  1. Taz, I may have mistaken randomness for different smoke duration/length...not really sure now... Vehicles exploding at different times created different smoke columns, probably that was the source of me thinking ‘randomness’... Anyway, I am glad to see you taking over this neglected and highly important area in DCS!:thumbup: (Vehicle dust too maybe?:smilewink:) [i think you Mustang and Barthek should be employed by ED!!]
  2. Looking great Taz!! Thank you for improving the realism side of the game along with the eye candy :) I use an old mod made by KUKY and later modified by Mustang, https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2161594/ and I like it has variable smoke heights and random burn times, so it looked more natural in this way. Maybe it can be added here as well? Cheers
  3. Thanks! I'm looking for maybe a mod that could display the real time instead of / or along with the mission time in the plane/map/fps counter. I rather not use another application if possible.
  4. Who is this guy all over the windows??
  5. Hi, Is there a utility to display real time clock (from the pc/real world) and not mission time, while I'm in VR? Thanks!
  6. idea @SZ, First - thank you for this great utility!! I would like to suggest adding an option (a checkbox maybe) for JSGME/OVGME users, that whenever it is checked by the user - it will serve to pop up a warning/reminder to disable all mods before using the update/repair/clean buttons... thus preventing unfortunate mishaps...:smilewink: Cheers, Ron
  7. I'm not an artist and don't know how to handle those tools other than watching. Since I override Bartheks's trees with your trees, I just wanted to compare the trees you created to Barthek's trees. I like to experiment with 'mix and match' and manipulate textures sometimes, in a 'reverse engineering' kind of way... Many thanks for your work!!
  8. Thanks! I've tried your idea but in "LandNoiseWinter" there was no such file "snownoise.tif". I've replaced it in summer and Autumn. Now they all look the same no matter the season. I was looking to control the amount of snow in relation to its season. i.e. highest amount of snow in winter less in summer , and in between in spring and autumn. Is it possible this "simple" way? or only an artist like Barthek can manipulate it?.. Cheers, Ron
  9. None... I just opened it with the default windows viewer... yours didn't open. Thanks for the reply :)
  10. Hi Taz1004, Thanks for this great mod!! I wשs trying to see the dds files but got a message it is "coruupted" or something, while I can open and see Barthek trees just fine. Is there a certain other way to see your trees from the zip files? Thank you!

  13. Rosh Pina airport (LLIB) is missing Hi, Thank you for a great looking map!! looking anxiously to see how it further developes :) Rosh Pina airport (LLIB) is missing in this map. I could see traces of it on the correct location on the map but it was not modeled. It is a military/civilian field just north of the Sea of Galilee, so it's not a remote part of the map - it is right where the action is happening, in the north of Israel at least, on the way from Ramat David AFB, to the Golan heights. I would think it is important enough not to omit, escpecially while Israel is only partly modeled and has so few airports... (Megido is a glider and light aviation field and yet it was modeled...) It is great for Helicopters ops, transports, and as an emergency landing field. For me at least (as I live in Israel) it is very noticable ommision in this great looking map. Please consider adding it... (Sorry again if it was asked and answered before) Regards, Ron [EDIT: just missed this was asked in the wish list... but I have elaborated more on the need of this airport here...ha ha..:megalol: ]
  14. Thank you very much for this amazing work Barthek!! truly work of art :thumbup: Very noticable upgrade that gives new life to the good old Caucasus map! (I am testing it with Mustang's shaders mod and Taz1004 trees). One thing that was a bit strange to me is the obvious lack of snow on mountains, comapred to vanilla, and especially in winter time, on the Elbrus mountain for example.... rest of the seasons looks pretty much lacking of snow, looks almost the same to me (snow wise). I'm attaching 2 pictures, vanilla and your mod on the same date on the Elbrus. Maybe we can have more snow here please?? :smilewink: Again, many thanks for this hard work of yours! much appreciated!!! Cheers, Ron Barthek_Winter : Vanilla Winter :
  15. Looks very good! Thank you!!
  16. AMPCD fonts are screwd... huge, blurred and unreadable at all, other MPCD are fine
  17. Hi Nineline... Any updates? Thanks!
  18. Thank you NineLine! waiting
  19. I guess it's engine limitation as well, and not pure oversight by them. By now I would expect some comment from ED's people, telling us what is the real reason for this, and if it could be addressed somehow... They're very responsive sometimes. And sometimes not... :smilewink:
  20. Thanks, but I'm actually looking for the Flaming Cliffs path, and coluldn't find it.
  21. Thanks, but it's obsolete now, couldn't find the file in this or other path.
  22. Wags is a professional....I don't belive he'll miss it ;) and the altitude at the base seems about right, so....
  23. Very good video that looks quite convincing for northern Israel!  Excelent detail in the airbase and towns in the area too :) I couldn't help notice that the height over the Sea of Galilee is ~370 ft /radar alt 340 ft (at 6:22) while it should be a negative value as it is below sea level https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_of_Galilee Surface elevation −214.66 m (-704.3 ft) (varying). Is it a limitation of the engine? If so, is there sort of a "compensation"/scaling mechanizm to keep the altitude proportions of the nearby areas i.e. increasing the Golan heights altitude by ~700 ft?... It is very obvious (for me at least) that the Golan heights is depicted as too low next to the Sea of Galilee. Thank you for the great work!!! Ron
