  1. As we know, the first impression is so important fo new comers! So, I think the best strategy (beside making DCS World free) would be using New Nevada Map + Su-25 new 6 DOF cockpit for free (and drop supporting the old engine)!

  4. As a member of DCS: Super High Fidelity fan, I'm afraid of recent ED's decisions! First, killing the DCS: F-15C Eagle project, and second, sacrificing new modern techniques for backward compatibility's sake!
  5. The concept of backward compatibility is not new, but the point is: Making new Engine compatible with the old one (for just only one old map) is easier than making new (Persian Gulf) Map?

  7. Please don't limit the Eagle Dynamics' Simulation Engine by supporting the old Graphic Engine (like what you did to the 32-bit systems)! Stop Black Sea, and make new Persian Gulf Map for new Naval Operations.
  8. I don't know why they always blame the learning curve for not being popular like other games, but the performance, and not looking good terrain are the actual problems! Please make EDGE available before going to Steam platform.
  9. Come on you guys! With lots of modern techniques and with the help of Multi CPU-GPU, we can do whatever we want (even breaking the speed limit) :D Just do your best, and you'll see :)

  12. Although it's quit clear what the community wants, ED claims the record shows mid-quality Lock On Series is a success! If this is true, there are lots of other things which can affect the results. 1) Lock On contains some fighters, so, for example, you have to buy Lock On to have Su-27! 2) There is no DCS: Fighter, so, people buy Lock On to have at least some sort of fighters! 3) The community buys Lock On to support ED for DCS: Fighters And a lot more! So, please don't judge base on some raw results! Anyway, thankfully 3rd parties (especially Belsimtek) got what is desired!
  13. Super High Fidelity Simulation Modern Modules, not WWI, or WWII ones! I don't even like having Game Mode ether. So, would you please stop supporting Game Mode, it's confusing! 1) Super High Fidelity 2) Full Functional Clickable Cockpit (even Mirrors, and IFF)! 3) Cockpit Damage Model 4) Advanced Flight Model

  15. I hope they don't try to make EDGE backward compatible with Black Sea Map! Like 32-bit systems, they should abandon Black Sea, and make the best Simulation Engine ever: - True 64-bit software - Multi-Core - Visual C++ 2012 - DirectX 11 - PhysX 3.0

  17. Supporting for 32-bit system is going to be stopped (to have better performance). :) So, is it possible to stop supporting DirectX 9, and begin with DirectX 11 (like lots of new modern Game Engine)? It would be great to see how many of us can run DirectX 11!

    The Scalable Advanced Graphics Engine (SAGE) from Lockheed Martin: SAGE is using Havok to optimize its Physics Engine :D The Eagle Dynamics Graphics Engine (EDGE) is not yet finished! :( There is no rush though, we want the best Graphics Engine, ever! :)

  20. First, I really appreciate that ED team read our opinions in the forums! Like DirectX, PhysX is free for Windows platform. It's a one time effort, and finally, by utilizing DirectX 11 for EDGE and PhysX 3.0 for EDPE, we can get the performance of ARMA 3! Don't forget, some 3rd parties are going to implement some tanks with DCS: A-10C fidelity!
  21. The main parts of Game (Simulation) Engine are: 1) Graphic Engine 2) Physics Engine We could think of PhysX SDK as DirectX SDK in Graphic Engine! So: 1) DirectX 11 for EDGE (the Graphic Engine) 2) PhysX 3.0 for Physics Engine
  22. Although PhysX is running (natively) on NVidia PPU, it could run on CPU as well! I'm in love with this kind of Physics Engine:
  23. Since ED is making new Graphic Engine EDGE, I think it would be great to update the Physics Engine as well, by using new technology PhysX Lots of new modern Game Engines, like Real Virtuality 4, are going to use it.

    DCS: FPS

    I don't know why you get it nagging, it's just a need for more information (especially about EDGE)! :) Is there anything about EDGE in the radio interview? :D If they are working on EDGE from scratch, it's better to include PhysX as well, a new technology for physics engines!
