Can we have it like in that F-16 simulator from 1998, that you just set the throttle where you want, click a button and you have set your AB gate? It's much much simpler and cleaner than playing with curves.

Can you allow the ground crew to connect external power while refueling / rearming? Doesn't make much sense that a ground crew of 3-4 people can't connect a plug while the other men are refueling you...

I'd like to know where you got this idea from... controlling AoA with the stick and descent rate with the throttle is exactly what they teach in any flight school and is the landing technique in just about every aircraft ;) The spool time has nothing to do with this, but as others have said, it's simply how long it takes to go from X% rpm to Y% rpm. That's what seems off in the current implementation.

I was about to post the same, throttle response seems a bit slow to me, and I find myself pushing the thottles to MIL a bit too much on downwind and especially during the base turn. P.S. F-110 Ge100 (it's the F-16 engine) takes ~3 seconds from idle to full A/B, so 5 seconds is a long time, but I don't know if it's realistic for a GE404. Just my 2 cents.

Very glad to see you're not releasing the MiG-19 until it's finished. Time to move away from this broken early-access-logic and go back to selling stuff when it's done. That F-15E will be a total blast!

Then I am pretty sure the bomb spacing we get now is incorrect. Instead of 500ft, there are probably 100 feet between each bomb..

bomb interval supposing I am dropping 4 bombs with an interval of 500ft, is the 500ft the space between each bomb (a total of 2000ft) or is it the space between the first and last bomb?

DCS crashes the first time of every single time I join a server. after the loading screen, I get to the server menu (where you choose the slot), it gets stuck there for a while, then black screen. I have to ctrl-alt-del and restart, then and only then, I can maybe join the server. The total time to join a server is about 10-15 minutes (including the crash, restart etc.).

I was about to ask something similar. Right now, it doesn't seem the effect is dependent on humidity. Also it seems the effect is only triggered by AoA when it falls within a certain range (e.g. from 16 to 40 degrees), it's also not connected to g-force, which seems a bit strange. My question is also regarding high-g wing vapour, I saw it mentioned in the features, but there is no such effect so far. Probably will come later on. WIngtip vortices are also not working, but I think this is an OB issue that's already been reported.

Hello, I noticed that when I am hard-locked by someone, there's no visual indication on the RWR or EW page (no diamond or else, just the plain number symbols). So there's no way to know who's locking you up.

I see your point, but if it was just related to the antenna moving up and down, this wouldn't happen in boresight mode (forgot what it's called in the F-18). But it happens even when the radar is pointing straight ahead. It just takes a very long time to lock, and sometimes doesn't lock at all. I have a feeling the real one performs a little better than this, but I'm happy to see I'm not the only with such difficulties. OT/ I'm sure they will sort it out and we will finally have a properly simulated radar in DCS, something I've been waiting for years and years. I also hope they will somehow make the FC3 radars a little less of an all-seeing laser beam :) /OT

Hi guys, I'm having a really hard time trying to spot, lock and shoot down targets in the F-18 right now. I confess I haven't dug deeply into the natops, but given the basic AA radar functions we have now, I think it's pretty straightforward and I should be able to fight much better than this. The main issue is, it seems, the radar is just losing targets and losing lock very easily. For example, I have 2 F-15's flying a constant heading/speed/altitude in front of me, I see the two blips on the scope, then after another scan, the targets disappear and the radar doesn't "see" them anymore. Yet, they are still exactly where they were before. If I manage to lock one up, a slight bank on my side makes me loose the lock. Another example is a dogfight: I am close in behind a MiG-15, have the radar in vertical acquisition mode, the MiG-15 right in the middle of the hud, yet my radar has an incredibly hard time getting a lock, something on the F-15 I would have instantly... Same with the other ACM modes. I don't know, is it just me, the F-18 has a crappy radar, or is the radar heavily WIP and I should just keep away from AA for a while?? Thanks

According to the many videos on youtube, this check is done with engines at MIL (or even A/B), just before launch.

Right now, the cat shot starts shortly after you hit MIL power. This is not really nice IMO, since you don't have time to do things realistically: - Check controls (ailerons, rudders etc.) - give the salute signal to the yellow shirt on the deck - grab the "virtual" towel hanger in the cockpit :P It would be much better if there was a simple key bind to say that you are "ready to launch" and then after a second you takeoff. I hope this can be implemented instead of the current system.

Try to turn off the pitch SAS channel, pull and release the stick a little: the nose oscillates up and down very quickly, like a spring. This seems unnatural, not so much because of the movement, but because of the frequency (speed) of the "bouncing". Wondering if this highlights some FM issues / inaccuracies..

Same, it also has an "extra" dark layer that appears when you are aiming at something in close range, which makes the screen almost completely dark and impossible to use. It looks like the camera is looking thorugh some of the 3D model geometry -
My all-time favourite airplane! Great. I hope they model both Block 50 and 52, a block 30 would be a bit disappointing while a block 40 would be ok if they make the terrain following pod. I hope ED realizes that after years of Falcon 4, and all the information and talk about the F-16, this one will be under a particularly bright spotlight and people will be very anal about it.

So there's no need to "update" right? Can I still join MP servers that are hosted on "stable" from the beta version?
