  1. dunno, works for me. If you describe what you do, we can tell what you do WRONG ;)
  2. Found it ! "Dirty" texture indeed... In Mods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Cockpit\MPCD\indicator\MPCD_init.lua, line 9 : used_render_mask = LockOn_Options.script_path.."Resources/MPCD/MPCD_DAY_MASK.dds" --default mask for TV This refers to a texture (in Mods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Cockpit\Resources\MPCD\MPCD_DAY_MASK.dds) which looks like a fly screen (good catch Eldur). Commenting line 9 and uncommenting line 10 gives us the grey untempered MPCD video...
  3. bump : would you share your mission so we can have fun helilogging as well, please ?
  4. Just to be sure (don't mind me asking), could it be the effect of Mach-1+ speeds ?
  5. Pretty much (unsurprisingly) the same as in the A10-C TGP
  6. Excellent, thanks ! I wonder if this is a workaround to a bug in the AV8 by RAZBAM, or an error in the MAV employment procedure they described ? What is the official doctrine for MAV employment ?
  7. Same here ; I'm suspecting yet another "dirty" texture...
  8. In my multi-monitor (2 screens) setup, the kneeboard is placed halfway through the first monitor ; could it be possible yours is so far away you don't even see it ?
  9. I've had a similar experience, which I related in another thread. Here, let me auto-quote :
  10. Hi there, We tried buddy lasing between a leader packing 4 fuel tanks and a TPOD and 2 wingmen packing 12 GBU-12 each. Yeah, that's overkill ;) Anyway, it kinda worked at start and then stopped working. Very weird. One of my wingmen was able to catch my laser point with his DMT a few times (not always, far from it) and fire a few GBU-12 (sometimes with DMT locked on my laser, sometimes blindly) which tracked my laser. Then it stopped working for him ; a second wingman joined and for him it never worked (no GBU-12 ever tracked). #2 was sometimes able to get my laser point on his DMT but reported it moving wildly and erratically. We tried different altitudes, different aspects, changing laser codes, but no joy... I'm interested in everyone's experience with buddy lasing between a TPOD and a DMT/GBU-12... Does it work ? Doesn't it ? What is the limiting factor ?
  11. We've come a long way since I started with Flanker 1.1 ;)
  12. As was posted on youtube : Do you have the mission files for your bases available anywhere?
  13. How do you export them only to the external monitors ?
  14. Well I use it in the first phase of an AAR, while I position my plane behind the tanker for pre-contact. It sets my trim automatically for the tanker speed and that spares me a few seconds...
  15. It works - not very well because of the sensitivity and size of the micro-stick - but you have to map the axis first...
  16. You need a waypoint AFTER the one for which you try and start a racetrack pattern
  17. When the TPOD is in TDC mode, it autodesignates a target for the DMT as soon as you stop slewing the camera. This target point is automatically shared (by DMT) with the Maverick ; you simply have to setup your other MPCD to STRS, and press the Uncage button. Then you'll see the video feed from the Maverick seeker camera, which should be pointed at your target. If you start slewing again (TDC → TPOD camera) the Maverick target will be updated. Press Sensor Select Forward twice to switch from INS to IRMV (left hand corner of the Maverick MPCD display). Then the TDC will slew the Maverick. But you don't have to slew : simply press TDC Action and the Maverick will lock. Hope this helps...
  18. When a program fails to give back RAM it asked for before but has no use for anymore, then asks for more RAM only to never give it back... You can see where this is going ;)
  19. Oh sorry, my bad... So Sniper, can you ?
  20. Thanks a lot Charles !
  21. Nope, the other way round : on a cold-started Harrier the point tracking does not work, while it does on a already-flying plane
  22. Hi there, This is a semi-bug report ;) I don't know if this is really a bug, or if this is how the TPOD and DMT are supposed to work together, but I find it quite weird (which is why I report it here). I'm aware that the TPOD behavior is different on hot vs cold started airplanes ; I tried this with both and it is always happening. 1. Setup the DMT on Right MPCD 2. Go to TV mode on the DMT 3. Setup the TPOD on Right MPCD (replacing the DMT) 4. Turn it on (STBY) and activate TDC control 5. Move the camera down with the TDC Aft button (held) 6. Release the TDC Aft button when ground is visible in the camera 7. The TPOD display on the Right MPCD is replaced by the DMT display 8. Setup the TPOD on the Right MPCD again. Turn it on if needed. 9. Move the TDC anywhere 10. When you stop moving the TDC the DMT display replaces the TPOD on the Right MPCD The outcome is different if you setup the DMT on the Left MPCD : each time you designate a new target in the DMT (when you stop slewing the TDC), the DMT image on the Left MPCD actualises to the new target. This is the documented behavior...
  23. Hey Chuck, didn't know you were a fellow frenchman (or french speaker at the very least) ! Congrats on your docs, always liked them
  24. yes, got the same when the sea is calm in Caucasus and Normandy
