  1. Are you sure the "parking brake" is not set ? It actually disables the throttle...
  2. Check this thread (you may have to improvise) [EDIT]This thread is great too !
  3. -- deleted --
  4. then don't buy the F18... the third (central) MFD is raised (towards the pilot)
  5. Snap views are very easy to save yourself ; let me find an old link for you... Here.
  6. Do you have "Cockpit Display Res" set to "xxx every frame" ? If so, this is a huge FPS eater
  7. It's been explained a few times here, so you'll be better with a search than with reading my (short) explanations... Anyway : you have to setup your viewport (in Windows) and then set the resolution in DCS to the total resolution of your viewport. Then you need to copy/paste/edit a .lua file in the MonitorSetup folder, change its name (not only the filename but also the name in the file content), and define all your views in your viewport (main, left mds, etc.). Then start DCS and select your monitor setup definition. And voilà !
  8. It's been that way since LockOn... The clouds are 3D sprites IIRC...
  9. Just a quick thought (for people having a "WPN FAIL" message) : do you have two or less type of A2G ammunition loaded ? The WMS will fail if 3 or more types are loaded...
  10. 31X is Senaki ... are you sure your TACAN receiver was pointing to the TARAWA ?
  11. My tips for AAR : - start well trimmed (and trim as you take on fuel : it's heavy) - don't concentrate your gaze on a point but let it drift (large FOV, sort of) - choose anchor points on the tanker (engine, refuelling pipe) and your craft (AAR lights panel, HUD, heading indicator) and imagine you're a IRMV seeker trying to make these points stay in the same relative positions - try not to react but anticipate the plane moves : you're flying slowly and when slow it has a great deal of inertia and is slow to respond to commands ; so if you induce oscillations it's because your commands are too late - practice, practice, practice ; and when done : practice the other side ;) Hope this helps
  12. Where do you do that ? (I mean for the non FC3 aircrafts)
  13. Nice screens ! I'm gonna use a few of these as my new rotating wallpaper ;)
  14. What's the max speed for dropping a GBU12 ?
  15. Well there is something about TACAN channels and it changed with an old update. At the very beginning, my training mission (sporting a 02Y channel for the tanker) was working as advertised. Then, after an update (don't know which one) we noticed that we had to switch the TACAN receiver to X to get distance. I checked the mission (which didn't change for this purpose) and the tanker TACN was set correctly. It still only works when selecting X in the cockpit, even when the channel is set to Y in the mission editor. So I guess that's a bug...
  16. I'll help you decide : YES !
  17. Just a quick heads-up (to ensure that ED did not forget about this bug) : As replied, it affects all aircrafts with HUD and even the shadows around cockpit struts behave strangely... An effect of Deferred Shading ?
  18. Here is a piece of advice from my (old) days, when I learned to use the Ka50 Shkval : if you set your "Resolution of cockpit display" to anything less than 1024 (or 1024 every frame, which I discourage you to select), the image on your Shkval/TGP/TPOD/Viviane will be less distinct and targets will be much more difficult to identify... Here's something to read
  19. The real question is : what does Video (RA)Memory have to do with system (RA)Memory ? I've got 11G of VRAM on my Geforce 1080 Ti and only 3-4G are being used, while in the same time I had to buy RAM and extend my system to 32G to avoid being thrown out of multiplayer...
  20. +1 ; please bring it back !
  21. It's already there... I use the TDC 4-direction actions with my Warthog throttle's 8-direction switch...
  22. Yep, same here on our dedicated (leased) server
  23. Same here, on a leased dedicated server with no 3D rendering...
  24. correct !
