Thanks, did it, now how can I install cockpit texture properly ?
-
Not a single help ;-(... I'm stuck with an unusable addon
-
Any ideas ? When I mixed up with my anticipated access build ( put the other part in CoreMods ), it worked partially, I was able to load it in game but not as a player. Looks like my download of the current open beta F-14 is very light ( around 2 GB ) while the anticipated was 5.5 GB or something. Did any of you experienced this ? How heavy is your download when you install it through module mannager ? Thanks for your help

HEllo, I wanted to give this cockpit mod ( http://www.****************/files/file/3498-patos-uh1-h-cockpit-mod-black-pitfor-dcs25/ ) a try and probably messed up with something as I don't have cockpit textures any more.. Any help to correct this and get back to the original txtires/ install these ones correctly ? Thank you

Hi there, It is surely a dumb problem, still I'm stick. I ran the anticipated access version up to now, installed manually in the Saved Games Mods and CoreModes subfolders, and when the early access open beta was out on the 13th, I updated DCS and Installed the " new " F-14. I thought it was going to replace the older one, but it just didn't worked. I could select the module theme on main menu, but when loading it told me it needed F-14B AI to launch the mission, and in Mission Editor, no F-14 in yellow.. So I Uninstalled it from the module manager, then deleted older manually installed folders in Saved Games, then reinstalled everything, no joy either... Any ideas ? DCS is 2.5.4.28461. Thanks

Never forget that Fighters are nothing, it’s Bombers who write History [ True Story ]

Well, of course it’s a debate and hopefully everyone is going to defend his positions. Though I do NOT understand why so many are stuck in the impossibility we have one some day. Can’t you understand many people are just fond of the B-17 design, as a very elegant and awesome Airframe on it’s own ? Holy prop, we have those ubiquitous Fighters over and over again ( 109, Spits.. ) here and on IL2 as well as « What can I actually do with » planes such the Yak ... the B-17 definitely has its place. We have Normandy, what’s this for ?? It is wide enough to be it’s hunting range, period. Optimising stuff to welcome a Flying Fortress must be something in the scope of Eagle Dynamics. I know manpower and so are limited, but they’re spending way too much energy in trainers, in my humble useless opinion. For those making assumptions that the B-17 is a complex A/C, you just get too much impressed by it. It’s a pretty simple design actually, built to last and to be easily serviceable on field with many interchangeable parts. Pretty straight forwards, it has four engines using superchargers for high alt performances. I know this plane intimely as studying it for like twenty years, it’s history, design, building, development etc. Probably the most complex stuff to do could be the Norden modeling and integration and original implementation of multicrew and management system in single player pretty much like B-17 II : The Mighty Eighth was ( still an awesome sim nearly 20 years after ), but for sure if there is such a strong and continious popular demand, it wil come sooner or later. Keep showing your interest dudes ! And I’d personally give 1500 USD just to start the project and encourage others to follow. Hueyman

Pretty straight forward. The prop visually spins the WRONG direction... Easy fix I hope:thumbup:

Any dev thoughts on this ? Evil Bivol, PilotMi8 ?

The SU-30 FAMILY PROJECT is Back
Hueyman replied to Gizmondo's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Amazing work dudes ! I'm actually dreaming of a Su-30SM like for years, maybe this is coming true ! Could you share current states as a pre-allpha or early beta please ? Cheers, Hueyman -
Yeah dudes, there will always be smart heads making great efforts to not understand what is howether clearly explained.. How to submit that bug to the devs ? Thanks Hueyman

We could debate forever of course ( as we usually love to ahah ;) ) It's not about saying it's realistic or not. Of course it's not. But it's there so why not letting it be working as it should ( i.e LEVEL FLIGHT = constant altitude and heading ). Veering to left or right is just nonsense. For AP equipped Hueys such as the Bell 212, when you press the HDG button on the AP CMD panel, it will engage and turn toward the selected HDG on the HSI, and do whatever it needs to keep that heading. No drift, nada. Now, on this '80s basic 205/UH-1, I'm not even sure we have Force Trim IRL, as those are generally coupled with integrated APs and SAS systems. 90% of the series Helicopters just have hydraulically actuated controls to reduce stick force to zero, but no Force Trim alone, for the 205 it was an option. So having that mix here, and adding that AP cheat, it should be very useful to have it follow the current heading at time of activation, as Sharkku said, useful for long legs. Of course it would be our task to reckon wind drift, but not our task to regularly deactivate AP, take a counter correction of X degrees, re-activating AP, re-accelerate time and wait until it veers of course too much again .. very pesky Not everyone loves to spend 3 hours on the controls fighting to keep precise flight parameters. It's one of the boring thing IRL and the kind of stuff that doesn't make you any better or more profescioent in the long run... intense tasks such take off, landings, hovers, combat, let downs or such are demanding tasks. So, IMHO, correcting that current inaccurate AP wouldn't lower realism. Those who wants to wank their stick all day long to fly straight still will be able to ignore this and never hit the AP cheat button !

Hello guys, First, I stop people running at me yelling real Hueys don't have autopilots, I know how they works. ( most of em don't even have a TRIM REL system btw, only transparent hydraulics controls ) But in sim, the cheat autopilot function " level flight " should AT LEAST do it jobs properly. It holds altitude but it constantly turns to one side, slowly but surely, making long navigations a pain. Doing a lot of IFR NDB let downs lately, and it would be really handy to have that LEVEL FLIGHT option holding current ALT and HDG rock solid ! Please add this in next update. Thanks

Can't wait it finally comes ... I feel it's on short final, 4-6 months from touchdown ;-)

Flying nowadays in the Huey in Northern France makes me wonder when we'll see a true Vietnam map !

Nothing on flight dynamics, at all Purely aesthetic flaw, it was.

Ahah me too dude, me too .. But you know, sometimes, because people don't understand or notice things, they assume the whole world is wrong if thinking the contrary. And Giaco, glad to have you there ;-) It's a true privilege to have such experienced crewmen and pilots among the community. That said, it's not perfect no, but one of the best module so far, and a very advanced simulation. Rogue Trooper, too bad, but the Hind isn't there yet, you probably meant the Hip(ster) ;-) !

Still a joy to re-read this whole topic, 4 years later !

Same here, directly came here to check ... ED never do this kind of thing without any clever hint, so we might be getting new Su-33 FM in the coming 6 years I assume ;-)

Holy cow, I'm just dreaming every night of a full fledged DCS B-17G module ... Why not after all ? They can't pout so much details into an AI only thing... they obviously ahs plans for the years to come... I remember each AI model seeing a huge 3D upgrade from the past ( Mi-8, Huey, F-5, F-18 eventually saw them a dedicated module all the way.

Upuaut's Bell-47G/H-13 Sioux for DCS World - Teaser
Hueyman replied to Eight Ball's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Holy Sh!t dude I can't wait to fly this thing 'round mountainous areas... let's make FARPS in the Highlands, some Medevacs and tune the FM to this : You are very talented Cheers and all the best ! -
God.. COMMON PLEASE !! We all love the Su-27, but the main reason for the 33, at least for me, is for in-flight refuel, that would change a lot in the field experience ... Using currently 33 is like getting back to LOMAC ... If at least, in order to wait, some modders could nput the current Su-27 PFM on the 33 with in-flight refueling abilities that would help waiting ED's PFM !

The best one available ;-) He just released some swedish marvel. Just be patient, all will come in due times
