@chaser You need to get things properly installed first. 1) Vol knob: you're not running latest plugin version 2.5.8 http://www.vaicompro.com/downloads.html 2) Also your lua code is not in place @tebsu As above and download and install the chatter dll http://www.vaicompro.com/faq.html @Japo Solved as per PM @Ares63 The command is 'Approaching for Refuel' see ref table @Stuart The command is 'Request Refuel' see ref table.
-
@Snacks Reproducible? Which module? @Japo Yes that works, you can use 'two', 'three', 'four' and you can even call your flight buddies by individual callsign aliases. The trick is not to speak too fast. Look on manual page 15 for more explanation. Cool that it works with Spanish. @Mower :thumb: Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

@redeye LOL  @snowblizz There's a section about in the manual, page 11. @chaser Make sure to use the correct phrases from the reference tables and spend some time with speech training. Page 30. @thud Excellent thanks. @don Looks like you ended up with two dll's in your apps folder: keep only the latest and just delete the other one.
-
@Redeye Sounds like you may need to enable joystick support like Muskoka, see post #1570. @chaser The Chatter option requires a separate license. @Ares Close the alternates panel if it pops up. Refer to post #1548 for some tips for non-native speakers. @japo32 Interesting idea to translate to Spanish. The blank field is a long-known graphics bug in VA and can be ignored as mentioned on several places on this thread and also on the FAQ page. Keywords editing needs to be done not in the profile but in the plugin keywords editor. Suggest to spend some time with the User Manual, feel free to PM me if you need more help.
-
@Muskoka The log says you're not pressing any TX node. Try enabling joysticks in VA (gamepad icon). @Immel If the plugin does not connect it can be only two things 1) Your lua has ended up in the wrong places, and/or 2) another app is blocking proper functioning. Start with 2) and delete Export.lua from Saved Games, restart VA. If needed then use the Custom Folder option to address 1). See e.g. post by @SLAYEROMATICK @sobe If the FINISH steps have gone well the message on startup should disappear. @FF 1) No, you'll just have to make a note :) 2) The version of the keywords/aliases list last saved to disk. 3) For reference or printout.

Good news, seems I just found the source for the profile switching bug. Needless to say it was a stupidity on my end :music_whistling: Anyway fixed in next update. Cheers
-
@Slayer PM inbound. @crowebar. Thanks mate. The plugin update process leaves your profile alone so that won't be a problem. In general when you want to use additional commands, VA allows import of individual commands but also it is possible to have your VAICOM PRO profile act as the master and have it reference commands from other profiles via daisy chaining. Look for 'include commands from other profiles' in the profile settings.
-
@slicker55 Awesome, thanks for the positive feedback mate. Mostly support stuff going on on this thread but of course by far the most users are just out there happily flying with this thing. So, good to hear that also :-) @SkipCarey The message is related to profile switching. Disable other VA plugins and try with inspecting these settings in VA: Enable Auto Profile Switching, Load Profile On Startup, Global Profiles. PM me if you get stuck. @Ares If you're non-native English speaker try playing with these VA settings: Command Weight: try to raise or lower instead of the recommended 80/85 setting. Min Confidence level can also be lowered to allow easier acceptance by the engine. Also in VA select Disable Acoustic Echo Cancellation and in your audio (mic) driver disable enhancements. @Caysuyu Would need further assessment but it sounds like a MP server-specific thing. @Slayer Most likely your DCS migration from 1.5 to 2.5 has left an invalid registry entry for the DCSW install path. Try using the Custom Path option to point to the DCS World install folder. Also there are other fix options for this for example via regedit or search this thread for 'symbolic link'. Grtz

@FF PM sent @Don When switching profile this message gets generated by VA not by the plugin. I've been in touch with VA about it but no joy. It's a minor inconvenience we'll just have to live with. Select the VAICOM profile and restart VA. . @Mojo Remember what your mother told you: Always Make A Backup :) @Redeye Ok thanks we'll check the code for the FF command. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

@Vampire Well that's not caused by VAICOM PRO but by DCS itself. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3770894&highlight=viacom#post3770894 Of course you can use the plugin to disable the menus altogether. Note that even with disabled menus via the plugin, menu access and control are still available on-demand through the Options voice command.
-
In the editor you can remove the 'Action' word or edit it into anything you like: it's just there to easily find imported F10 commands. The plugin doesn't send key sequences like F10-F1-F1, etc. Since menu contents constantly shift in DCS that doesn't work. Instead it uses a different technique with a unique ID for each menu command independent of menu state. An imported F10 command would theoretically work the same in a different mission/server if the assigned ID is the same (not tested but feel free :D).

@zaelu Thanks for updating. @FF OK I'll look into that one, need to see what triggers the F10 reset on switching aircraft. Thanks for flagging.
-
@Chriscache Make sure to clear the field with Ctrl-A, Delete. The ** should not be there, reset your database if it doesn't go away. @zaelu After you consolidated it looks like this: Double-click the consolidated command and execute step 3. Hope it computes :) EDIT: the field shows blank, but the content is actually there. This is a known VA graphics bug and should be ignored as stated in the pop-up window. Just close with OK and done.
-
@zaelu Good tips. Re the FINISH step there's something on page 28, for consolidation of commands in VA look for this
-
@Dutch There's something wrong with your profile: try re-importing from the Profiles subfolder. @Oz PM sent. @warblade @leysard @emc Thanks for flagging: fixed in next update. @all Update 2.5.8.1 -in a day or two- will also include a new feature: chatter sound control (volume and panning). :joystick:

Hey sobe In the Hornet TX1 is COMM1, TX2 is COMM2. Grtz Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

@ibanezgreg Solved as discussed on PM, thanks @Leysard OK some ideas yes, it will need to be looked into. Thanks for flagging.

Yep exactly.

The plugin default TX radio mapping uses slot assignments based on certain business logic. Example: FM radio -> slot 3 (TX3), UHF -> slot 2 (TX2), single radio -> slot 2 (TX2), etc. The plugin also displays the radio device names as used internally in DCS. See page 12 of the manual. However the above slots assignment is not the same as the one used by SRS. For some modules e.g. your UHF radio may be on TX2 in VAICOM PRO but in radio 1 slot in SRS. When SRS mapping mode is selected in the plugin, the slot placement and radio names are the same as used by SRS. This means that TX1 always corresponds to SRS radio1, TX2 = SRS radio 2, TX3 = SRS radio 3. This is for all modules. So this should make it easier to get a universal PTT setup on your rig. Best tried out in practise. Hope it clarifies somewhat :D Cheers
-
@Ixsapper That's a known snag in the Harrier module itself (i.e. not VAICOM). It was reported earlier and presumably it's being looked into https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3693385&postcount=1216 Re the SRS mapping: the option is there to have aligned PTT setup across all modules. If you have your PTT already lined up with SRS than no need to change anything.
-
Hey Mike the .vap file and subfolders are automatically generated by the plugin on first launch. VA must be running as admin and make sure Plugin Support is enabled. Grtz Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Wow that's awesome guys, thanks for your support. What a great community this is :) @emc A lot of prep work has already gone into the RIO extension. I cannot confirm a release date yet but will share more info as it becomes available. Exciting times.. @Darcwaynard Latest version 2.5.8 has a new SRS mapping feature for PTT, make sure to check that out. I'm eager to hear back on how VAICOM and SRS are used together in MP practise, suggestions in that area are always welcome. @ibanexgreg Well all looks normal here with latest OpenBeta, it could be you have some install snag. Have you tried using the Custom Folder option (with ob flag)? Have a look and PM me if you get stuck.

Ok guys,.. someone found it necessary to rate this thread with 1 star i.e. 'Terrible'. Was it something I said lol. If you have a problem just PM me. Anyway kind reminder to all: I put in a lot of effort to provide support and keep this a 5-star thread. Remember that you can show appreciation at any time by giving this thread some love with a starry upvote :) Much appreciated! All the best, Hollywood

@Stuart Sure, that's not a problem. Anyway it's a simple preference tickbox (on the EX tab) that you can easily deselect.
