Place a waypoint over the position you want it to hover and then assign an advanced waypoint action of Orbit and set the speed and altitude to 0. Then stop condition, select Time and set it to whatever time you want, the format is HH:MM:SS/Day
In the F-16 (vipers in the storm) the havequick/ Time of day is used on the secure radios to allow them to work together I believe. I'd assume the same is in the A-10 but since all are radios are "secure" in the DCS A-10 it's pointless. IFF and Secure voice aren't simulated but you can click the switches i think.
From a stationary target it's much easier to get an accurate shot, firing on the move will increase any error margin of the Computers and since they're charging towards a target (not applicable in DCS) there's the need to get rounds off so they don't end up stupidly close.
Buy combined arms first and then download this

You just need one of those files and run it to install CA.
Use the best weapons for the job, in afghanistan they use the expensive PGM's for every mission. (And the good old gun. :D) If you need to stop a massive offensive take CBU-97's nad mavericks, not dumb bombs.
I actually quite like Dumb bombs as I think they're more fun.
In South Osetia Pirates I was easily clearing 10,000 feet with the standard load, even at the beginning with a lot of fuel. (Me and my wingman were then shot down by MANPAD's and the heli's crashed almost on top of each other. :D)
Aircraft specific pictures back when loading, like in LOMAC. I must say the pictures in LOMAC while loading were beautiful. Didn't mind how long it took to load. :D
