  1. Thanks for this, i was looking at the version that i saved from the install directory. apparently it was recently updated.. glad to see a new one, i felt there was a lot missing from the one i had been reviewing now i have lots more info to go through I think i did come across this video when i was searching, but i tend to skip over videos without voice over cause i suck at trying to read and watch. I will go back and give it a watch, thanks Also, HeadHunter52 and Eros, thanks for the info, i will be sure to take this into account as i continue to learn this plane.
  2. Did this skin ever get completed? Was the documentary/interview ever get published?
  3. This is what i had always tried I dont think I have tried pushing the stick forward I would always pull back on the stick to bring the nose up, its interesting that pushing forward is what stabilizes it. I have never put the A-10C or anything else into a spinning dive so I never really had to deal with such recovery so it was a bit new to me.. thanks again for the input i will give it a try.
  4. Are you sure? page 116 is a chapter picture, starting the "Normal Procedures" section. I dont see anything in that section on this topic, I also have reviewed (skimmed) the emergency procedures section of the manual before posting, and I didn't see anything there either... again, it was a skim, I admit i may have missed it
  5. Sorry if this has been covered, i had a look around and couldn't find anything really. I have been enjoying DCS jets and 'copters for a while, and even though i bought the P-51 module a while ago im just starting to get into it a bit as a prop plane. One thing i found doing some combat training is that when doing horizontal turn (bank and pull) the plane will sometimes do a snap roll or a torque roll i think its called.. from what i have read I guess I'm getting to aggressive and/or too slow in my turn and the plane just flips over. For the most part if have learn to avoid this but sometimes it still happens. What I'm wondering, is not so much how to avoid cause I think I may have that (more feedback always welcome) but when it happens, I end up in a spiraling nose dive. What is the best/proper way try and recover from this, if its even possible? I notice that right and left aileron input and also increase/decrease of MP does seem to increase or decrease the severity of the spin, but once I'm actually in this spinning dive, I have not been able to actually recover to level flight.
  6. so as i understand it, its basically a Ka-50 with an Apache visual model, is this correct? i only ask for clarification, not trying to diminish the value to imply its a simple thing
  7. torrents have always been what i have used as well, but also there was a patch just released so i have to image this has placed extra load on the systems or at least consumed a lot more bandwidth than on a typical day
  8. I believe this post by Snoopy is your final answer http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2375422&postcount=28
  9. Thanks for clarifying, this was one i really wasn't too sure about.
  10. This video walks you though exactly what i think you are asking about
  11. The beauty came to me the more i learned about it and flew it and understood the design. Its basically like hey, lets take thus effin huge gun and make it fly. It is a bit narly at first, but after so long flying it (virtually) the beast is a beauty. Now im not an expert so im just posting this for clarification. The statement regarding the "T shaped wing" which has been clarified to really have meant "T shaped Antennae" behind the cockpit. I have put the two pictures side by side you can see in the left image the "T shaped antennae" and while hard to see, there is a circular GPS done in front of it, circled in red. On the right image the "I" shaped or straight protruding antennae is there and no GPS dome where the arrow is. It was also stated that in a post that while its shown in the DCS A-10C, the actual final A-10C didn't have the pavepeny pod which is also marked in the left image at the bottom under the cockpit, but you cant see it int he right image as it was from the wrong side. Im not sure if this is fact, again just noting it as it was mentioned. Its also worth clarifying that there is probably a pretty grey line between the A-10A and the A-10C. Its not like a Car where between models the design is finalized and 100K of them are produced. There are a number already in use and they get continually upgraded they dont just start cranking out a ton new planes with the "C Design". So the A-10A transitioned to the C and there are likely to be images showing these transitional states where equipment and parts are on it for testing or as a partial upgrade suite, at least this is my understanding. Anyways, like i said, im NOT an expert, just trying to clarify the previous posts.
