Any idea if they would put a Afganistan map? That would be wicked. Russians fought there and now the Americans. This map would make the most logical sence to have for realisic combat operations. Just my 2 cents

Rdiehl3 replied to Cibit's topic in User Created Missions General
Cibit, I am trying out building my own weather minimums tracks and if you would, could you please give me your Weather settings for these tracks? ex)cloud density , thickness, fog, thickness etc. Just if you could give me a ideas for very low minimumns and what options would allow me to bring them down and up. I ask bc its hard to go back and forth and see what they are. Thanks., -

In Semi and Auto CMS modes the jammer I understand goes into SPJ (Self Protection Jammer) meaning it goes to STBY to OPR to jam the lock from enemy radar. Can you toggle the Jammer in Manual Mode (OPR)? I think you can but I do not have the TM HOTAS which I think you press top down on the CMS button to toggle it. Which HOTAS button would I select to add this to my selection my stick. I looked in the Manual p.86 under CMS Switch but did not see any Jammer toggle option or that TOP DOWN CMS switch select option. Please advise.

Tried searching Forum for my question but I guess I could not find what I was looking for or I typed words for my search that could not find this question I have. Question: 1) I have a Saitek X-52 with a single throttle device. As you all know the A-10 has 2 engines. The other day I was practicing wind milling and apu starts in the air. I had problems bc it asks you to move the inop engine to off. When doing this with single throttle device both engines have to go back to set one to off, then I have to push the good engine back up to power back up. Is there a way to keymap each engine so I can bring a inop engine back by itself while leaving the good engine at power? 2)MRFCS: Did a practice flight trying to land in MRFCS. When I placed the a/c in MRFCS mode and waited till all hyd in system 1 and 2 was gone. It was a little hairy flying the plane, it had a huge tendency to pitch up so I tried trimming down with no luck, I was able to land but fighting the pitch up tendency all the way down.:joystick: Any thoughts why it pitched up so violently? 2nd attemped in MRFCS placed in MRFCS mode/switch... After 10 sec no control what so ever, nose pitched over doing negative G nose dive almost like a cuban 8 but not rolling over to wing level , I just fell outa the sky like I had no wings. Any input on what I may have done wrong? Both times i had no damage and strictly for training purposes. Any thoughts or your expirences with either question would be great.

I was cruising along a multi-player mission on-line and I got a 15 in my RWR box. I have a quick reference SAM giude and saw max range 19,000ft other guids say 15,000ft well anyways I was flying at 26,000ft and was wacked by this evil doer. I was feeling assured that I was outa range of this SAM system. Well, it happened 2 times to me and I was up in arms. I was prolly 6-10 nm away and 26,000ft. I was lauching chaffs and had Jammer on but again thought I was outa range so was not doing eratic manuevers bc I was loaded and heavy and flying high. Any ideas on this>? I was thinking a bug? if not what the heck did i do wrong or not do. Thanks in advance.:book:

A few questions needed in simple terms: :joystick: 1)Mils wtheck is Mils can anyone just tell me a simple definition of mils... Such as its 2 meters feet or whatever. Can one give me an example of using mils in DCS and how it effective and when used. Do you use it? 2)Vertical and Horizontal Offset: offsets off what? the bomb or rockets impact area? it shows -15 to +15 adjustments (NOW is -15 to 15 USING MILS??)if not what measurement...Now can where and why would I use this. An example would be fabulous. 3)Weapons Eject velocity. explain...it says -10 to +10 <--Mils??? why and when would I use this. Example please:helpsmilie: 4)Bomb rack delay. Now it seems logical I think it means you put in the UFC .25 <---time measurement right? and it a quarter of a second the 2nd bomb drops off rack to target...Is this correct? Thanks

As far a Mils what type of situation would you want to change the mils?
-
Just need some folks to teach me these terms and what they do for you. Also, maybe when you would use them... Mils? What is mils? what is its calculation or length/width/distance...? Horizontal Offset -15 +15 mils Vertical Offset -15 +15 mil Bomb rack delay: I understand what it is but I can only put whole numbers in the selection such as 1 or 2 or 3. Can I put .40? in there? DRC : TOF Desired time of fall..ok. When would it be practical to use this? MRC AND MRS: Do they tell you the same information? p.371-372 Flt manual. A to A: FEDS MRGS Just need these terms to be put in noob terms/explanations... :pilotfly:
