I'm sorry i jump this thread but i too have problem with FOV, i have new widescreen with 1680x1050 and i change the aspect ratio to 1.6 in the graphics config file and now i see OK but i'm very close to the HUD and don't have more view on the side, please can some please explain to me what to do ? And how do i see if i have FOV on my screen? Or it is something in the game? i don't understand, i have a widescreen with 1680x1050, does it mean i should have FOV? Thank you.

What is FOV, and if i have 1.12 do i have it in Lock-On? Thank you.

When i fly in Lock-On with the new widescreen the picture is stretched and i read and see pictures with wide screen that you get more view on the sides, and they say to edit the "config\view\view.lua" and i don't understand what i have to change so i can fly Lock-On good with the new widescreen, and this is what i have now in "config\view\view.lua" -- Camera view angle limits {view angle min, view angle max}. I don't understand what is all the hassle about the "cobra" maneuver ? If you ask any fighter pilot from the east or from the west they will all tell you that today it's all about missiles and the planes stealth ability, the days of old fashion dog fight is over, the cobra maneuver is only good for aerobatics shows, it looks impressive but a good missile will shoot him dwon any way! :pilotfly:

I did another dog fight with the same planes but now i fly the SU27 and the PC AI fly the F15, both of us have guns only and 50% feul, just like before only now it took me 3 minutes to take him dwon, don't get me wrong i like the F15 more but in Lock-On the SU27 flys better I hope you like it. :pilotfly:

I did fly on line in Hyper Lobby and i took down some planes and i was down also, this video was a nice training flight and nothing more, you think you can do better, or you think you have better pilot skills good for you. :pilotfly:

I could not agree more with your last sentence. I do sometimes fight with missiles but it is not as fun as it is with "guns only", with missiles the fight takes less than a minute and it does not matter how good pilot you are, in the end the missile will get you, but with "guns only" the dog fight is like a dance, a dance to the death, and it also tests your skills as a pilot and the planes performances. I know it is not how a real dog fight looks like today with all the new missile technology, but Lock-On is not real it is just a simulator and a very good one and the beauty of it is that i can fly and fight as i like! :joystick: :pilotfly:

I play with the vector expantion zoom in zoom out with my head, i keep my head as i feel more suitable to the situation. Thank you. :thumbup:

I did a dog fight F-15 v SU-27 guns only, i'm in the Eagle and the SU-27 is AI in the "excellent" level, i record this with Fraps, it took me some time but in the end i shoot him down. I use TrackIR 3 pro + VE and CH HOTAS. I hope you like it. :pilotfly:

Of course the video is edited it is to show what happened, but it's not "crap" it is all true story and the pictures are real! I know it is hard to believe it, even Boieng did not believe the story in the begining but when they had the facts they understand that the story is real. Try model this in Lock-On. :joystick:
