  1. Thanks a lot ! Feeling smarter already ;)
  2. Thanks ! May I ask (searched in a dictionary but didn't find anything useful) what "gouge" means please ?
  3. Thanks! Your links are borked. Here are the correct ones : H-6 H-7 J-7 Btw there are a lot of Tactical Pilotage Charts (TPC) on this site too : here is the list.
  4. You don't need the tanker speed. The first step should be to fly formation with it on its left or right side, trimming your aircraft perfectly to his speed ; feel free to note it down at the same time ;)
  5. I use snap views a lot, and as the F18 is quite new I'm still experimenting with the default view - and thus saving it often. It definitively works on my PC, and gets saved to my snapviews.lua files (.../User Settings/.../.../Config). Are you sure that this file and its parent folder are writable by DCS ?
  7. There is an option (in the option screen) that you must set to allow edition of SNAP views (iirc it's called "Use default snap views")
  8. Skatezilla: I read your comment and understand that when not set to "every frame", the resolution is not always the same ? (as opposed to what I thought : when not set to "every frame", the image was not refreshed every game frame)
  9. Great tutorial, as always ! Thanks mate.
  10. Must watch :
  11. Same thing here
  12. Hi there, I just want to share a possible cause for ACCESS VIOLATION crashes in DCS. In two different cases, it was caused by a lack of Paging File (in one case it was too small). So, simply let Windows manage this setting and there are good chances DCS won't crash anymore. Your mileage may vary, but it worked for me ^^
  13. Civilian ships maybe ; because navy ships will make minced meat of a few LMAV : they fly slow and high, and as such are easy prey to anti-aircraft defences.
  14. The E can be fired at a much greater distance than the D/G (up to 12nm iirc, depending on the flight conditions at time of release). It can also be fired at a friendly-designated target (e.g. dropping ordnance on a target threatening a Special Ops commando equipped with a SOFLAM laser designator) It carries a biger payload (130 kg iirc) than the D (40kg iirc).
  15. Are your MFD mapped to actual DCS commands in the options ? If yes, are these commands selected (while still in the options screen) when you press the MFD buttons ?
  16. Works on my side ; the chaff release command is mapped to a (shifted) button on my throttle (while the flare release is mapped to the same button, unshifted). Never had a problem with countermeasures on the Harrier.
  17. I don't think so ; but it's definitively possible IRL, so it will be simulated.
  18. Read this.
  19. You're welcome mate ; I use these for linking physical switches on my warthog throttle to the virtual switches on the Harrier.
  20. Hi H-J-P, McMicha; and all the others; First, I'd like to thank you for dedicating so much work in Ikarus and yet giving it to the community, free of charges. I know from personal and professional experience how much time such a project can consume. I'm using mainly the Harrier module in DCS, and I'd like to make a simplified UFC+ODU controller on a small touchscreen. For this, I'm also willing to invest my time and efforts and help with updating DCS-ExportScripts and Ikarus. You said in this very thread that you had started working on the Harrier, but I don't see anything in DCS-ExportScripts ; shall I start from scratch ? I don't want to waste time redoing what you already did, of course. Again, thanks for Ikarus ! Cheers,
  21. As razo+r said, but with a link ;)
