  1. What can I say, fantastic job with models! They are phenomenal. It nearly blow me out of chair. Now I can start saving for Cray!:clap_2:
  2. Exactly. Just look at F-14 and F-18 for example. Both are AI aircraft, yet one has ultra detailed model and one has it from 8 years ago? How is this? They should make all AI aircraft modelled at same level. Ofcourse there is nothing wrong with high detailed AI aircraft either.
  3. The TAS and AOA indicator dont work. Still! If i want to check real speed i must use external view. This sucks. Such important things not fixed after 3 years of patches/whatever. They(ED) completely ignore western planes. Same with F-15 regarding TAS/GS which btw broke after Flaming Cliffs. It worked correctly in Lomac. And is 99% chance it wont get fixed in Black Shark according to devs. Then the end of Lockon series and we will end without very basic avionics features. Not to mention imaginary K model Maverick modeling.
  4. What I would really like to see in 1.2 is revamped visual effects of bombs exploding. Currently they are very simple and limited to only some weapons. Frag bombs, cluster yes they have satisfying effects. But what about napalm, penetrating, fuel air bombs? They have been left with no distinctive special effects whatsoever. Also damage modeling is a big issue here. Just how efective are penetration bombs on hardened targets compared to normal? So I would like ED to take their time and include this in Black Shark. After all, it will be very concentrated on the ground battle. We all who have bought this game deserve having these things in it, its the very basic thing to have in such a sim. What is the point of having so many different weapons but they dont function properly? If that means postponing release date so be it. Im wiling to wait for this and I think others will agree with me especialy because this is the last version before the end of game. If someone from devs read this, a reply would be welcome. Remember take your time and keep up the good work. We want to have a stable and quality product.
  5. If you mean changing terrain so it will look more sharp and beatiful like in 1.02 you must get rid of transparency present in FC. To do that you need to change values FogParam2=1.1 to 0 and other values near zero. (multiplier) in graphics cfg. That way you will get nice solid structures and better immersion. You can also change terrain LOD distances to values found in 1.02. That way you will get more detailed terrain from longer distances. But beware of big FPS drop. I hope this answers your question.
  6. Awesome rig but why ATI? I dont understand, 7900GTX powns them all and Nvidia is so much better for Lockon. Where did you get that RAM?:shocking:
  7. I dont own such brutal system Im just asking in advance because someday I will buy such system and want to have everything maxed out. Therefore I ask if somebody has similar rig to this. Water on very high, maxed vis. range , mirrors on max, heat blur, full AA/AF...I think such system should deal easily with that. After all its all mighty FX and brutal 7900GTX. OK maybe not vis. range but who knows? Offtopic: To increase quality of scenery and increase frame rates get rid of that transparency. Modify values in graphics.cfg line Fogparam2=1.1 to 0 and other values also near zero. Should be a major improvement when flying over cities.:smartass:
  8. Does anybody have such system or just fx-55 and what are your FPS on highest settings? Can you play the game flawlessly? Because the most powerfull rig i saw here was that of EvilScotsman (Athlon 4800+).

  10. OMG rattler you dont have a clue about these two jets do you? EF is nowhere near F-22 and particulary not in RCS. EF has just reduced RCS and is not considered a stealth plane. Add to this weapons and it has the very visible radar signature. EF has traditional shape, while F-22 has not, kinda boxy looking as you san see. If we are to compare these 2 jets, this is the area where Raptor is the most superior to the Typhoon. Period. I say again Eurofigher is NOT a stealth plane.
  11. 100% agreed. And the footage used is from documentary about mig-21 and has nothing to do with this claimed event. Its really unbelievable how the editors can show such piece of trash to general public and they(public) even believe it.
  12. You messed things here. Just how tiny little impact does an internal gun have on top speed? Not a factor. Ofcourse weapon pylons are a factor here. They produce extra drag and are a penalty for top speed. But I have never seen F-15 on an airshow with it. Only completely clean aircraft with a gun included of course. Not all aircraft on airshows are just for aerobatics. Only applys to aerobatics teams with planes configured specialy for that purpose. Others are completely operational ready but without pylons&weapons.:pilotfly:
  13. Pilotaso you dont have to be arrogant like that. I know a plane is much less maneuverable a high altitudes due to thin atmosphere and needs greater speed to turn but as you said, F-15 should dominate here COMPARED to other aircraft. Your statement perfectly resembles what i had in mind. And btw this is supposed to be a constructive discussion to accept other members opininon not starting a flame war. Again this is just my impression, doesnt meen to be like IRL. If F-15 is so maneuverable IRL than Im positively surprised since F-15 is my favourite fighter.
  14. When I fly F-15 I have a feeling it is too maneuverable at lower altitudes, its unpowered especialy at higher altitudes where it should dominate. Here is slow and unagile despite this is the area that it should feel home the most. Well my opinion is based from airshow videos seeing F-15 perform. Ofcourse the area where is lacks most is the avionics. Lack of air-air modes, improper current modes which are undermodelled... and very unreliable and vulnereble to ground clutter radar. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IT GOES BLIND AFTER BANDIT BROKE THE LOCK. Then its very hard to redetect him. Amongs other things it lacks datalink, advanced IFF and possibly other stuff I dont know. What are your impressions? Is current situation representative of the real thing? PS: Lockon simulates a combination of apg-63 and apg-70 radar right? So it should have navigation like in su-27 with waypoints on radar display,etc...

  17. Omg what is this? I have never expirienced anything like this yet I was playing Lomac a lot. Maybe you were using wrong drivers? If you want to see truly beautiful effects of missile trails go download a clip where these first improved effects were used. It really looked realistic.

  20. The patch 1.12a has made missiles and bombs literaly useless. I would like to point out especially cluster bombs which are broken, useless whatever you like. I droped them (CBUs, RBKs..) on targets like trucks, APCs and wtf??? They just dont get destroyed, as simple as that. They require a direct hit. Its like attacking a bunker not a thin skinned vehicle! OMG! This worked completely well in 1.11 for example but is broken now. Now I would like to know if this sliped undetected into a game as a bug, or it was deliberately moddeled that way? Because its a complete bullshit, A-G practically impossible, A-A impossible, frustrating with broken air-air missiles. Whats left? Just flying around, enjoying scenery or what? MG what have you done with this game devs? Please respond to this it is the very important issue, I dont want the thread to dissapear just like that. :(

  22. Yes they do. And short range missiles, particulary aim-9 are severely undermodelled.:mad:
  23. I have a feeling that I am using first generation missiles from Vietnam era rather than most modern ones in this version. They have become ineffective against air targets which are releasing chaff or hardly maneuvering. Even at longer ranges the missile will go after a single chaff and be wasted. Unbelievable! The air combat is prety much impossible or frustrating now because it doesnt matter in which aircraft you are. I was flying in Mig-29 and fired r-77,r-27 on escaping B-1B and I couldnt hit it. The missiles got spoofed as soon as he released chaff. They are extremely vulnerable to ECM now.
  24. I was flying in f-15 at high altitude at low rpm setting then I increased the throttle to 100%, plane starts to lose speed more slowly. Everything OK. Then I engaged afterburners and wth??? It starts quickly loosing speed, I make sure everything is as it should be and try again. And the same story. The plane bleeds speed more quickly with afterburners engaged than with normal power at high altitude. Its like deploying an airbrake. What is this all about?:helpsmilie: And another thing. F-15 cockpit symbology is absolutely unreadable. At 1024x768 or 1280x1024 its impossible to read HUD or PACS or RWR at default cockpit fov. ( how do you change it to be like in Lomac?) My question is why is this the case, because it was completely fine in 1.02 at such resolutions. Now its practicaly impossible to fly F-15 because of such serious flaws and its bugs.
