I have that when I am by Mineralnye Vody. Ths is an objective in one of my missions and I always get the black box if my TAD is AUTO. If I change it to Manual then the terrain apperars. I can zoom all the way in then.

Ground units looking like Boxes until REALLY close

I think its more of the zoom level. In my case its when i zoom in on them, they turn to boxes. Its a bugger to repeat though. If you look at my images some are father out while some are closer. I could have them turn from box to unit while using the zoom then zoom out farther and they would turn back to boxes -

Initial aircraft placement question

You can pick where your plane starts on the ramp. You will see a box with parking position or number when you select ramp start. -
Speed did you get a chance to look at my attacked mission above? I am still searching for a way to get the getupdate to run only on the task that was picked from the random triggers. When I had it in before it would cycle to the next task when asking for an update. I would also like to know if its possible to change it so you have to type "Task" to get to the next task instead of typing it once and it cycling through the list. Later part being the way I have it set up now in the attached mission.

I might of then accidentally removed a group activate then. I will download new version. Thanks for the quick fix!

Dragon we played more of your missions tonight and had a blast. Very nicely done once again. I did find a problem though. You use deactivate groups and that causes instant CTD. Check my link below. I noticed this on GuadautaRush. I had 2 CTDs while hosting it at same location so I looked in my logs and seen it was transport.dll. Right away I knew there must be a trigger with group deactivate. I found two of them. I simply took them out and didnt have any problems then. I do know them groups wont be deactivated but it didnt look critical. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69986

I got that part figured out. I am getting close to the logic of my mission down. Right now the way I have it set up is that when the player enters a zone the mission will look for "TASK" in the chat. Once someone types that it will give you a random "task/mission" out of 10. After that task/mission is complete it waits 15 seconds then will give you a new one automatically. Its so sweet that I actually got that part to work. I am having an issue with the getupdate part. I would like for anytime during the mission a client be able to type "getupdate" and it would show the last mission. Right now when I tpye that it actually toggles the next random one. I took it out and haven't messed with it again because my brain is triggered and switched out haha. I attached what I have so far. UPS came with my new videocard as I was typing this so I am going to get this puppy installed and continue latter. Mission is still named MPTEST_fixed MPTEST_fixed.miz

C:\Users\Mine\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Logs check net-server.log maybe Mine just shows when my server was started but I was testing and didnt kill anything. Nate beat me to it and pointed you to right file :-)

I am doing something very similar. This is what I planed on doing. Trigger Once / time more than 2/ Flag 350 ON Random mission/task complete trigggers (Im sure you have triggers for each random task completion) Add this to each ones action Increase Flag 350, 1 (Adds 1 to 350) Trigger once/ Flag is more than (350, 2 ) / set flag 351 on Trigger once/ unit in zone && Flag 351 true / set flag 352 on Trigger once/ time since flag 352 is 60/ message "RTB" That is what I planed on doing with my mission. I have not gotten that far though. I have 10 task in mine and clients will get 4 out the 10. So my trigger will be 350 is more than 4. I think my theory is correct. You could give it a try. Like I said I have not gotten that far yet. Thanks to this post I got the random stuff down!! -

Try setting your group id to 01 and own id to 01. See if that works -
Thank you so much for taking your time and taking a look at it. I noticed the character thing as well. The funny thing is in the ATO and your sample mission it does the same thing for me. I figured since it worked I could copy and paste it from them instead of the notepad ++ script. Obviously it didnt work and it gave me them funny characters. Thanks for the explanation! I see how you used the switch triggers in your ATO. For now I was just trying to get it to work. Next I will have to deal with randomization and these switches. Eventually I would like 3 task with each task having a possibility of 3 outcomes. Alpha task: 1 convoy or 1 convoy2 or 1 covoy3 Bravo task: activate group1 or activate group2 or activate group 3 Charlie task: same as above different groups I think I seen this in another thread. I am trying to figure this out. I seem to be stuck. I am doing a simple test with your scripts and I can't get them to work. Will you take a look at my attached mission and tell me what I am doing wrong. I looked at your sample mission and ATO and seems what I am doing is correct. I am trying to type in the chat "TASK". Then I will get the position of the group I have placed in the editor. I was up to the AM last night and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. MPTEST.miz

Yes broadcast spi works. Worked on my server all afternoon. Messages can now be sent as well -
I noticed loading times have increased a bit. Tradoff I have seen has been well worth it

Great! I like the idea of destroyed SAMs. Like you said we are not SEAD. I gotta look to see how you did that. I thought it might of been a bug. Sorry Player aircraft I have a question about. On my missions I always use a player aircraft for testing but I change it to client for mulitplayer. Are you saying I dont need to do that and guys can join that plane if its set to player? Thank you very much for releasing this to the public. You made the triggers and groups very easy to read. It will be very valuable when I use your script package in my next mission. (I was waiting for patch) Now I can do some editing to this mission and get familiar how it all works. Actually looks pretty simple.

First it plays much smoother for me. Specially at the airfields. MP broadcast now works! We tested with 4 guys. LOVE IT Did the contrails get tweaked? They looked a bit better.
