Is possible to mod Advanced Haze for Basic Haze without fps drop in LOFC ? If it's possible, does anyone know how to do and which files/ folders related to Advanced sky ? And the same question for Full shadow: is possible to mod Full shadows for Shadow = None or All planar ?

Cosmonaut, I also run with Shadows = full, AA 4X and AF 2X. But which VGA is better between Nv 7600GT and ATI X800XTPE ? Some people say Nvidia is better for both Lockon MAC and LOFC but the others say ATI Radeon is better ?????? And finally 7600GT version has no AGP interface, PCI-Ex only @Cali: me too, I prefer ATI Radeon to Nvidia GeForce. ATI 9550 really give me better image quality than my past GFX 5200

Walmis, which is the right effect of your model's canopy ? In game, without Alt-Tab out: And Alt-Tab out, then back to the game, lost all effects: Easy to see at night time, all images at the second line:

I'm owning a computer with features: _ P4C Northwood - 2.6Ghz/HT (sometimes @ 3.25Ghz/ SK 478) _ 1Gb of DDR400 RAM in dual channel _ MSI 865PE mobo _ Asus ATI 9550GE 128MB DDR (Clocked to 9600XT) - AGP I always achieve 19-28fps (sometimes 43fps inside cockpit without clouds) at medium-high settings, now I've $100 to buy new CPU or VGA. What should I upgrade first: _ CPU: P4E Prescott 3.0Ghz w/ 1Mb cache/ SK 478 OR _ VGA: replace ATI 9550 with an ATI X800Pro 256MB DDR3 or Nv 7600GS 256Mb DDR2/ AGP interface What'll give me better fps ? I know LO needs a strong CPU but I wonder should I upgrade P4E-3.0 over P4C-2.6 or not or ATI X800Pro 256Mb will give me better performance ? And if VGA is the best choice, which VGA should I get (AGP only): ATI X800/ X1600 or Nvidia 7300GT/ 7600GS AGP for better performance, high quality image ? Does anyone have any ideas about it ? I don't have enough money to get a brandnew high-end system Thanks in advance !

Check it here, this's the Walmis F-15C model beta 2 on my computer with full features, you won't see F-15 pilot with white face (without skin) Looks very nice! -

After install Walmis'[s F-15C model beta 2, you should check Lock On folder, then you'll see 2 new files: f15_uninstaller.exe and f15_update.exe (I'm not sure aout the name of files :D), the Walmis's mod has no uninstaller in Windows Add/Remove Program but you can uninstall it by clicking on f15_uninstaller.exe as well as you can uninstall by re-starting Walmis F-15C Model Beta 2.exe, when you start Walmis mod, it'll show you a button: Remove (or unsintall), click it to remove installed Walmis's model After unsinstall, you can now reinstall it without any troubles -

I see and know how to fix it, I've ever had this problem before Do you use Modman 5 ? First, you must uninstall Walmis's F-15C model Then, open Modman 5's graphics settings page, uncheck "Apply all settings when launch LO...." box at the bottom of the page, if you check it, it'll remove some added lines in Graphics.cfg (when you install Walmis's F-15C model, it'll update the graphics.cfg with two new lines has been added) when you start LO or start Modelviewer Uncheck that box and then re-install Walmis model, it's OK ! (because if you uncheck that box, graphics.cfg will be updated with: _common:".//Bazar//World//Shapes/f15_newtextures.cdds (and f15_maintextures.cdds)...... Hope you understand ! -

walmis, you should also check the refuelling door on your model, I think it's not correct

I've used my mod :D, all nwater_bumpxx.tga files: 13Kb with size of 64x64 (Dscythe's files are 17Kb, 64x64) as well as don't see border lines n the water :D :D

yeah, i've installed manually (unzipped D-scythe's water mod, backup default Waternormals folder then replace all files in it with Dscythe's mod), it finally works well. @all: now I knew how to fix the border lines, it might be depend on the VisibleRange option. Dscythe's just replace all default nwater_bumpxx.tga in 256x256 with new ones with size of 64x64 He didn't touch the SKY.bmp, so that's the reason why the sea surface looks very ugly when you fly over the sea at low alt...and you also see border lines I'll upload a new mod which fixed border lines to Lofiles some days later

You prefer blue canopy to clear canopy of Walmis's model ? If as you said, I think you like the FA-18A/C's canopy in LOFC without no scratches mod, it's a blue canopy You should check Lockonfiles 2 days later, I'll upload a mod of F-18 canopy's blue effect for the Walmis's F-15 :thumbup:

It's also posted on Lockonfiles I’ve got Enhanced FPS Over Water Mod but it doesn’t work recently which I’ve never had before. I also downloaded it again but everything is unchanged. The water mod will replace each default file in WaterNormals folder in 256KB with a new one in 16KB. I’ve installed 25-20 times but it was inoperative, check WaterNormal folder after installed the mod, all files still were 256KB per each. I’ve ever had an odd business : Modman works well but all mods can’t be installed, I’ve tried to install many time (chose Mod, click INSTALL) but nothing’s happened. But it’s the past Up to now, water mod’s also the unique mod which doesn’t work, all other mods work well.

Have you ever used Kovy’s “Fast canopy with no scratches” mod ? The Kovy’s mod works very well, it helps you get better fps in F1 view mode but the weak point of Kovy’s mod is: it disabled all worthful effects on the outside of the canopy on all planes, especially on 3 high-detailed models: SU-25T, FA-18A/C and Walmis’s F-15C model....those planes have the same feature: their canopy looks very nice from the outside under sunshines but with Kovy’s mod which disabled all canopy’s effects so the Walmis’s F-15’s canopy if you look in F2 view from outside the plane, it looks transparent, a transparent canopy (Su-25T and F-18 are better), I really don’t like that. So I made a new canopy mod named “Canopy without scratches v2.0” based on Kovy’s mod but it’ll give you better effects: My mod just remove all scratches inside the canopy in F1 view (like Kovys) but....all impacts on the outside canopy’s effects are nothing. All effects are still preserved I think my mod’s very useful for all those who use Walmis’s F-15 model but they dont want to lose canopy effects because they look very nice under sunshines, all inside scratches are removed. It also help you to maintain all outside canopy effects on all forthcoming aircraft models such as Gys F-14D Tomcat, Strikemax’s new Su-27 model, etc.... Although I don’t know who Kovy is but I wanna give him a thanks for his mod Here’s my first mod: it has some bright curve lines inside the canopy, I don’t know what they’re but they might be the result of the sunshines reflection on the outside. Bright curves move around the canopy in just F1 view mode (depend on sunlight direction), daytime only, they don’t appear in night-time. They really don’t affect much to the sight in LO. And on my second canopy mod: I removed all bright curves, in F1 view now it looks the same Kovy’s mod but....all outside effects are preserved. It'll be uploaded to Lockonfiles

CDDS Generator & CDDS Studio questions ?

correct, I've added skins by editing Meinit and then with 7 different skins,only two are used, 5 remaining skins have no effect or as you said just a model without skin (no skin, no fuselage, just a cockpit, gears and stars at wings or fins) -
I’ve compared between 2 F-15 models: Walmis’s mod and LO’s F-15. Walmis’s mod looks better (of course :D ) but the refuelling door on his model is not correct: it has no refuelling orifice as on the default model and the lid should be widened. On the real F-15E: On the default F-15C model: On Walmis’s mod:

Lockon sometimes makes itself a visual bug of planes exhaust (does it relate to hardware errors ??? ). It’s an unpredicted bug that sometimes, in some cases appear when you was playing for a long time and then you escape to Windows, do sumthings and then back to the game. I’ve had this many times until now. In the below picture, you can see a strange effect of the exhaust, it seems to have reflection, looks like a mirror. This bug’ll disappear only if you restart LO or escape to Windows and then return to the game Does anyone have any idea about this ?

CDDS Generator & CDDS Studio questions ?

I’ve got ED’s CDDS generator utility, but I can’t make new skin packs in CDDS format (,BMP, 1024x1024 px) with this utility I’ve made a new SU-34 flyable mod for the Su-33. My problem is: The default SU-34 has 2 skins only (AF standard & AF standard 1) but I’ve 7 different skins for him, I don’t know how to add them. I used CDDS generator to make new 5 various CDDS values more (each value is unique) and then add them to MEinit.xml but 5/7 new skins which I add more don’t work except 2 default skins. I found the second way: Use CDDS Studio! I followed the instruction: _Opened CDDS Studio, then added 7 hi-res skins in .BMP format to CDDS Studio by selected Edit, chose Add Files. Next, saved all skins in a name, chose it and select Edit --> Build CDDS, then saved a new name but....it didn’t work, I had 2 texts named Error and TextoDDS Why didn’t it work ? Can anyone give me an explanation about this prob ? My Su-34 skins were in 1024x1024 pixels, just 2 first skins worked only

Fictional WF-33 Model with 7 New Skins

Thank you for introducing Kys1257's new WF-33 model mod v1.3 but I have a little trouble with his model: The Kys1257's WF-33 v1.3 is a high-detailed fictional aircraft model and I don't understand what makes fps drop: high-detailed model or its high-resolution skins. The WF-33 drops fps by 50% Eg: with Su-33, Su-27 or F-15 model in loadout screen I've 85fps (ATI 9550, Vsync On, Monitor res= 1024x768/ 85Hz) and in-game my comp achieves 29-45fps but with the WF-33 or ED's Su-25T model I always achieve 35-47fps in loadout screen and 17-23fps in game @Tekateka: your "No Pop-up Trees" mod works very well, I hope you can make a new mod: "No pop-up buildings & Objects", it'd be great for everyone with Scenes = Medium or High in cities or large areas with lots of buildings and objects. Thank in advance ! -
