  1. Can't hope for anything better than a DCS level B-17F ...
  2. Wow, BRILLIANT ! I made a great Soundpack a while ago, which was well received by the community and I'm glad of it ! But ( I haven't tried it yet ) watching the videos show a higher level of craftmanship, and honestly yours sounds better than mine on many sides ( startups, shutdowns, when it comes from high distance toward you etc ... ) While some sides and conditions still sounds too much clinical clean ( too much turbine whine, tail rotor too weak ), it generally sounds really immersive HATS OFF dude ;-) And thanks to keep improve this amazing Heli ! Hueyman
  3. Hope we'll see a -4 variant after the F4U-1D ...
  4. AI yes... But honestly, a DCS level flyable B-17 F/G IS doable. Is the demand and current engine/maps/environment suitable ? Less likely ...
  5. I literally can't wait anymore... Watching the Black Sheep show over and over again ... Damn those planes are so hot ! Particularly the -4 with it's huge four bladed and different cowl. I'm forced to launch up the good ole' Pacific Fighters to full fill my needs ahah, can't wait you guys bring teh Corsair and its environment to 2016 level in that Leading Edge platform that is DCS World ...
  6. +1000 Such an awesome team with a Nice sense of how thing should be managed They doesn't take customers as feeders, and treat them respectfully, that's remarkable
  7. Probably many of you did know this, I don't... but I'm sure all of you already watched " The Battle of Britain ", shot in 1969, probably the best WWII Aviation Era movie ever made, with real aircraft in it ( not a bunch of pixels liek nowadays ), and real aces into it ( Adolf Galland to say the least ) So if you liked it you may want to watch this... 8. Hi people ! Okay, please take a look at this video : [ame] [/ame] On my side, the most impressive thing I love in Jet Fighters, beside their speed and performances, is their impressive and intimidating ROAAAARRRR their turbofans make. To this date, I never heard anything similar in any sim. i truly thing DCS is now the leading edge in term of Modern Air Combat, and the very advanced past, current and future modules are proving it. Wouldn't it worth to put a dedicated part of Eagle Dynamics team working solely on the Sound Engine ? I'm aware the result coming in our hears in the video ( in real world ) is amazing complex to reproduce due to the myriad of physical and audio effects to take into account ( mobile velocity, base fan frequency, wind dir/force, ATM conditions, humidity )... cause the distinctive " WSHIIOOOOOUUURRRRRRRRRRR " we hear is not really the engine sound itself, but the air blast of compressed air busted at several hundreds knots out of engine exhaust with ambiant air, that violent contact creates that sound ( like when you blow very hard air on your close hand ) We can have best quality recorded sound ever ever made in DCS, if we don't have a coherent and advanced sound engine, with 3D positioning, real time calculations etc, we'll only hear the same unplausible stuff we hear for decades ( we know it's a turbine, cause it's whining, but nothing close to a real Jet Engine ) With the extreme level of graphical, system modelling, flight dynamics we are delivered right now, that huge lack in Sound modelling is really starting to make bad contrast with the rest. Overrall immersion is GREATLY affected by sounds . For instance, look at this video, ( not for deplorable gamish side of FSX of course, but what real sounds matched with these maneuvers can give in term of immersion ) [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9Ou_R0ci70&t=1m27s[/ame] Some may say you don't fly in outside view in real world, and they are rue... but in that case why developing always more and more advanced 3D assets and so on ? Common ... What do you think, the community ? And what would the developer side would tell us regarding this ? Happy flying everyone !
  9. News ! " Both the Su-33 and MiG-29 are getting some love! We are working on the Professional Flight Model (PFM) for the Su-33. This will be based on the Su-27 PFM, but will be adapted for weights, the tail hook, and its distinctive aerodynamic features. Once we complete the flight model of the Spitfire IX, we will begin work on a new flight model for the MiG-29. Speaking of the MiG-29, we are also completing work on an all-new external model! "
  10. Absolutely ahah ! For any Corsair lover, take a cup of something, sit back and watch : [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nubn_QpkHnI[/ame]
  11. Would dream for a F4U-4 variant as well ...
  12. Can't wait themselves makes their so awaited PR, written previews, videos etc... They seems so overwhelmed with the MiG 21... Is this bird getting a new upgrade from scratch again ?
  13. You meant how Corsair pilots will perform against Focke Wulfe and Messerschmidts ? ;-)
  14. Great, a must read for sure !
  15. And see that board above... F4U-4 reaches Mach 0.6, nice eh ?!
  16. Yup, I couldn't agree more. I admit I'm a tiny little bit disapointed of the -1, would love a 4 bladed one, but I'm sure if it's a great success, paid upgrades like half or one third of the price could bring these variants improvements, still I'm pessimistic since it never happened before ( only one strict variant for each module, even no tries for closest variants ... )
  17. Well, someone actually had to get the ball rolling;-P And I wanted to  I have to admit, I was almost sure it was going to be the Corsair, but today let's say 85% of my dream came true, nothing official yet but intimately convinced there'll be a Corsair... This thread would be a Corsair general discussion, all variants included. The Bent Wing, no one can be indifferent about it, you love it, you hate it ... It's not only the Baa Baa Black Sheep workhorse, even if in our minds it stays so, the Chance Vought F4U Corsair got a great life through the years. She's brutally powerful, she's fast, she's aggressive and she's just awesome... This inverted Gull Wing configuration , with high torque radial engine spinning a huge three or four bladed Constant Speed prop just did marvels, one of the fastest of the WWII, and even after... Great performances, more than sufficient payload including unguided rockets, HE Bombs, Napalm and fuel tanks. A good lad for former CAS and strafing runs on convoys, trains or infantry. Now, let's share our thoughts, hopes and wishes ( while trying not to make this thread a bin ) and feelings about this mighty airframe We are little black sheep. Who have gone astray ... Have a good evening dudes ! Hueyman
  18. Sorry if it has been posted before, not found it... The Ultimate TOMCAT video ( yes... not Top Gun ! ) [ame] [/ame]
  19. LNS : F4U-4 Corsair FOR THE WIN !! Hopefully ...
  20. Well, this could be really interesting.. After a Corsair or a Tigercat ! I love prop driven planes in general but I have great memories of reading Squadron Biggles and the Lysander sorties :-)
  21. Saw many great changes in last update, as well as great incoming AI Flight Engineer, but nothing regarding these animations issues. I assume they won't ever be fixed ? Do you realize it's the first DCS module with immobile flight controls surfaces ( Ka-50, UH-1 and all airplanes have moving controls, swashplates, pushrods, swash followers, blade grip rotations etc )
  22. Bravo les gars ! Hats off guys !
