  1. Thanks for the comments guys! It's still a little rough but over the next few months I expect to see it get smoother and smoother as we get more time in the sim :)
  2. VIRTUAL HORSEMEN FIRST VIDEO TEASER Some early tests, not perfect, not smooth, but we're improving.

  4. 3 years ago (well before I got a hair cut :P )
  5. Great! I was lucky enough to sit in the cockpit of Big Beautiful Doll at Duxford in 2009 when the Horsemen came over. Will be very cool to fly this one in game :) One small thing, and I know I am a nit picker. Shouldn't the Anti Glare panel green and not black?
  6. Cheers Ivan :) Just a small heads up: We hope to have a video out this weekend of our first few flights in DCS. It will show myself and Skyhawk flying as our right wing is not able to run DCS yet, but hopefuly that will be rectified soon. :)
  7. Tonight is our official training night, your best off trying to get us Fri/Sat/Sun as we have more free time :)
  8. Well, If we fly and it's not an official training, our server will be public so feel free to pop in a fly with us :)
  9. No pro mate, just a guy who's done it for a while... On a side note, I've never used padlocking in any sim, just the good old hat switch
  10. xD leafer, the general consensus was that I can't crash into the guy infront if there's nobody there... :P On a serious not I did use Track IR for a few months in 2010 and I found it to be fantastic (both on wing and in lead). Unfortunately, mine got damaged in a move and I never replaced it. It's a fantastic piece of kit which I will be getting again this year. I learnt to fly formation without it, spent 4 years flying right wing without it and did just fine. Having Track IR doesn't make you a better or worse pilot, it's just about what you get used to. It's unusual to adapt to at first, but after a while you get used to it and really start to appreciate the benefits. So, is it worth it? Yes. Is it essential? No.
  11. I've flown aerobatics for 7 years, lead the Virtual Horsemen for 3 years and I don't use Track IR. It's not a must, but it is very nice ;)
  12. Thanks for the reply Ogreman, it's a great thrill flying formation in this bird. Here's one more shot (This time showing the High speed pass), as myself and Skyhawk go low and fast over the field.
  13. Cheers mate :)
  14. Started to experiment with the textures. I've never touched DDS or Specular textures before so it's all a big learning curve, but I've used photoshop for a long time so I guess that helped. Anyway, First couple of results:
  15. Also looking forward to the template so I can start painting all of the Horsemen's Mustangs :)
  16. Ah Winnie! One we will definitely use in the Virtual Horsemen :)
  17. As we move into DCS, we are going to be looking for new members to join the team. We are looking for a permanent Streamer and a Narrator. With the far more advanced camera features available in the new sim, the quality of the stream and narration is going to become a huge part of our show. We are a Europe based team and therefore we must be sure that members are able to train during European evenings. If you're interested, please leave a message here or message one of the team members privately.
  18. Ah cool, I always loved Mustang Convertibles! (Preferably of the Ford variant though ;) )
  19. Don't you need that spinny thing at the front? Must be where I'm going wrong!
  20. Brilliant Nate, thank you!
  21. What stick do you have Nate? I will try out your settings with my X-52
  22. Thanks Nate, I'll give that a try when I get back home tomorrow night :)
  23. Hey guys, I'm kinda new to the whole activations thing... After seeing my system struggle to run the Beta, I've been out ad purchased a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, 8GBs of RAM and a new Hard drive (Just for ease of install and more storage space). Is there a way I can disable my current activation so that I retain all my 10 activations? I will be installing Windows 7 this weekend and will reinstall DCS after. It's no big issue if I can't, but Ideally I would like to keep all 10 Just in case...
  24. Cheers Sobek, I'll try it out :)
  25. I've gotta say, I love the attitude of the devs here... prepared to listen to suggestions, problems and ideas. And the philosophy of "It will be done when it's ready and we wont be pushed into it!" It's great to see this much dedication to getting it right and not just "Hey, lets make some money!"
