  1. Those poor bushes are so NOT useless man.... They give a sense of speed relative to the ground. Flying over a flat terrain with no features in a flight sim - gives no sense of speed. The more details you have - the better and realistic the sense of speed is. I hope there could be more terrain features and details implemented for that, balancing performance of course, since the sense of speed in DCS lacks , allot. just saying... Cheers :smilewink:
  2. Hi IronMike, I’ve stumbled upon this post while looking for some info on my newly purchased Tomcat, and it made me really smile and feel so satisfied to see a developer so dedicated and devoted to their community with such an elaborate and whole hearted explanations!! :) This is really the type of support and dedication I would expect and love to see, but it is hardly a surprise considering the amazing, in all aspects, Tomcat you’ve created.... I just feel bad for not buying it sooner now... it is by far in a league of its own! Thank you for this beloved module, your dedication and support! Cheers, Ron
  3. Too bad it's like that... :( It's great that you've at least made it for us, as a stop gap, but adding more and more modifications to the game, for features that should have been native from day one - just creates allot of headaches to maintain all of it, and increases the possible bugs and issues that could have been prevented otherwise... I hope they will listen to you in the next round. Thanks again! Ron
  4. I guess no reply is also some kind of a reply.
  5. Great mod! Thank you! Definitely should be native in game. Grimes, I see you are part of ED’s testers team, do you have any ‘say’ here?? ;)
  6. Thanks for your work! Do you happen to know how to increase visibility distance of the afterburner? since it disappears abruptly at a relatively very close distance. it needs to gradually fade away at longer distances than it is now... Cheers
  7. Hi, it is not directly explosions effects, but you can check this one here by "KUKY" and try to manipulate with it, maybe you'll find something: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=158404 It passes IC. I use it without the wingtip contrails. It is very helpful and WAY more realistic in burning time and different sizes and lengths of smoke, as currently implemented by ED (wish ED would change it as well). I highly recommend it for everyone until ED makes a much needed improvement here (and in some other areas as well... ;) ) I've added a temp link to a JSGME compatible mod of what I use for you to try if you wish. ALSO... try this recent direct explosions mod by "The taker": https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306951/ Enjoy  EDIT: I just now saw you already know about KUKY's mod ;) ...
  8. Drop the ALT+B pause Bump... Would appreciate any reply from ED's team, did you take note of it?... any reply would be nice... I know it's not high priority, but it shouldn't be difficult to implement. (small+easy fix) * (small+easy fix)... = MANY noticeable productive easy changes => happier customers/community :smilewink: Thank you ED!
  9. Thanks for your reply! And for your continued development and support
  10. Well done Ranger79!! I've enjoyed it very much! keep it up! (if life permits...) Salute! Ron
  11. Well... https://www.mudspike.com/mudspike-ama-with-eagle-dynamics-senior-producer-matt-wagner/ That was quick... ;)
  12. Hi BlueFinBima and many thanks for the Helios upgrades and support! I'm not very familiar with profile making but I tweak it allot to fit my monitors arrangements and use allot of copy pasting from other profiles to improve another. I find the GUI very 'un-friendly' for that. for example trying to move a layer up or down involves countless mouse clicking... can it be a drag and drop solution, or a numbering queue where I insert a number to the layer, and the layer positions itself according to the numbers hierarchy? Many thanks! EDIT: Also add a search function for the layers. Sorry if I sound like asking for too much... I do understand it's an old project continued by you, and maybe impossible to achieve easily. Thank you again for your continued upgrades and maintenance!
  13. +111.... MP clouds sync is a must for combat simming before any other weather issues are dealt with, imho. We have many flyables by now to keep us busy long enough, but we badly need a way more convincing updated environment to keep us flying there. I read the recent Nick Grey’s post which got me to buy the EA Viper, although I was about to sit and wait for core sim improvements first, and never to buy an EA module again. But I wanted to support the company I love. again and again. I’m flying ED’s or once SSI products since the original Flanker was out. I was 21 then. Flight simulators helped me get a pilot’s license then. And I’m 45 today... Nowadays, I was really hoping ED would notice by now that the current business plan might have ran its course. More and more EA modules flooding us (lasting in EA state for way too long) without taking fast care on the rest of the basic glaring issues we have for so many years - could not “blind” us much further. I say all that out of love to this hobby , this company and this simulator. I hope some priorities would change, at least just enough to give us more “Air”, while you go on improve and optimize the core and basics of this great sim, and make it the greatest! I apologize for the rant in the clouds wish list post, as it’s a more general wish, but clouds is a very good example... BR, Ron
  14. Looks great! Very talented!
  15. Well, it happened to me as well lately and I think it's because of the "wake turbulence" feature that was lately introduced to the Hornet. So watch it when you fly behind and around other planes, in formation and especially air refueling. Edit : it still worked afterwards though...
  16. Hi all, After some changes ED made, I've been unable for quite some time now to find how to control FOV settings for various aircraft (FC3 and DCS ones). I used Peter P files in the past but I think they are not fully updated and working. the max FOV I think I get is 120/140, but I need 170. I use 3 monitors with surround settings and I need a very wide FOV, other wise 60 degrees default FOV across 3 monitors means VERY CLOSE to the HUD... I couldn't find for example where to widen the FOV for the UH-1H, or the F-15C... Is there a clear updated post/guide that clarifies it? Many thanks! Ron
  17. Well, that is great to hear!!! (pun intended :smilewink:) Keep up the good work! Cheers Ron
  18. Hello guys, I know it might sound kind of an annoying request... but I believe it's an easy and reasonable wish/fix... I would ask from you to change that pressing ALT+B (briefing and maps window) would not pause the sim - as in multiplayer. It unnecessary pauses the sim in single player, while we already have a PAUSE button for that if we wish, and also can press the ESCAPE button, so why is the ALT+B does that same thing as well?? Rational: 1.(My real reason...) Sometimes while in long flights for example, I wish to read the briefing again or watch the maps/frequencies etc.) and it needlessly pauses my sim for that. It ruins immersion and just steals more time. as said before - there is a dedicated pause button or escape button that can pause the game. And should I choose to really pause and read - Today I can already press Pause, then press ALT+B for the briefing. 2. Stay as coherent as possible to Multiplayer ( I know I can't pause multiplayer anyway), where ALT+B does not pause it. ** Extra bonus wish:music_whistling: ..... be able to move the briefing window around ( I have 4 monitors and it's just stuck in the middle blocking my view when I have so much real estate to move it around... But only stopping it from pausing the game would be enough... Thank you very much! Ron
  19. Just checked the changes and it's much better now to not get deaf right away :megalol: and the CTRL+S as well!! Thank you and your team Kanstantsin! (I use the autoexec parameter increased to 16 to make it very slow fade in sound.world_fadein_time = 16) Cheers!! Ron
  20. Well...seems I can't read or hear well late at night when I fly ... Kobuleti it was!! :megalol: my bad !! Thank you Ranger79 and sorry for this!! ;) Now I'll get back to continue that awesome campaign!! maybe I'll start flying at daytime.... Cheers!
