Update: Got it working D'oh! I couldn't use my old profiles to test it, and I didn't realize that the new profile I made didn't have the values set correctly. Working fine now!

I was hoping to get back into DCS A10 after a long break, and needed to upgrade DCS World. I was using Helios with 2 monitors before, and not using steam. I have installed DCS World through Steam, made sure it is up to date, and got my monitors displaying correctly. But when I use Helios, my gauges don't move. They display, but nothing actually functions now. I deleted and reinstalled Helios. I made a new profile and added new gauges since my old profiles were for a different monitor setup. I have done "remove setup" and "setup DCS A10" in helios and made sure the path is correct. Ran as admin. What can I do to try to get these gauges working again?

Does anyone have a link to this profile? The forums are currently down.

Thanks again for the help. I already had my MFCD's exported so I just needed to line things up. Took me a few minutes to understand how the binding works, but I did a few gauges and OSB's and they all work! I know what I'll be doing tomorrow :P

First of all, is there anywhere I can download Helios from? This link: http://www.scsimulations.com/showgroups.php Has been down for a few days, and with the Hawgtouch page down for now I was worried that maybe Helios is no longer supported as well. After having some issues with Hawgtouch and the last few updates, I wanted to try Helios. I just want to use my MFCD's on my second monitor, and display the CDU and some gauges. Is there any other software for this? I hope this in the right place, mods please move if it's not.

Is HawgTouch still working? I had to reinstall DCS World, and there was an update for A10 since the last time I played. There is nothing in my config/export folder now. I am having the same issue as Cybermann. I tried copying my old DCS World files for the config/export folder and it says the export is outdated, and none of the gauges work. Edit: Found this thread which was helpful: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=102034&highlight=tars+helios After adding a "Scripts" directory in my save game folder, all of the gauges appear to work. In HawgTouch 1.6 if I click anywhere that isn't an assigned button, it says there is an error but I can continue. 1.5 seemed to work fine. Now I need to update all my keys so my buttons work...

I have 1.2.0.3205 right now, so I understand I need to uninstall to do this upgrade. I recently got all my keys set up for HawgTouch and some changes to my WH HOTAS, is there any way to back these keys up so I don't lose them?

I can't figure it out. My MFCD's work fine with modifiers. My rotary switch works great with one key, but I haven't found a single modifier that works with it. I added commands to the test/showcase profile rotary, and get the same results.

Update: I've tried using existing KeyCommands in the Rotary Switch options, that I know work. So far nothing with a modifier works. I've tried 1.5 and 1.6.

We've all used it on a regular basis since HL2 came out, so that's about 8 years now. Although you seem pretty set on not listening to what anyone else has to say. Not all software works wonders for everyone, but Steam has proven to be a solid means of digitally distributing games. If you don't like it, you don't even have to use it with DCS A10 as others have pointed out.

Still nothing. I tried "g" for one of them and the gear worked, so I must have done something wrong with the commands. It seems like anything with a modifier won't work. I've tried RCONTROL, RALT, LSHIFT - no luck. If I remove a modifer, it seems to work. Sorry, but what do you mean by "If you have the graphics for it?" I guess you mean the graphics for the switch, and for now I just used the one from the showcase. I put it over top of the MFCD's, and it moves like it should. However whatever I put in the <Keycommand> line does not work. Any thoughts? It shows up and rotates fine, but it doesn't actually execute the command. I've tried changing the command to make sure it wasn't a modifier that didn't work, but even if I put <Keycommand>R</KeyCommand> it won't do anything. Any thoughts? Thanks for all your help.

I realize other people may have problems, but Steam is one of the best things that has happened to PC gaming in my opinion. I've never had a single issue since launch. And come to think of it, not one person I know that uses Steam has ever had a problem. I've also been able to buy games for sometimes as cheap as $2 or $3. I'd hardly call it a broken mess, even if you don't like it.

Is there a way to use the MFCD day/night/off switch? I don't understand how to make a button in the XML file that could do three types of functions. Thanks.

Weird, I was going to reply and say "that's what I did", but I wanted to test something first. Last time I had the problem where the gauges didn't work on the second monitor, so I tried putting one on the main screen. I checked and made sure Export.lua was the one you provided. Booted up, and not only did the main screen control panel work, but so were all my gauges on the second monitor. Loaded my original (MFCD's and gauges on second monitor), and everything worked fine. I swear it didn't work yesterday, but I have no idea what I could have changed. Either way, everything works except my key bindings (I just reinstalled DCS World and A10 so I'm back to default), but hopefully once I set everything again it will all work.

I'm getting the same problem as a few posts prior: Data Export says DCS A10 is not found, and when I click enable it says "could not find a part of the path '\Config\Export\Export.back'. I have downloaded DCS World directly, not through Steam, and installed the A10 module. Is there something I'm missing?

I recently had to reinstall Windows 7, so I took the opportunity to upgrade to DCS World as well. I moved my original monitor file to DCS World, and now my main picture is incorrect. I'm pretty certain I have set up everything correctly (Resolution 3180x1200 is my old resolution, not full screen, extended desktop in Win7). My main view is set to x=0, y=0 however now a sliver of my desktop shows on the far left of my monitor. It's as if 0,0 is appearing at about 10,10. I tried some of the other multi monitor files from the options menu, and it seems that they all give me the same problem. Of course in full screen mode, it's fine. Any thoughts? I searched but couldn't seem to find anyone with this same problem. I hope I'm not missing something obvious. EDIT Why must I always realize my mistakes immediately after posting? I thought that my main display was 1900x1200 when it's 1920x1200. Adjusted my main resolution and sure enough, everything works fine. Wish I didn't have to hide that pesky task bar, but not a big deal.

I'll try again, but I'm 99% sure I got that. Shouldn't it still tell me that I failed though, even if I did miss something? I get nothing at all after being told to shut down.

Just tried BFT04, and it's the second mission where nothing happens after I shut down the aircraft. I'm told to park next to the tanker, two minutes to shutdown. After everything is off, nothing ever happens. Any ideas?

Eddie, What would be the closet method in single player? I don't really know what I should be doing while my wingman is landing. Thanks for your input.

Can someone tell me what would be the normal procedure for landing with a wingman? In the game, if I try to land without instructing my wingman I get the endless "rejoin" message, so I usually tell my wingman to RTB first. Would pilots normally land together? I feel like formation landing could be pretty unsafe, depending on the conditions at least. If not, what is the normal pattern/approach that I should take when my wingman lands? I was hoping some real pilots could chime in :) Thanks everyone.

Well I managed to connect for the first time, and took maybe 300 pounds of fuel before disconnecting. Might need to take a little break and do something easier for the rest of the night!
