assign the desired button to the key. If there is no key in the UI assigned to the feature, then I try to find an unused combo. -Pv-
  22. You will eventually teach yourself now to maneuver efficiently. -Pv-
  23. I don't use the default loadouts any more. I copied the ones that I want to use and made new custom names which all start the same "My..." for instance. Now I only use the custom loadouts. In your case, only the "realistic" ones. -Pv-
  24. That was it! Thanks. -Pv-
  25. I've been flying the sim for a few years and this is the first time I've seen it washed out this much. Even when the Sun is off to the side it seems worse than I remember. Isn't that one of the reasons for the meta imbedded into the class to reflect some of this? -Pv-
