I have no problem not having a sound card and have the means to install one if I so desired. There isn't that much of gap in the quality. You are going over board. But like you said, "to each his own" - no matter how twisted someone gets it. :thumbup:

That explains why almost no major custom computer builders on the market today place sound cards in their boxes. Seems to reason if they offered such better quality sound that it would be wise marketing to put them in gaming boxes. But they don't. :thumbup:

Just go with onboard sound then you know you won't have compatibility issues. And a sound card doesn't offer any better sound now-a-days than onboard sound on current MoBo's.

You can customize your labels.lua. It's in your config/view folder. It's simple really. There are directions in the folder on how to do it and it's very customizable. Edit it with Notepad. I use Notepad++. Just back up your original. Here is mine for your viewing pleasure. It displays a black ' symbol for ground objects. At 2000m I display the name of the object. That's it. Make sure your using the centering button for your Track IR. Sit in your normal position and hit F12 button then try leaning forward. It is very important that you center your Track IR view every once in a while as it gets off centered very easily.

I have both and the pro clip works much better when there is interference from other light sources in the background..

Really? And all this time I thought Germany and Russia were small towns in Southern Alabama. This could lead someone to believe that someone feels the DVD version is some how better.

Is the DVD version supposed to perform better than the D/L version? That's the impression I'm getting from this thread. And wouldn't that be pure speculation considering the DVD version isn't even out?

Wrong. In times of economic turmoil sales RIGHT NOW out way what MIGHT happen down the road. But that is irrelevant in this niche market that BS occupies.

Re-mapping some of the key commands in BS does not work. You should just use the defaults. Just map the defaults in your profile set up. Be sure you are mapping the correct buttons - left ctrl, right shift etc. When you edit your X45 profile make sure you save it each time and also enable it with its new mappings before you start BS.

Maybe you should practice a little more flying and look into setting up your controls better before you worry about blowing stuff up. :joystick:

This from the Track IR users manual. Note : When a hotkey is enabled and the Trap setting is checked, the keyboard key assigned to that hotkey action will not be available to any other windows program. If you wish for that keyboard key to be used by other programs, you will need to either re-assign the hotkey to a new keyboard key or disable the Trap setting for it (which means that the key will still perform the hotkey action but will be then passed on to other windows programs).

I set both back to default and both work now. I guess only the default mappings work.
