  1. I"m just as green with this thing as you are. Mounting it on a firmer, less movable surface makes all the difference. Even having it on my mousepad which is thin as hell has an effect. Small, but it's still there.
  2. Jesus, just build a real a-10! Sometimes I forget that this is a forum about flight sims and not actual aircraft building lol.
  3. If you're talking about the silver wheel on the left throttle, then I haven't had any problems with it. Then again I haven't used it that much over the course of the week I've owned it. I freaking love it though, and have no problems whatsoever executing high G turns or precision maneuvers. I also have no problems with the plug, even though it is rudimentary, but it isn't likely to break off inside the port so that's always good. Right now I give it a solid 9/10.
  4. Man if only I lived in Australia...
  5. I got it off of eBay (new). I did a lot of research, and the only better ones I can think of are the CH which I don't really like (not enough buttons) and the TM Warthog, which is too expensive and not versatile across sims in my opinion, although of top-notch quality. The buttons all work fine on the x65 and I love it and have only had good experiences with it except for that scare with the centering (because I know I'm f$cked if it messes up). I've heard good and bad, but seeing as I got it for $170 new, I don't give a damn. Oh and do you mind pointing me to that new driver update
  6. I've had it for about a week, and literally an hour after using it and it working fine, the green crosshair in the config menu is about 2/3 of the way up and 3/4 of the way left on the "target" diagram. That is, quite obviously unsuitable for flying unless you like to dig holes. Okay I unplugged the stick from the throttle and reconnected... works fine now. I'll keep an eye on this thing and see what happens.
  7. One 7.62x39mm 154 grain round: 2,056.3 J of energy One 8 pound bird traveling at roughly 350 knots: 5,8821.8 J of energy (That's if the bird was still. Add/subtract 20-40 knots depending on direction) I'd take the bullet.
  8. You've been here since march 2010, so if you haven't heard about the F-15C in all of the LockOn games, then you must've been under a pretty large rock. Anyway I think the f-22 would be sick. Not simply because "Ooh wow dude the F22 is like UBER AWESOME" but because I would thoroughly enjoy a sim putting you in the cockpit of the best fighter in the world. I also really want to fly the PAK FA, but we'll have to wait on that one.
  9. Christ, with the effort you guys put into your pits, why not just build a real one? Yeah my pit consists of a crappy wooden desk with a bigass computer tower on the left, a 24 inch monitor right in front of me, and an old 21 to the right of that. Then my joystick on the desk just kinda sitting there. I win Bow down to my epic sh*tpit
  10. Well, there's a good way to discourage shooting your planes down.
  11. My advice: "Do not hit CTRL+ and then E twice while inverted and below 5000 feet."
