How can you assign the keys to MFD cougar for example? not keyboard? what is the "callbacks" command for those? Sorry for the ignorance....
-
Hi, I'm trying LEAVU now and it seems promising, though I can't seem to save the MFD's role. every time I load it, it remembers the position of the windows but not their role (RWR FCR SMS...) I have to manually adjust before every flight... I'm not using a touch screen or using the borders, so I have to bind Keys and play on the keyboard for it to adjust... I cant find how to load SMS for example... very confusing... is there a way you could save the role of the MFD and not only the position?? Maybe a hotkey to disable/enable borders in flight?? Thanks!

I have a second monitor. On the second monitor are the other exports defined as viewports in my monitor config file, and the total resolution of DCS includes the other monitor ofcourse - to enable the viewport there. so the LEAVU is always in the background behind the exports on the second monitor. How can I force it to be always on top? Thus i will see the exports I already have, and the LEAVU displays as well?? Can LEAVU coexist with other exports on the same monitor? Thanks!

Thanks for the reference, didn't know about it at all... I've tried this (was not a very straight forward installation...) and did see the MFD with ADI and moved them around (read the manual). But when DCS loaded - the displays were in the background (behind DCS) and I had to alt tab to see them. Also couldn't find the keys to change pages in the MFD (don't have touch screen if it supports that). How do you overcome those? Manual didn't state alt tabbing and which keybindings to operate. Seems a bit over done and complicated with all the changes made there, feels kind of cheating I'd say... installation also - not for the feint of heart... I amlooking for a simple RWR and SMS/Weapons page export (the RWR sound enhancement in Leavu was nice though!) but I'd use it if I could make it work fine, until we find a better solution. So the 'challenge' is still on :)

Hi, I saw there is an un-maintained export mod/app for the F15 in the forums that can export the F15 RWR to Android devices by Leon Portman: DCS forum link: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=100057 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.portman.tews Github: https://github.com/leonpo/instrument-panel Another guy who used Leon Portman's code: https://github.com/mach327/DCS-RWR-racket I was looking if there was export mod for the pc, but found none. I was wondering if any talented dev here could use this code (withe the dev's permission of course) to enable exporting to the PC, like the TAD for DCS is, which can export to Android and PC alike (Client-Server): http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1277731/ Github: https://github.com/eozkucur/dcstad I've tried to emulate an Android device on PC to try and make it work - but failed. On my phone it works, but I would rather have it run on my other monitor and not my phone... Many thanks for the challenge takers... Cheers  Ron

To set farther view distance inside the cockpit , try changing cameraviewanglelimit setting. It's in main dcs folder, under Config/View/Server. Lua. Default is 140. Set it to 160. There are more settings there according to aircrafts type. It worked for my F15. Then, when in game, adjust the default distance by saving a snapview default. (alt+numpad 0). You should have "more room" to go backwards with the head. For the other question, I'd love to hear an answer myself. Cheers... Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

In the A10 there are no problems. In the Huey, the 4th monitor turns all bright with NVG on, with this mod.
-
Just clearing up here, I've re-tested (with 2.04) and the issue I was talking about reproduces in the Huey. In the A-10 the MFD screens are ok (the 4th monitor). Tnx!

Hi, I've just tried to do that but it failed... must be something wrong I'm doing. Here is the section in monitor.lua file: KNEEBOARD = { x = 5370; y = 600; width = 300; height = 450; } anything else I should have changed together with the lua? Thanks

Radio menu in the centre monitor?
ron533 replied to Heli Shed's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Check this thread for 1.5 bugs, for the sake of separation of versions. http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=454 As I said before, I asked the same question there and it's a known issue in 1.5 and has been reported. I'm waiting for the fix as well..... Ron. -
Thank you for this!! One problem though, I have a 4th monitor for MFD extraction, And when I turn on NVG - the 4th screen turns white/very bright... How can it be constrained only to the main monitor?? Thanks!

Radio menu in the centre monitor?

@Luftwoller, if you're reffering to DCS 1.2, then I used Kuky's mod to solve MP menu, See link below: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=96698 And PeterP's mod to solve the Main UI by making it always start windowed and the resizing it to fit my main screen. see link below: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1447505&postcount=5 Better use JSGME for them. hope it helps. Cheers  P.S. in DCS 1.5 - it is already reported that the UI cannot be constrained yet. -
kneeboard re-position Just updating this thread in case anyone needs this. in order to relocate the kneeboard's position, you should go to: \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit find this file: ViewportHandling.lua and update the below line with the top left position of the kneeboard, i.e 5370,0 in my example below: dedicated_viewport = {5370,0,default_width,default_height} it can also be resized with the rest of the numbers there... enjoy:thumbup:

Thanks for the info! Didn't know about kneeboard viewport...

Hi, After much trial and error I've managed to get the F15 MFD's export to my 4th' screen. 1. The F10 map is indeed not spread all over the 4 monitors as before which is great! But the kneeboard is presented on the 4th' most right small screen now, and is partially cut since that screen is smaller than the main screens. Any solution for that? 2. How do I get the GUI to be presented only in my center screen and not spread all over the 3 main screens, and only in the 3D world to get the full spread out view? My screens layout is 3x 1920x1200 horizontal, the last one for the mfd's is 1024x768 laid to the right and to top of the 3 screens (logically), to a total resolution of 7024x1200 (with bezel correction of 240 included). In game I select to total combined resolution of the screens (7024x1200) every other option get's everything distorted... :( Monitor Setup file in spoiler. Thanks!

I can see it's been discussed here several times, but don't understand why ED has to make our lives difficult with this?? We already paid for the full game, bought the upgrade, moved to a newer platform ED has made, but we have to do the stupid ritual time and time again... as if being "punished" by ED for buying the upgrade they have offered ... "Trying to save money here, huh...just wait...."... It's about time, with 1.5 finally, to move on and progress with that obsolete and harassing method, save the wasted time of tech support on that, save their clients time and frustration, and the feeling of being punished. There is clearly a technical way... (why not insert the original key and verify it, then insert the second serial of the upgrade, verify it and voila... BS2 is activated!) It's easly doable. but unfortunately it seems there is no will to support the users there, which is disappointing. Some users just prefer to pay the "ransom" and buy the module again just to stop with that. Fits "extortionware" type of behavior... :smilewink: Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of ED, love and support their work, and want them to offer the best experience for their customers, which in this case it's easy to achieve, and about time to make it right. Hopefully ED guys here will positively address it, and take it to the next (and final) level. Cheers  Ron

JSGME - Sweetfx/Reshade for DCS 1.5 Hi, Here is a JSGME ready file for you: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1502732/ settings are very mild, change as needed ofcourse  Cheers  Ron / S3TUP -
Thanks Hammer, so I'll stick to surround mod then... I thought you had to play in windowed mod if you export gauges, But now I saw I can play in full-screen mode just fine.... (was that in any change log ??) However I did not notics gain in fps compared to full-screen mod, like reported here before.

Hi, I've seen some old threads about this, but they seem to be obsolete due to all the latest patches and changes in DCS. I would like to understand what is the preferred setup to maximize performance? and/or better view characteristics like reducing fish-eye effect on? pro's an con's for either setup? I currently use Nvidia Surround on 3X24" monitors, and a 4th smaller 15" monitor for MFD's and gauges export. (6000X1200 with bezel correction, and 1024X768 on the 15", laid from side to side for a total resolution of 7024X1200) I get between 20-55 FPS, but had dropped some eye candy settings to hold it at that FPS and not lower. Also, since the 4th monitor size is not identical, part of the map is cropped. or the kneeboard in the F15 for example, which is annoying. Thanks for your input (and output :smilewink: ) Ron

Thanks, but it doesn't fit FC3 aircrafts yet. Since this is exported to a tablet, there must be a way to emulate it for pc as well. The author is not responding in the app store as well... I hope someone can tweak it for pc, or develop a simple utility for it...

Didn't see what I was looking for. Not helios profile, or ultramfcd which doesn't export the TEWS. I am looking for a simple export lua like the rest of dcs aircrafts, So if you know how, please link here. Thanks!
-
Repeating above question, Is there a way to export the TEWS to another monitor, not only to tablet?? Maybe also Russian RWR as well..?? Thanks!

Thank you ergn! Can you add "save window position" option, so we don't have to move and re-size every time we launch the sim? Also, if possible at all, to use some hot-key to change scale, since moving the mouse cursor out of focus on multi monitor causes issues with in game view. Thanks again!
