Arn't they made from plastics? Don;t know the english word for it, but here in holland we call it plexiglas -
how do you mean:megalol:? Well okey, make a wire frame render from on of the sides from your model (or part of your model by hiding some parts) You can choose for force wire frame in the options at the render page. I thought at render options, don't know for sure. after you made the render of lets say the right side, paint it in paint, or whatever... Then, go to your model in 3dsmax. Rightclick convert to editable poly. Then choose the square setting, so that you can select the squares in your model, (don't know how to say it correct but you can choose from dots, lines, squars and whole objects). Then, press M, so you will get the matrial editor. Then drag the skin from your folder where you saved it to the first slot. Then go to file and apply the skin yo your file. Now one side of your object has a skin. Now go to modifiers, and select UWV MAP, now you can play with all the options so that you can adjust the skin to the model I thought there was also an option adjust to model or something, not sure about that. hope this helps:thumbup:

MiG-29 landing approach in LockOn and IRL
thesystem replied to Fox One's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
But the German Mig had down-tuned engines? -
what i do, i am a complete noob at skinning so..... I make an render and use wireframe render mode. Then i paint the wireframe and past in onto the half of the model by selecting half of the model in edit polygone mode. Then i use UWV map to strech or fit the texture and then i do the same for the other side...

Mwoa, helping it self is enough for me! I love to help people:) And when you have the knowledge....why not:smilewink:
-
I can create just a box with a hole or simething or with some details and so on. Maby the problem is the shade...because the shade in lomac in the hanger is a 3d object...is realy weird
-
well...you must build something completly new i think...when i am ready with my bomb i will try to create a hanger...how many polygone max?
-
Yes, i right click convert to poly, then i select the parts i want to smooth en then i go to modifiers en select smooth:)
-
Exactly i dont have meshsmooth on it and i use boolean allot. Also the extrude command. I start with a tube of 5 parts, and then just extrude a next part. At the end i just smooth the whole bomb and tada....:megalol:
-
I recreated the backside of the bomb with the canister, that is now also finished. 866 Poly's is 1 bomb, not two hehe:megalol: Well, when i would delete the rim around the bomb casing i would get les polygones...also if i would not create the chute canister....but hey it should be there so i create it!:smilewink: And if you want it you can have it, so that you can recreate the model and get more skills! That's the way i learned it...recreate other peoples models...
-
update update:megalol: Chute canister is a loose component which can move, because of a parachute...
-
Aah! That's easy! You have a blueprint? Cut the parts out with photoshop or something that the sizes are correct. Then press alt + b and a popup screen will appear about background.... Then select a background (the blueprint you just cut out) and open it. You can also click on hold to image size i thought. And then the image will appear as background and you can draw around the image.... i will show you pictures later....
-
How do you mean? I attached an image to the other thread about the bomb how i'd setup my viewports...:smilewink:
-
I am now gonna adjust the bomb to the picture i posted because that one is not in Lomac:megalol: Viewports: http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/356/viewportsnq5.jpg
-
I don't create a mesh but i convert to polygon... And, i start with a cylinder, and use the extrude command as if it was my child:lol: I only have as much polygones as i see because i also delete the unseen polygones when i have some....
-
Today i am going to a festival, and tomorrow i will create the new fins! :smilewink:
-
Yes that is not a tiny count:megalol: Well....now you can remake the model, with less polygone!:smilewink: Polycount 1384 Which bomb is it by the way Edit: ODAB-500 It is allready in lomac :( Updating to this version of the bomb then?
-
you ahve 3dsmax? Yes you can. Go to tools at the right side bar en slect polygone counter. There you can see howmany polygones the entire model is.... My bomb rack is just 720 so...if ID wants it they can have it
-
Nice! Thats better How many polygones?:smilewink:
-
Sure looks cool, but a couple of things The ring at the end isnt straight with the bomb, it is a bit ofset to the richt when you look from the front... Well it sure looks nice though!
