  1. I had a bug when JTAC confirms your readbacks instead of a voice+text the screen displays some codes i.e. string value etc.
  2. just one point regarding JTAC; in campaign missions there are generally two JTACs and one Predator (in Georgian Hammer example) and if your mission is to escort M1 and M2s to specific locations, you have to talk with specific JTACs at specific times. For example: Im sure that you know sending SEADs and CAPS in campaign. But what is essential is to use the remaining CAS (again using Georgian Hammer example) and the JTACs First of all you have to contact the correct JTAC which is closest to the checkpoints. after you completed your attacks (and so does your wingman) you call the remaining CAS and give the move order to the tank only. After couple of minutes you order the bradleys to move out then you contact the predator and/or the same JTAC. If all is OK, you can check the other JTAC for avaiable targets since there might be some reinforcements coming if you are late. Im sure that you are familiar with all these stuff but I just wanted to point them again. I liked the Georgian Hammer campaign. A bit repatetive on the missions but it was fun and you can always check your mission status by pressing " key. If its 100 then its completed. Generally the airfields you have to land after completing the mission are no more than 40nm in distance and the landing procedure takes approximately 15 mins. Spending 30-45 mins on a mission and generally a campaing mission takes approx 1 hour. Like you, Im against quitting before landing. But the thing I do not like about the campaign is that it has 2 different missions. Taking out a bridge or static, killing tanks, BMP or arty (&75 of the time). What I would like to see is specific covert ops missions like the HIDEOUT single mission or CSARS or defending a base. we need more variety of missions in campaign.
  3. well JTAC gives me something like GH129005 but pilot says WQxxxxxx or WWxxxxxx are they the same? because when you readback JTACs instructions you already readback the MGRS coordinate but on contact acqusition you read something totally different. my question is where does the pilot acquire that info when pinpointing the tank and report that contact because I want to apply the same technique on Multiplayer radio talks.
  4. I have a question; when we have acquired the target JTAC assigned and press "Contact" the pilot says something similiar to; Contact Tanks , WQxxxxxx I wonder where he gets the digit & numbers. it doesnt look like an UTM coordinate or standard L/L or bullseye then what is it and how does pilot derive that info?
  5. this is a nice documentary involving sa-6 vs f-16
  6. yea true. on the other hand as far as I know, amraams are a fortune compared to mk82s or mavericks.
  7. Click on advance settings and set all the assets to minimum since even setting them to medium creates lots of units. then click on edit mission if you want to change waypoints or put JTAC to a safe position always do runway start. you can also change starting time etc. then fly. its not too much fun but better than nothing.
  8. well according to my silent hunter III :) experience, you have to hit the ship via force correlate and aim on waterline amidst ship not the deck or superstructure. If modelled correctly it may sink with few G/K mav shots but rarely.
  9. yea I have those :) check this out: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=78592 but they are still not very comfortable
  10. are they being sold in ebay?
  11. Do they re-arm the gun? Never noticed. but you can reset the gun rounds from IIFCC
  12. and they stir it with nomex flight gloves in real life. must be very hard. I have one of those gloves and I think using gloves during flight is somewhat stupid since the switches are very very small in real aircraft, especially for big handed guys.
  13. Before making comments, please save your config and load default config and try it again, if it works.
  14. maybe we should kill the JTAC instead
  15. Jammer is even more essential than aim9m
  16. according to my general experience with this situation; it works when you enter a "0" after the third digit. yesterday JTAC gave me a coordinate having 4 digits, now thats rare.
  17. When you study, learn and achieve, DCS-A10C gives you the real feeling of a succession our manhood needs :)
  18. you can either use the first three information JTAC gives you lines (1,2 and 3) (i.e.: ADDLER 334/20) and enter these data to your offset page on the cdu as a new waypoint. or generally if it gies you 5 digits, put a 0 after the third digit or the last digit while entering the coordinates. or use your tad and hook the red triangle , the data markpoint JTAC sent you and set it as your waypoint. this is still a bug and please do not necro threads :)
  19. did you enable all the SAS switches before engaging EAC?
  20. because they have manpads,AAA and SAs around :)
  21. Welcome to the forums. First of all I will try my best to answer your questions but most of them are discussed several times in forums and also avaiable in FAQ section since these two problems are very frequently observed for starters. 1- You have to wait for your aignment on your CDU screen to finish. (ie 4.0 and 0.8 and ALIGN RDY flashes), then you press NAV on CDU screen. Most probably you do this but you forget this step as indicated in FAQ: Ensure that you have selected EGI on the Navigation Mode panel below the HSI. This selects the CDU as the navigation data source. From version 1.1.0.8 the plane defaults to using HARS on ramp start. See page 117 in the Flight Manual for details. Then you can enable EAC. 2- You have to disengage nosewheel steering (NWS) when your A/C reaches 60-70 knots during takeoff roll. Otherwise your front wheel might pop. Check your keyboard layout for the key that enables/disables your NWS. Do not yank the stick backwards during rotation and do not pass 10 degree pitch otherwise you might have a tail whack. and always use search in forum :)
  22. I never rearmed in SP campaign missions but they are completed in %100 anyway. I mean since its war you only have to focus your objective. Killing another tank column provided by a far JTAC unrelated to your mission goals is not necessary and unrealistic I think. You are not the only A-10 flying. Just do your job and get back home. :)
  23. Using maverick just makes your work too easy I think. If you take 6 mavs to every mission, it will get repeatative and easy :) I think mavs are expensive too :)
  24. and never shoot more than one tank with force correlate since they tend to move out once their buddies got destroyed by your first maverick.
  25. now your next lesson is to shoot mavericks in force correlate mode :)
