The price logic Viper brings up seems invalid because Steam sells a lot of smaller priced games, DLC and even regular games at smaller prices than $20. My assumption is that their DLC policies are different from simply selling a vanilla game and that's what ED and steam can't agree on. Well, when you finally come to an agreement, me and my friends have our money ready.

That still doesn't tell us much about how Steam isn't making it easy for you to release BS2 as a DLC add on to the original BS we bought on Steam . Are there DLC terms you're not making us aware of?

That's really disappointing. The whole reason me and my friends got BS on steam was so we could play it alongside a10c once It became compatible. How are we supposed to make it work with our steam versions? Sounds like you guys are shooting yourself in the foot with this one.

I'm sure adding a very high mode for distance and specifying how dense you want the grass to be wouldn't be too complex for the average customer. :) And yes I was talking about building distance. I find it a bit odd that buildings magically appear in front of you even with the view distance on high - the problem is I can't use the mod because it alters the f10 map textures so I can't make my way around a mission as easy.

I hope they add in more controllable things than just jets - such as boats (battleships, frigates,air-craft carriers etc..) and land vehicles so there could be epic online battles.

Anyone else notice how many gun rounds you need to take out a T-90? All the videos ive seen online seem to suggest that it shouldn't take as much as it does in the game. For me with all rounds on target it takes around 3 sweeps to take out one T-90 tank and then ive used up about 75% of my ammo. :huh:

Any plans on using and optimising the mods that are currently out and making them a part of the vanilla game? Mods like more dense grass and view distance increase, make the game look a lot better and it would be awesome to see ED use what other people have already done to make their game even better. Not only that but I'm sure they could optimise the mods to make them work even better than they already do.

will it fully utilise the engine that a10 currently uses so it makes the game look a lot better? the difference between a10 and black shark graphically is definitely noticeable.

got it working. it was an issue with the virtual lan client. game works fine. Any idea on when black shark will be ported to the a10 engine? It looks no where near as good as a10c does.

That's one of the first things we tried. All to no avail unfortunately. :(

Me and my friends just bought this game on the steam sale and now can't see each other over LAN? Not sure what the problem is as we quite frequently play dcs a10c over lan with no issues. Anyone have any idea what might be going on?

Anyone know if its a common problem with the increase view distance mod for a10c that you can't see icons properly on the map? Whenever I install it it comes up on the pause menu as texture not found. Also if it is common, are there any plans on updating it? It's awesome having the long view distance but not having any icons on the map is a bit shite.
