  1. I had a similar problem: I was and still am not able to contact GCI in any of the official missions like campaign or single missions. However in my own custom missions, I can. There is a sort of "fix" for this, you can make sure that the AWAC plane has waypoints and it's on 124 mhz, but even after editing the campaign missions, I still can't talk to GCI.
  2. nice work! Still a 2014 release?
  3. Flick on all the switches on the overhead panel on and make sure the one 2nd from the right is set to "special." -Turn on the switch behind the stick with the thin red bar across it (i forget the name) -all the green lights should be on on the overhead panel if the bomb is ready to drop -press the weapon release button on the left side of the stick
  4. You know you have played too much DCS MiG-21 when you want to look behind you so you lean back and look up to find your periscope...
  5. What country are you in, Master? I paid $60 ish New Zealand for my MiG, because it converts it into your country's money. That amount here is the same as the $49.99 USD it is labelled as. What is problem with paying American dollar anyway, it's not like if you don't buy it you can defeat the illuminati....
  6. FAB just simple HE bomb, not designed for killing tanks. I don't know which MiG-21 weapons is most suited to killing heavy tanks, but M-1 Abrams don't seem to like KH-66 very much!
  7. I've used the same TrackIR for about 6 years and never had a problem with it.
  8. I am going to have to try and kill an A-10 with this, it will feel so amazing when I do :megalol:
  9. This is a very good point, we could turn it on in replay tracks too see where we went wrong!
  10. has anyone tried landing with a full load of bombs and full fuel? I always at least break the tyres when I do this, but I have no trouble landing it with AA missiles on. I think, maybe MiG-21 is not designed to land with many bombs?
  11. Thanks for explaining it!
  12. Would it be a requirement to have an axis for brakes with the realistic setting?
  13. wow, I am amazed! Have you tried it in the MiG-21?
  14. no because this does not help newcomers to learn the aircraft, but visible radar box does.
  15. sue him for kopyrite m8
  16. I did not know this.. you should make a vote)
  17. Thanks man !
  18. IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad has not as many players as 1946, but much nicer graphically and no need to spend hours getting mods set up. BOS has very good damage model, sounds, and flight model if that is what you are looking for.
  19. I don't do it myself but I think if you set the Su-27 you want to fly to the BLUE side (same team as America), EG. Ukraine (or you can make RUS blue in the editor), then the communication will be in English :) Cockpit language just changes the language of the writing in the cockpit, and the voice of the computer warning systems like EKRAN in Ka-50. ("Watch EKRAN" vs "Смотреть EKRAN")
  20. :noexpression: Man I cannot understand your posts very well.... it is like you agree with me but disagree at the same time..... guess I need to work on my English more :)
  21. I cannot, for the life of me, get the AWACS to respond to me in the SP missions. I tried all the channels, including channel 0, but nothing. In the briefing for every of the single missions it says "contact AWACS on channel 0" but nothing happens when I ask them for info. Is is because in all the practice missions, there is AWACS jet instead of Ground radar for GCI? Os is it because you play as American USA MiG-21 but the MiG-21 can only talk to Russian Radar? Thanks ) EDIT - One more thing: what does it mean when the mission says "target x is near waypoint 3, at 4000m." But there are no waypoints in the MiG-21? I just use RSBN to navigate since I know where all the bases are by heart..... lol. I can also not find this information on the Kneeboard either, but maybe im using wrong key commands.
  22. MiG-21 designed as interceptor and takes less than 60 seconds to go from cold to taxiing, I don't think it would need groundpower..... I have never needed it....
  23. Did you try the R-60A? I cannot notice difference between M and A, but I am sure there is one
  24. It's only good for strafing soft targets in the Mi-8 like truck convoy, I think in MiG-21 rockets or UPK would be better.
