  1. DCS World - Count me in!! Integrating all the aircraft into one application makes a lot of sense - will save precious hard drive space/ download traffic as well. Looking good, ED
  2. Perhaps the SAM launcher has a '3rd time lucky' feature implemented by the manufacturer :smilewink:
  3. To get the most out of the sim you should also read the flight manual (downloadable from the Digital Combat Simulator website), having a thorough knowledge of the cockpit/panels/switches gives you a good platform onto which you can develop flying/combat techniques.
  4. When you order them to hold, do they fly a pattern around the datalink point (possibly a figure 8 IIRC)? I think I saw somewhere on the forum that they won't hold at the point but will rather fly a pattern around it, in order to improve fuel time (hovering uses more power hence more fuel).
  5. ^^ Just gotta love the small details that are implemented in the sim :) ^^
  6. If you have the time I'd strongly recommend reading the flight manual thouroughly, it gives you a good knowledge foundation. Just learn one panel/display at a time and before long you'll know what everything does, and then you can practice putting your knowledge to use.
  7. Great work!
  8. .... and now I realise that this part of the forum is for 'reality' aviation chit-chat.... and I cant remove the thread.... oops
  9. Haha, well, I was just about to post a thread in the bugs section of the forum to try and find a solution to some errors I was getting while trying to update DCS WH to 1.1.1.1, only to realise that I had DCS running in the background while trying to update. LOL Feeling pretty dumb right now :music_whistling: Time to fly some 1.1.1.1 :D
  10. Probably a better idea to just get a top notch computer and run dual monitors
  11. Ok, found it - had another good look through the controls page and would you believe it - there it was. I'm thinking I probably should have had that 'good look' before asking the question :music_whistling: For the sake of anyone else who had the same question I did, the controls were: LCtrl + * (to zoom in) and LCtrl + / (to zoom out)
  12. Hi all, Apologies if this question has already been asked (I couldn't find it), but is it possible to zoom in and out or (or change the FOV) when in F11 view (free camera)? I have seen evidence that it is possible but can't for the life of me figure out how its done. Much thanks, jacksos101
