  4. I think there's a big issue with this 3d engine, it seems to render every objects no matter if it's visible or not... Since 2008 it had horrible performance, I wonder how I could put so much money in it!

  7. Solved : reinstall drivers and do not install 3dvision, do not install Nvidia hd audio. Made me mad all night !!! Now no hang anymore cpu oc @ 3.9Ghz and gpu @ 1.8Ghz

  9. Same here !!! Cannot assign a joy button for recentering the view with target running. Made me mad all evening. Strange! Edit : works in UI keys after restarting vr recenter'and zoom do work!!!

  12. Same problem on Arma3, guys are trying to make exact same scripts because the standard AI inside the game are too much UberAI... Incredible that we encounter this problem on both game. Perhaps you can have a look to some mods about LOS on arma2/arma3 ...
  13. I do not agree Complex calculations for your flight : ok But it's lot of local calculations, the server just manages 3d positions. I mean some stuffs has to be simplified for network traffic ....
  14. I just meant : Arma will never got the quality of dcs for anything in the air DCS will never got the quality of arma for anything on the ground But Arma is the closest to this !!! For me, the only way to get a win/win can be if they contract each other making an interface for both worlds Sounds simple on my iphone but impossible because of ways business goes :(
  15. Yeah sure it´s possible : there are tricks to be found server and client sides. Like approximations for AI not involved in a conflict with humans. Serverside : you have only to have 3d position in this virtual world Clientside : only have to render visible zone you are in For both game : they don't code mutithreaded. Only arma can scale a bit more with headless client technology. Of course it's a challenge : sure it can be done Did you have a look to Arma3 recently? There are load of problems on arma for the moment, when there like 200 AI and 20 people online. But the server is able to handle it with an headless client calculating the AI. How much time a dedicated DCS World can handle 50 AI and 10 human driven planes??
  16. Yeah ok but what´s the point to implement infantry if you don't push the concept to its limits... They should speak together about an interface between their 2 virtual worlds !!!

  18. Yeah ok but it´s quite the same for other modules. I mean, if they want to make a new ARMA, it will be ok in 2035!!! These 2 companies should think about an interface between both simulators. Can be a win/win contract without giving precious dev datas to each others. Instead, they compete and customers pay for beta products... Imagine : An Arma battle on Altis with CAS support from DCS class A10C !!! Was just a dream, sorry

I turn it on 1 week ago : I laughed Eagle Dynamics should contracts with Bohemia Interactive, this way : ED can focus on what they do great : Planes Simulation And BIS could focus on what they do great : Soldiers Simulation :music_whistling: Paying for beta softwares that will never work : DCS ARMA3 RFACTOR2
  20. Ok it works!!! Modify some lua with right viewlimitangle but it was pain in the ass. I thought there can be a switch or a calculated right fov inside the game for the right resolution ...
  21. anybody figured out how to change FOV in the new version??? I was out for 1 year and now I see I can't use my 3 screens setup anymore with this new version !!! Are you kinding us ED ??? I was about to setup a dedicated server but if the FOV stuff doesn't work anymore I will go back to ARMA3 !!! Thanks for answering HOW TO SET the FOV in the news version please !!!

  23. Hi Taipan, For such resolution (6020*1200), 3GB cards helps a lot for MSAA I think but with SLI, all the cards have the same datas in the vram, so that's very expensive for the gain. I don't really know if the 3WAY SLI helps, but I made some tests and SLI was quite linear, especially if your not VRAM limited. I can try to go from 3way sli to SLI to see if the 3rd card help for the framerate. Yesterday's eve, I noticed stuttering while in battle (instant action insurgents), I'll try to remove some MSAA tonight. I love this new 3D Engine for the Shark !!! I've been waiting for this since 2008! At that time I had 3*GTX280 1GB, but the 3D Engine in BS1 was not able to render correctly a nice zoom for 5760*1080. Now, like in A10C, the view is perfect !!! Regards
