  1. Its there in mission editor. Working normally. In ME, drop an aircraft, or select existing, and go to stores and fuel tab. Its the cruciform bomb icon.
  2. Did a fresh installation of DCS World Release version, from download. Went OK, except Clean Up app froze(?) but no ill effects yet. All paid modules appear to be present. However controller profiles from 2.5 Beta do not load .Leaving no choice but fresh programming Controls tab. Any tip would be appreciated. Thank you. Rig specs; I7-3770K, 32gb ram, Quadro P2000 5GB, X56+TM Rudder, 27" 2560X1440 Q series panel., 2 X 1920X1080 panels. Center panel for DCS, side panel for Aviation Calculator . Avg. FPS 78-100
  3. So does 2.5 Beta automatically patches itself to release 2.5 version? "Cause my 2.5.0.15365 Beta checks for updates but finds none. My internet works fine, thank you. What is the Release version build number? Thank you.
  4. LUA script or utility to out TRACK channels as plain text. I really dont have aright to ask anyone, but I was wondering if any has ever written a LUA script or utility that can output a chanell as plain text. Specifically I would like to export recorded FPS as a plain text. That text can then be brought into any math app, or 3D app, to display a graph of FPS in a mission, and an average.
  5. All of a sudden all geometry has disappeared. In Georgia. This just popped up in UH-1H. Sim starts, there is sound, view port navigation works, commands work. But there is only blue sea. no helo, no terrain, no trees. ????
  6. I meant source for confirmation of F-111F by HeatBlur. It escapes me. There is nothing on their site except Viggen and F-14
  7. Regardless of how much money you may have to invest, a lot of actual 'real' information as to flight models and systems are classified. Even from 1960's research. An example is reduced boom supersonic cone design. Used by both Soviet Russian and Americans. Look at nose cone of F-111F/G, TU-22M, B-1B,F-15C, SU-27, SU-34, and F-16C/D. From front F-111F SU-34, and TU-22 look very similar, in the nose to cockpit glass section. Notice the slightup curve on ventral front of nose cone. Result of NASA research, though TSZAGI may argue the point. May have been discovered independently. Allows for quieter low level supersonic flight. However some systems, available on word defense market, are more open. They allow classified modifications at end user level. I would invest in development of simulation expansion product. Asset pack of sensors and weapons, that can be added to existing simulation products. Like the Garmin GPS add-in to MI-8 in DCS. My personal desire list is to turn third or simpler 4th gen aircraft to have sensors and weapons of 4.5gen. F-5E ECM and expanded chaff/flare system for F-5E. Systems were developed in 1980's and 1990's for various F-5 modernization programs. PANTERA FLIR/T pod for F-5E. An export version of Sniper targeting pod. EGI (embedded GPS navigation) subsystem, podded or not, for F-5E for nav and weapons delivery. MFD display for F-5E for nav and weapons delivery. Expanded weapons carriage for F-5E allowing AGM-65D/H/E/K/G, GBU-38 JDAM, various external cannon pods for 30mm APDS, SeaEagle anti-ship missile, Kormorant anti-ship missile. PGU-28/B 20mm ammunition for Colt MK-39 cannons. InFlight refueling probe (retractable) for F-5E. Mig-21Bis Various Israeli ElBit and IAI systems to bring Mif-21Bis up to Romanian AF and InAF Mig-21Bison standard, HMQ NVG helmet, and Link16 I/O to allow NATO/Western weapons carry. Above systems allow carriage of R-73M/M1, R-24 family, R-77 family, AIM-9P/P5/M/X(?), Python family SRAAM, Derby MRAAM, AIM-120A/B/C/D, MK series bombs, JDAM, JSOW, SeaEagle ASM, Kormorant ASM, various Israeli AG weapons, EGI embedded GPS nav and weapons delivery avionics, expanded ECM and countermeasures carriage, inflight refueling probe. IAI ELBIT systems for F-4E (upcoming) to bring to F-4E Terminator2000 capability. Used in Israeli and Turkish F-4's. IAF F-4 is retired. Turkish AF is reconnaissance only. Both were combat coded in 1990's and early 2000's. Theaters. I would invest in diverse interesting theaters. Singapore/Straights Of Mallaca theater. Objectives: Red: Gain control of Straight of Mallaca. Blue: Keep Straight open. Naval , amphibious, air-sea-land warfare. SriLanka theater. Red goal: Expand control of SriLanka and Palk Straight. Deny access to opponent . Blue: Expell opponent from SriLanka and gain control of Palk Straight. India + allies vs. China + allies. Taiwan and Taiwan Straights theater. PRC vs. ROC. With attendant allies. Red goal: Attain control of Taiwan Straights, Island of Taiwan, Pengue Island chain, and East China Sea. East China Sea and Ryoko(Okinawa) Island chain. PRC vs. Japan. With attendant allied participants. Red goal: Gain control of East China Sea between Islands of Yunaguni and Yakushima. War at sea, littoral waters combat, amphibious Air-Land-Sea warfare. Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict. Icelandic theater. RussFed vs. NATO in GUIK gap. Red goal: Gain control of Iceland and GUIK Gap or deny usage of GUIK to NATO. Blue goal: Retain sovereignty of Iceland, or liberate it from Russian occupation. Deny forces of RF usage of GUIK gap. No usage of unconventional weapons. Baltic Firestorm: Wartime implementation of NATO warplan Baltic Dragon (peacetime deterrence mission), designated Operation:Firestorm. RF vs. NATO. Red goal: gain control of Baltic Sea, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and limited control zone in Poland. No usage of special weapons. Caribbean Crucible: Operation Crucible . Liberate islands of Aruba.Curracau, and Nation of Guyana from Venezuelan occupation. Aleutians theater. RF, China +allies, vs. US and NATO allies. NATO Article 5 scenario. Red: Gain an prevent recovery of Aleutian Island chain, Bering Sea, Bering Straights, and Chukchi Sea. Blue: Retain or regain control of Aleutians, keep Bering Sea, Bering Straight, and Chukchi Sea open to freedom of the seas navigation. Aegean Sea theater. Greece vs. Turkey.
  8. F-111F confirmed!? What is your source? If so, thats awesome, but Heat Blur is kind of small. They have Viggen, F-14 A/B. F-111F is a complex air system. I love the type. With modernization it could serve today, and would likely outbomb SU-34 and F/A-18E/F six times per week and twice on sunday. During Desert Storm, F-111Fs were chosen to drop giant GBU-28 massive penetrators, beating out newer F-15E (unproven in 1991) to put Saddam's facilities out of business.
  9. I am sure someone can do a mod replacing Tarawa with Hermes, Ocean, Illustrious. I am sure you checked out vids on YT on 1960's and 1970's RNFAA fast jet carrier ops. I am in awe how small British carriers were, and the skill and professionalism required from RNFAA aviators to bring F4, Buccaneer, and SeaVixen back on board. Yes, I am not forgetting Gannet crews. There are vids of USN S-2 Tracker, A-3, and A-4 operating of small CVA's like U.S.S. Oriskany. A-3 just looks like the size of 737 coming aboard a CVA. RA-5 also looks huge coming aboard. Like landing SR-71 on a general aviation airfield built for Cessnas. Most interesting are USMC operating OV-1D Broncoes , taking off without catapult, and landing without hook and wire, just using gear brakes and reversing prop pitch. A-4M , and OV-1D would be sweet modules, as long as they include late life night operations equipment.
  10. Nice. I am stoked. I just got my new GPU, and my rig now rocks at 2560X1440 from 70-100 fps. No tears, very rare stutter pause with Georgia winter . and NTTR is butter smooth. My slowest module, Mig-21Bis is 75-78 fps avg. My fastest is F-5E in 80 and 90's. So I figure I can now get another high fidelity module. Curious , does AV-8B N/A comes with non USMC skins. Specifically Spanish Armada, Italian Marina Militaria, India, Thailand, and of course RAF and RNFAA. Obviously RNFAA did not use AB-8B N/A, but one of the GRs were equivalent. Have you , or anyone reading this, T/O and land on FARP pads?
  11. Using Kuz's ramp for AV-8B assisted take off? Does the module allow such cross-decking? As unlikely as it would be in RW. Can AI AV-8s T/O from Kuz and recover there?
  12. Kind of happy. Replaced my old Quadro with new Quadro P2000 5GB. Getting 70-90 FPS in Caucasus and pushing 100 FPS in NTTR with following rig. Wanted to slide P4000, or 1070Ti. But my power supply cannot handle. CPU: I7-3770K GPU: PNY Quadro P2000 388.16 driver rev. RAM: 32gb 2560X1440 1 screen for DCS. System has 3 panels. 2560X1440 primary panel and two 1920X1080 panels on side. Textures: High Terrain Tex: High Civ. Traffic: med Vis Range: High Heat Blur: Low Shadows: Med Res: 2560X1440 1 Screen 16:9 Res. of Pit Displays: 512 MSAA: OFF DOF: OFF Lens FX: Dirt+Flare HDR: OFF Deffered Shading : ON Anisotropic Filter: OFF Terrain Obj. 13. Deleciously, an F-111F is listed in AC asset options , under airfield full info. But F-111F is not a model in Encyclopedia. Nor is it available as AI aircraft with any nation. USA and Australia specifically, but I beleive I checked all of them. Is it actually available.
  14. No, its a mission put together in mission editor, but without any manual scripting. Just placement of icon units. I get those sometime, most often, in my case, if I simply take a long time to put the mission together, or leave the ME open with a mission a long time. Other cases, more rare, is when I make changes to missions, after certain amount of edits, the mission file goes bad, and nothing I can do to rescue it. It either crashes on start or works badly and freezes. Thus far I fail to see a common thread,as to cause.
  15. What does this mean? [string `op`]:1: `=`expected near `<eof>`
  16. Damn! It would be nice to have CCIP/CCRP delivery avionics in DCS: F-5E. Manual DEPR sight is OK for rockets and guns. But bombs really do need CCIP pipper.
  17. Taxi to re-arm point. Ask for chocks, ground electric power, and air supply. But do not ask them to apply it yet. Shut down the engines, reset fuel cutoff valves (OFF/ON), and turn off fuel pumps. Ask ground crew to offload all fuel, all weapons, and tanks. After they are done. Ask ground crew to re-load the tanks and desired ordnance. Turn ON fuel pumps and follow engine start up. Remember to ask ground crew to remove chalks and ground electric power, before rolling.
  18. I ran a quick start Intercept mission. My two Fox2's miss part of the missiles worked phenomenaly well. Plus I can confirm that TU-95's tail guns work just fine. So heres me fighting in a hurt F-5E, with no radar, no speed instrument, no speed breaks, no radios, and the ship all shot up, with a bloody strut stuck out into airstream just to help with aerodynamics. The elevators were hurt, and a/c wanted to shake and roll. Its nose wanted point in every direction except where I wanted it too. Somehow, with luck, the TU-95 caught a streams of my shells. I just held down the trigger, while slightly wiggling rudder and stick to get some dispersion. With mission accomplished I was not flying for myself. Brought to approach to Senkhaki. I had flaps (hooray), no breaks, no gear, no speed, altimeter on pneumatic, meaning my generators were OTL, no comms. Slowed down to 160 knots at threshhold, at 5' above runway popped drag chute. Then it was a ride, with no control. Set a personal record of engine shutdown (10 seconds), and fuel cutoff. The little bugger fought, my F-5E, fought hurt like a champ. I don't think an properly simulated F-16 with that much damage could continue to fight and come back. I hate ejections, even in simulators. It feels like a mission fail. F-5E_shotUp2crp_recovery.trk
  19. Is there a util that extracts DCS aircraft geometry, and saves it as OBJ file, or another industry std format. I'd like to bring their geo into Mudbox. Instead of just painting textures in Photoshop.
  20. OK, I just had an amazing performance increase and I did not do anything except.. Still my legacy I7-3770K, K4000. etc.. All I did is change resolution from 2560X1440 to 1920X1080, keeping shadows, deferred shading, default terrain object shadows, trees at 60%. vis to Medium. My FPS jumped to avg 36 in NTTR with 45 FPS high. and 28 FPS in Caucass with 36 FPS high. I can live with that.
  21. Agree on cockpit at night. It could use more illumination. Agree on lack of light islands on cities at night. I've been to Nevada High Desert, and Ft. Irwin, and at night, the area is really dark. Moonlight interacts slightly differently with various minerals on surface, and that is what gives terrain appearance of dark areas with slightly brighter areas. Once a person's eyes adjust to night, the differences in albedo, gives terrain features . ED has done a really good job in 2.5 with Deffered Shading engine of capturing those details in their texture maps. Check out that mission I uploaded. Do it with Deffered Shading ON and Gamma to 1.5 or 1.8. As far as I know, military airfields have more subdued lighting. Reason is that bright runway and taxi lights will interfere with crew's MK1 night vision. They have to train at night over military reservation terrain that is mostly free of man made structures with lights. During combat operations , at night, lights are even more subdued or off. So approaching Nellis or Creech or Tonopah at night, without moonlight, runway and taxi lights are dimmer. Thus , to me, airfield lighting at Nellis, Creech, Groom Lake, and Tonopah, in DCS 2.5 is appropriate. Photographs were mentioned for reference. Those are photos and camera footage with controlled exposure, and image manipulation, so the resulting images are vibrant. I think of that as fast food burger photos. There is dramatic representation, and then there is reality. What stumped me in DCS 2.5 A-10C,is pilots night vision device. Operating aircraft safely, even in sim, in pitch dark and a large hole in middle of screen for light intensification image, with feathered border where cockpit is out of focus, is disorienting. I am training myself to be proficient with it.
  22. 2.5.0.15365 Update is really good ! Thus far, at least. The FPS performance in Georgia with Deffered Shading and Medium vis range and trees , have really risen. Slight improvement in NTTR. There is one tiny bit. Songalung runway direction markings are inverted. Runway 14 marking at threshhold of runway 32, and vice versa. So thank ED team, great job! Keep it coming.
  23. 2.5.0.15365 Update is really good ! Tried to buy, online, through Nvidia Shop , TigerDirect, PCMall, and Newegg GTX 1060 (Turbo single fan) 6GB base version. Could not do it. Out of stock! Now my new wkstation is also delayed on account of , thats right. You guessed it. GPU shortage. Everybody and their pet cat are cryptomining, and it appears that game boards from Nvidia and AMD have optimized designs for cryptomining. Even the Quadro stockpile got raided. There's a cashcow that neither Nvidia nor AMD saw. So if you have a good GPU, don't sell it, don't ebay it. Hold on to it as you would your newborn. Don't OC. If it dies, you may spend much more then MSRP getting a replacement.
  24. Right. In your case GTX 1080 is giving you your high frame rate. Hopefully P4K, once it arrives, will give that. I have Keppler architecture GPU, which is only may be 25%-30% faster , perhaps less depending on application, then Fermi architecture. Unfortunately, my current rig, a legacy platform, has PCI-X 2.0 , and 400 watt(maybe) power supply. 1070Ti, 1080, 1080Ti, TitanXp all require power supplies that start, at minimum, at 600 watts. Two 1080Ti or two P4000 running in SLI require 850 or more watt power supply. So I cannot upgrade my current rig without effectively rebuilding it, and I see no reason for that. My mainboard is IvyBridge and I7-3770K is fastest CPU it can take. PCI-X 2.0 may, in likelyhood, prevent any GPU with PCI-X 3.0 bus, from operating at its maximum performance. Memory is maxed out, and power supply is 400 watt proprietary (HP). I am exploring a possiblity of replacing K4000 with either GTX 1060 or Quadro P2000. Those boards are highest that my rig can power, and PCI-X step down from 3 to 2 is un unknown quantity .
  25. I turned off AA, aniso filter . I need to wait until the my new rig arrives. That one is XEON W-2125, 64gb ram, Quadro P4000. It will run 2560X1440 panel and one 1920X1080 panel. Both are Q series gaming and graphics panels. I know my current is dated, that is why new one is incoming. Just for heck of it, I set settings as follows; Textures: High Terrain Textures: High Civ. Traffic: Med Visibility Range: Med Heat Blur: low Shadows: flat only Resolution: 2560X1440 Aspect: 1.778 Monitors: 1 Res. of Cockpit Displays: 512 MSAA: 0 DOF: OFF Lens Effect: Flare+ Dirt HDR: Off Deffered Shading: ON Anisotropic filter: OFF Terrain Shadows: Flat Cockpit GI: OFF Clutter/Grass: 0 Trees Visibility: 30% Preload Radius: 100000 Smoke density: 1 Gamma: 1.4 Disable Aero : ON Vsync: off Full Screen : ON Scale GUI: OFF Observed FPS with current rig. I-3770K, 32gb ram, Quadro K4000. 14-24 fps in Georgia, 16-25 in NTTR. To get 48-60 FPS with the new rig, the performance of DCS 2.5 would have to be 2X (200%) better overall. I I expect 2X maybe 3X performance increase, and that is excellent. So I can expect 48-60 with DCS 2.5 at the settings above . About average performance with a way above average system. The single biggest FPS drag in those config is trees with Deffered Shade. Civ. traffic at low or med has no impact on my FPS, but non-flat shadows do. With P4000 I should get either 1070, 1070Ti or 1080 FPS. I doubt that P4000 could give same FPS as 1080Ti or TitanXp. BTW, new TitanV (Volta) has really bad DX11/12 performance, and marginal OpenCL. Compared to 1080Ti, and TitanXP. The thought is that drivers for Volta (Quadro) and Ampere (game) are not there yet.
