I mean from what I gather if we based your oppinion of a supposed inferior F14 to real life it should never have accomplished the feats it did and was never intended to accomplish. IMO it is one of the Navy's most lethal fighters and it sadens me to see it go. You need to do some research man that jet was second to none in its role ... believe that.:icon_wink

Well I flew SF project 1 and it was bad i mean baaaaaaaaad. But if you read the article i dont know, it has been heavily modded by enthusiast that have done a complete 180 with the gameplay. At the time the flight models were accurate but that was about it. The rest is explained in the article way better than i could ever explain but for $10 its worth it considering the mods are free, well a vast majority from what i gather. Well worth it gentlemen IMHO. True LOMAC is a bonfire right now but who gives you a sim that lets you take its code and mod it and on top of that the community that plays it has already done 99% of the work that you want done to it the other 1% is being worked on its a diamond in the ruff and only a matter of time before IMO , it surpasses LOMAC. Ive seen the graphics in this game and they are good. Not lomac good but they are way better than F4. Im going to buy it and give it another try. I think the best thing about it is if your favorite jet is not represented in this game (and i would find it hard to believe) trust me someone is working on it or you can just get the code that has been released and make your own add on its just that simple. The actual developer TK made this game so that people would mod his game. I think this is revoulutionary just thought i would share it with the community since i know a lot of us arent happy with the same flyable aircraft. TEX out

You know there are some of us who would love to see our favorite aircraft modeled in a flight sim. Well lets look at that statement that could mean one thing in particular. You think that having the F16 in this game is a good idea because you have the data to accurately model it and its weapon systems .... i get your point plus the fact that it is so widely used by several different countries it IS the obvious choice for a NATO fighter no dispute there but here is the kicker IF we only model aircraft that we only have sufficient data for exactly what BOX am I thinking inside of when the BOX represents boundaries that limit our choices(i.e. TAC DATA) as a community in this case. If anyone decides to think past these TACTICAL DATA boundaries to make a flight sim that I mentioned you will be flying your F16 against a world of AI in single player mode because I will be flying my Tomcat :cool: cheers :icon_jook I hope you have a lot of friends Tiny Tim

Dude the only reason i bought Lomac or Flanker was because if you take the time to look on the shelves in any store that you buy PC games NONE and I mean NONE feature these eastern bloc aircraft as flyables ... thats called SOMETHING NEW. And the games were IMO smash hits NOW they have a fan base or community of people who expect a solid flight sim that will take them in a direction that no one else has ever gone before continueing with their NEW idea of thinking outside the box of our already over simulated counterparts. Thats why people are asking for these NEW aircraft to be modeled not because they are ungrateful but because they want to fly something different. If they wanted another F16 they can either fly it in F4 or they can wait till fighter ops comes out. Hell they could find any flightsim on the shelf and fly it ...... case and point. Thats the reason Lomac or Flanker for that matter IS a NEW THING. If you put the F16 in this sim your just re-wrapping old christmas gifts and handing them out at christmas time ... merry christmas tiny tim. :D TEX OUT

I think most know my position on ANOTHER flight sim with a F-16 in it I wont tell you how thrilled I am because im just busting out of my boots over here in Texas. But I will say this before anyone else does and you can take this to the bank. The very first company to endeavour as to go so far and model the F14A/B/D as a flyable with graphics of this caliber in LO and a dynamic campaign and a vision to model other flyables such as the mirage, harrier, and aircraft like the british tornado will completely revoulutionize the flight sim community with or without your STINKING TAC DATA. Now you can bash me all you want and the way things are going I may never live to see the day that it happens but when it does someone will dig this old forum up and quote my words once again and when they do please dont be suprised. Because the thing we all really want here is something NEW .... no matter how we get it. The thing some people forget is that none of us have ever set foot in any of these aircraft except real life combat pilots and gee that just might be where some young endeavouring , think outside the box type, American company may decide to make it happen. Because nobody ever revoulutionized the world or accomplished anything that changed our world by giving excuses why they couldnt do it ........ THEY JUST DID IT. TEX OUT

considering that JaBog was generous enough to donate their server for this event that question could only be answered by them or some other generous soul who might be dedicated to the community. I think this will continue to be a planned event in the future to answer your question but probably annually considering the dedication behind it and plus people have to take time out of their busy lives to show up for the event. But my vote is that next year around this time we should be able to host another VFAT. oh please please please :D

Time:0200 GMT Nov 11 2005 I will meet with you in hyper lobby at this time and I will give you the TS IP that I will be on. This is a 16 player mission but we do not have to have all 16 to play but the more the merrier. Please read the brief before we start it is important to mission succes. If I have a decent turnout ... i.e. one person other than myself we will have the second mission on the 12th Nov. 2005. at the same time. The first mission is both Air 2 Air and Air 2 Mud and there will be plenty of targets in the first mission for both roles. I recommend that AA aircraft allow the strike aircraft to sead the area before takeoff. Teamwork is a must to finish this mission alive. Please post in this thread if you plan to participate. tex out

Well guys Im not the best mission maker but I do have some skill I suppose. Im asking all who are interested to please participate. Im working on a veterans day mission that will have at least 16 pilots gainfully employed. Im at work right now so details will be given later tonight. But this event will be on Veterans day and the day after I havent decided just yet. So Nov. 11 and 12 it will be lots of fun I think and at the same time we will help celebrate veterans day. Now this includes all countries not just the U.S. and please disregard any remarks in the breifing about any of the countries this is purely for fun and I do not have any ill intent toward the countries that are listed as the bad guys its just the fact that i had to pick at least two countries for this to be fun. Like i said I will give more details later tonight or in the morning wherever you might be and ill try to pick a time so that everyone can fly and enjoy. Im always open to suggestions about time but pretty fixed on the type of aircraft considering the first mission is mainly Air to Air and the second is going to be a strike with air cover. It couldnt be 30km All 4 of these sources report that the R-77 is capable of ranges beyond 50km at the very least and I know for certain you dont get LA until your well within 30km so what did i miss?

Just checkin in Ive read the info for the date and time thank you for allowing me to perform I assure this will be a memorable event I cant wait.
