DracoLlasa replied to Stuka's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
great work, cant wait to see this progress -
great video, i was very impressed with the progress shown. it seems just a few weeks ago the Gazelle was just being shown as some 3D art files and here it is almost fully integrated. just not used to that sort of progress around simulators lol great work, hopefully this is one of many modules for you guys

awesome Vid, thanks for sharing!!!

cool, i just know how it gets with long threads, sometimes people dont have the time or energy to read through it all, happens to me all the time, so no negativity meant. i cant wait for the campaign, i have the original and have played it, but will still be in line to try out the updated version and make sure Baltic gets the credit (money) he deserves for all the hard work.
-
a page or so back Baltic stated that its planned to be out before NTTR and the red flag stuff. Check out post 98 But here is what was said. Read through the last couple pages, Baltic is pretty active, giving status about the campaign, testing status and even some info on a teaser/trailer video for the campaign, its worth reading through.

the more we get, the more we want.. for the longest time DCS was limited to just a few hi fidelity aircraft, and i for one am just loving the influx of the additional modules. Im sure each of the developers are working on what they are able to, but you have to admit, no matter what they all do, there will always be 'more' that the community wants. In a way, its a good problem to have, especially if it shows a strong market to bring in new talented studios to make them. The only thing i would say, is that if i had a vote in the matter, i would like to see ED have some sort of long term list of modules on a 5 year road map or so that would provide counter paired aircraft (eg Mig 15/Sabre, F-15/Su-27. Then working with the developers to see if they can handle any of them. As a second item that im sure many have brought up would be taking the some standalone FC3 modules and moving them to full DCS level hi-fi modules would be a great start. If you want the more simple model get FC3. But then create the DCS: F-15, DCS: Su-27, DCS: MiG-29. I know its never a simple task, but at current there are really good flight models in place, the 3d models are all updated for inside an out, so at least it wouldn't be starting from scratch to create a set of new DCS level modules for some very popular aircraft that im sure tons of people would be willing to pay for. Anyways, I love all the new stuff coming, and as such im not going to be complaining too much about what we dont have, and try and enjoy what we do have and are hoping to be getting soon. -
its an indicator that there are chat messages, if you click it, it will show the messages. im not sure it can be removed, but it also has nothing to do with this topic/thread, so if there are further questions please post a new thread

Thats hard to pick just one. Regarding Vehicles, i would say that 4th generation, multirole fighters New helicopters, like attack helos, we have some good utility helos, but we need more 'modern' attack helos Then regarding 'other' i would say Dynamic campaign system Then maybe New and improved air traffic control system, but DCS 2.0 may cover this for me.

the xx_protect.exe DRM applications are in the bin folder for each module you have. for FC3 i have the exact path and file name above int he 'spoiler" If you are still not able to find it, then you may need to reinstall and/or reach out to ED Support

great news, glad you were able to get things sorted out
-
cool thanks, i was just noting that i didnt see it official, but thanks for confirming
-
+1 would allow for better third party app interfaces to bring apps and tools to provide better immersion
-
I read that too, but im sure it was on the forums here and not something official. But regardless, depending on how much bonus $$ people have, 50% is pretty good. The more common 60% discounts still may come, but if there is to be a limit, i bet its those occasional 70% off runs we wont see as often

from what i understand what you have to do is login with the account that owns the key(s). Then pull up your profile and do a license check for the key, when it comes up there will be a field at the top that says "Bind to another user with login" Enter the account you want to own the key then press the "bind" button. Doing this you should be able to bind all of the keys to just one of your accounts. If you are not able to to do this yourself, or for whatever reason dont have proper access to one of the other accounts, it would probably be best to just open a support ticket with ED directly so they can validate your identity properly and help consolidate the keys for you.
-
yea, its actually not a bad deal for those that can benefit from it, and i'm personally grateful for any deal we can benefit from in general, ED is in no way obligated to drop the price of its products, especially not as often as they tend to do. hopefully in the future they are able re-evaluate the loyalty program so that those that have made the larger investments can be rewarded more evenly.
-
The bonus allow you to cover 50% of the actual price of the AC And i agree with others, if you can earn bonus on a purchase you should be able to spend bonus on the same, that said, i still feel the whole system needs a re-eval. But to your question, the offer right now is that you can use whatever bonus you have to cover up to 50% of the cost of a product/module.
-
i think the offer was a good gesture and i was happy for it, that said i agree bonus program for customer loyalty needs rework. I had purchased almost all of my modules during sales (dont earn bonus), i was just lucky to have purchased the recent NTTR and M2000C pre-orders, which gave me a bit of bonus $, it was actually just enough to use this offer to get the last module i needed, the L-39C. so i now again have all the modules, but unlike others that might have lots of bonus, i am with none, even with owning everything. Any way, like i said, the offer worked in my favor, and i always appreciate sales and offers, ED is always so generous with their sales. I would like to see something a bit more consistent for the loyal customers that have have made large investments in DCS Word as a platform (investment can be seen in other ways than just money if you want to be open about it).

awesome, glad it seems to be working for many ppl
-
yes, there is a change that has to be made. the mod has two main folders you will be adding Texture Old Path: Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures Texture New Path: Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Cockpit\Textures The second folder remains unchanged. This folder structure applies to all of the aircraft in 1.5, so any mods that change the cockpit such as language mods or similar will follow the new directory structure Hope this helps

glad that fix worked for you, i have posted a more formal "fix" thread for others if they want the full details without reading all over the place - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=149858

Hello everyone, After reading a number of posts some conversations and troubleshooting, it seems we may have the root cause to many peoples issues logging in to the new DCS 1.5 Open Beta. Many users that were single player users may have never run into this as it only showed up when trying to load DCS MP in v1.2. First off its known that the DCS v1.5 login system doesn't seem to like special characters in your password, so if needed change your password so there are only numbers and letters. Aside from this i found many people continue to have login issues. With some research on my own issue and some other feedback, while there are some work around that may help, it appears a more common cause to be related to module license keys being either incorrect or registered to more than one account. When you log into DCS World 1.5 it will do a check on every module and license, if you have 10 modules and one of those has a key that is bound to a different user account, you will get a logon failed message that basically states invalid username or password. In order to validate this if this is the case, go into DCS Open Beta and remove modules one by one... uninstall module, launch DCS 1.5 login when it finally works you have found the offending module and can then review the process here to resolve it. Open Spoiler for full process If this works for you or does not, please post so we can confirm its truly solved. If it seems its not a true fix, then i will edit the post to remove the solved label or possibly the mods will just delete it, whichever works, but regardless your feedback will be needed.
