  1. Canopy looks F-35ish.
  2. It was mentioned somewhere (here or at BMS) loadout is dictated by the ATO mostly.
  3. Forget the A-10 for a moment, use a strike eagle carrying 12 mk-82AIRs. Due to the fact that an enemy may have LR defence systems everywhere and EWR systems it makes sense to do a run it at low level. A pop up with conventional weapons or CBU's puts you slap bang it what I call the range of everyone ranging from Iglas, 37mm or upwards flak, Zu-23 or similar, and even medium range sams unless your target is next to the sam site. Now remember there's this little thing called reality meaning you don't always have a stockpile of expensive toys, at 300 feet and 5-600 knots there's bugger all that's got much chance of hitting you without barrage fire. (Remarkably it isn't easy to shoot a jet that's crossed your line of sight in a few seconds.) Now you run into the target and release your twelve bombs in whatever way you like. (Pairs, singles, Impact, airburst). The bombs are well behind you when they go off meaning frag isn't a worry. At no time in this aside from the 5-10 seconds needed to track the target do you have to provide a stable aircraft. In a pop up you must climb and dive, especially during climb you're vulnerable, more so if you have the burners going. (At night everyone can see you and IR sams are more of a threat at all times.) If you don't use burners you're going to be slow at the apex of your climb. EDIT: You don't need to be diving much at all to use CCIP, to use your example of a runway how bloody hard is it to hit if you're dropping lots of bombs. Also, you were given a link to a document stating that over a 1,000 were used in real life. Attempt to read people's responses before asking the same question over and over again, it merely makes you look like a fool.
  4. It's almost impressive, almost being the key word in this sentence.
  5. Saweet, that was a good campaign.
  6. Combat Helo looked at showing the FLIR mounted on the nose but they found it was causing headaches so they dropped it.
  7. Nice, the demo's good.
  8. Very useful, can get kills with vikhrs at 9-10km at a fairly normal altitude.
  9. JDAM's won't work at 500 feet, plus, you can use CCIP with the FPM only just below the horizon. Far easier to use CCIP.
  10. And the Prozac, don't forget that. :D
  11. I believe it's the next step in what is already implemented. Basically, for now in a mission it is possible to have a certain number of munitions, aircraft or amount of fuel at an airbase and you can simulate resupply I believe. In FC3 I think the point is in a campaign (SP) then you can run out of fuel and weapons if you are careless.
  12. :D, No body trusts carlo kopp... take heed.
  13. One thing I noticed is "DCS world includes a Free Su-25T with unlimited online capabilities", that's new by the looks of things.
  14. For now maybe not but f*ck me that eagle cockpit looks incredible. You giving us a hint wags? :D (Waits for storm of speculation.)
  15. Or because someone is going to accuse someone else of being Power Nazis? :)
  16. Hey, I agree with Demongornot, WTF is going on here? :D
  17. Ok, then go on and take out another 7 only with the gun, while you're at it you could try lobbing 4 mavs at tanks in one pass and be 90% certain of kills, and when you run out of ammo just press a couple of buttons and bingo, any other asset in the air can have your target shown on their TAD or similar. In the case of the apache you could simply lase the target and let their LST find the target for you. And do all that at night. (Hint, the mercury pod is sh*t in RL.)
  18. bomb fusing and AIM-9X isn't modeled. (Airburst fusing would be pointless since frag isn't modeled either.)
  19. RIP, very sad. Great man.
  20. Why in F*cks name do you want a EA-18G, so you take off, fly in circles for a bit while everyone else goes to blow stuff up. That's got to be one of the most boring fighters in the world. Specially in a sim with bugger all ECM modelling as it is.
  21. @DunMac, just checked TGP training and no issues at all. Played through fine my end.
  22. You sure you performed the next step, and were you getting voice instruction before. A track or video would be helpful.
  23. Oops, sorry, didn't know about the request repair, my mistake.
  24. Great. If there's three aircraft I want to fly it's the tonka, gazelle and chinook.
