All of us at one time or another have said "Oh $hit" when our most feared enemy gets on our 6.For me its the F-15 Eagle (if Im flying on the Russian side, which I always do.)Any bird can get on my 6,and I will deal with him or her,but when I look at my instruments and see its a F15,I get all tense and say to myself "Oh $hit" Priority #1 AVOIDANCE !!!!! Which aircraft terrifies you the most and why.

Outstanding !! Thank for the heads up, I really appreciate the fact that we are not being ignored, and that the honest truth, regardless of how harsh is a better policy. Take your time guys,I'll find something to keep me busy in the meantime.

F-117's being phased out starting as of now.
NY3D replied to Pilotasso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Im shocked.... Why would they wanna do that??? Pilotasso....thanx for sharing, very interesting indeed.:book: -
I quite often fly the SU-30 (using Modman files system program.)There isnt much difference at all as far as the cockpit goes, however if you noticed, landing this bird is somewhat more dificult due to "sight picture" on the final stages of landing,or final approach. You cant see the runway once you start to flare(I use the ILS system in this case.)Is this correct or is the camera position wrong???:book:

OK...Barrel roll, I stand corrected. How is it executed??I mean rollin aint really that hard but how does he end up on the other side, meaning if he was on the wingmans right side, after the manuever he's on the same position except he 's on the left side, looks very cool when done properly.thanx for the input buddy.

Not to long ago I watched the movie "Stealth" with J. Foxx.Should have been nominated for comedy of the year. But anyway there was this part where 3 aircrafts are flying in a V formation, and one aircraft(the computerized one.)made a move that really blew me away, but i dismissed it as a HOLLYWOOD manuever. However,I saw a video called "FLANKER" where the same manuever was executed that i had seen in stealth, this got me thinkin....maybe it is posible:pilotfly: The manuever, what takes place is that one of the birds from either left or right side does a roll and ends up at the same exact spot, but on the opposite side. How is this done:book: thanx in advance for the input guys.

Air intakes...Mig29 and SU-27 ...question.
NY3D replied to NY3D's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
THANX Learn something evryday.Nice photos,I hope the person that took these shots doesnt get too close...he he:D thanx for the info guys. -
I have always wondered why the Mig-29 is the only aircraft that has closing doors and louvers on the intakes.I read that was intended to protect the engines from F.O.D. (forein object damage...excuse my spelling)If this is true then why was'nt this feature implemented on other aircrafts like the SU-27 and others.Strange,as far as I know the mig29 is the only aircraft with this feature.(I could be wrong though.).Thanx for the input.

Ever since I bought lock on I was fascinated with Russian aircrafts, first time flying these bad boys,in fact I enjoyed it so much that when i tried to land the F15 yesterday I crashed...BOOM!!!! I am rusty when it comes to my own countries warbirds shame, shame, shame:doh: Anyway I wanted to ask a couple of questiones regarding the F15.I noticed that the air intakes tilt, sometimes they are straight and sometimes in an angle(downwards)What is this for??? I never did find this out.Thanx in advance.

Those are cool looking Flankers! There is no fighter airplane in the air today that looks as good as Flanker. I highly agree, best lookin fighters in the world....very effective too:pilotfly:

I downloaded the WF-33 model, nice paint jobs my man.You did a really nice job. However their is one problem, when you land the aircraft the rear tires sink into the runway, making it seem that it's running through wet concrete:D ....how can i fix that ????

What is the diference between "altitude" and "attitude".I believe it's the ALT-1 key and the ALT-2 key though I could be wrong, nevertheless can someone explain to me or define "attitude".:helpsmilie:

I have a question: Let's say I am building a mission and I gave it a starting time of let's say 18:00 hrs. Can I change the starting time without having to build the mission from scratch ???Basicly what I am trying to do is change my starting time from 18:00hrs. to 15:00 hrs. because of the position of the sun. Is this posible without having to start all over again ?

Im currently using FC 1.12a My question is,how do these guys (LOMAC users that make videos.)manage to change camera positions. For example I saw a video where a SU-27 is coming in on a final approach, but the way he had the camera set-up made it look really cool.By watching the video it seems that the camera is near the "touchdown point" and to the side, the result...you can see the aircraft approaching and landing from a new perspective.Does anyone know how they pulled it off, cause as far as i know one can not move cameras in LOMAC,unless of course you're a programmer, then anything is posible i guess.Anyway I just thought maybe one of you guys can share some knowledge....thanx in advance.:pilotfly:

Hi guys, I got a question. I often fly the SU-33 and 27. On my final approach just before touchdown,I slowly pull back on the stick to a 9 degree AoA.My question is,once I got my bird in that configuration can I lock or hold that angle of attack until I safely touchdown ??? I know that the "H" key will keep the aircraft at a certain altitude, but I want to control my angle of attack for landing.Any clues ??:helpsmilie:thanx for the help:pilotfly:

Oh Lord..... This is going to be quite an experience for the pilots that are use to the western technology. But what I wanna know is does the president realize how much its gonna cost to train these pilots, also money for simulators and the works that go along with it.??I really wanna see how this turns out, sounds like a real challenge to me,also wish no pilots get hurt in this phase of their training.I think this is a great opportunity to fly such a beautifull bird, man it would be nice if we had some SU-27's and 30's in our arsenal.Im not too crazy about our Invisible fighter, for $355 million a bird is to much for a fighter that aint even gonna be use for A2G missions...strictly a air superiority role.Dont get me wrong I think the Raptor is an excellent bird,I just dont think it's worth all that money.:pilotfly: Im not an expert,so my opinion carries very little weight. But these russian fighters are down right nasty,The last thing i wanna see on my tail is an SU-35 or 37.Has anyone seen these bad boys in action ??? They are DEADLY.Anyway thsnx for sharing the info, please keep us posted, you have better access to these articles...thanx for sharing.

Carrier landings on Vodka..... Do not try it...chances are you'll be lost anyway:pilotfly: Seriously,if you are a die hard sim fanatic, you will love LOMAC,I have played every flight sim since I came back from Desert Storm(1991) and I have never seen anything like this. You got some hard work ahead of you but it's all worth it.Enjoy it buddy and welcome to the ever growing number of LOMAC addicts:P
