Campaaaaign... Must... Finish... Campaign... Caaaaaampaign...:bored: :D Hub. PS : we are through the first 16 missions... We only need to play the campaign a couple of time and we should be good for release... The other 12 missions will be incorporated later... And it's amazing the time necessary to do something a bit original...

TAS indicator in Su-27 and Su-33
HubMan replied to 4c Hajduk Veljko's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
You should use the mach number then : in LO the ground speed for two aircraft flying the same mach at different altitude will be almost the same :) Hub -
:megalol: Hub. PS : Thanks for your help :) About bpao, as I told you in MP, we are already in contact with him :)

Me or BarbsMan (I'm not sure he is registered on this forum, you can find him and me on : http://www.checksix-forums.com or http://www.ada-mod.org/adamod/forum) :) And don't tell me you have friends modding Jaguars for SFP1, that just would be... GREAT :D Hub.

Hi guys :) Replacing one of the Su-25 by the Jaguar has been one of our dream present on the "to-do" list for a while :) The main problem is finding a usable decent 3D model, as we do not have enough time to create one from scratch. We spent quite a while looking for a not too expensive commercial alternative, but we still haven't find something we could use : - most of the models have a too high poly count (+60 000), and reducing the polygon number is a very big work, almost as long as doing the model from scratch - most of the models can be used freely for animations or movies, but the license does not say anything about computer games. It's very specific and I'm afraid, we will run into legal issues if we do not approach the problem carefully. We really wish we could get some helped from the people that already modelized the Jaguar for another game like SFP1, that just would be the perfect and fastest way to have it integrated in the game... :) Cheers :) Hub.

On the screenshots, the green fat missiles are AASM ie A/G french missiles more or less like a hybrid of Maverick and JDAM. For A/A, the MiG-35 carries the same weapons than the Su-30 :) Cheers :) Hub.

Hi X_Man :) - no workaround found (at least until now) for the warning tones :( - no work on the CVN planned until the V2.0 and the new 3D models (including the Rafale) :) Hub.
-
Yes :) And what's good is that the weight, thrust, and turn rate of the Su-30 make out of it a quite "believable" MiG-35 from a flight performances perpective : the "feeling" is definitly there, especially when you see the small MiG reaching an unusual AoA and pointing his nose at you, before firing a couple of missiles... In addition to that, the "MiG-35" is now flyable (no RWR sound alert though) : it would have been a shame to keep it AI only... :D Cheers :) Hub.

Su-30MKI skins are used for the AdA Mod Su-30 that replaces the Su-27. As all the "real" MiG-29 were replaced by AdA Mod Mirages, replacing the "real" Su-30 by the "AdA Mod" MiG-35 was the only way we had to still have an aircraft from the Fulcrum family in the game :) Cheers :) Hub. PS : the Release Candidate is out The_GOZR :) The mod should go public at the beginning of the next week :)
-
It replaces the Su-30 actually !!! :D Oooch, gonna hurt... ;) :D Hub.
-
Maybe :) MiG-35 will be a tough opponent though... :D Hub.

Not in the Version 1.0 coming after this week end as the model is still "work in progress" :) But yes, the Rafale M will be included in the v2.0 :) Hub.
-
Hi guys :) There is a 95% probability that the AdA Mod will be released after the week end to come :) Of course, there is still 5% that the Mod will be released in "two more weeks" :D Cheers :) Hub.
-
Hi Colt40Five :) Depends what you call "huge" :) If its the size in Mo, the mod is around ~50Mo and the high res skin pack is another ~50Mo :) But the Rafale is not included yet :) Cheers :) Hub.

Thanks for the update Az' :) And a little "graphical" illustration of the work in progress : Cheers :) Hub.

Thanks FWT :) Hub.

Would you PAY the People Working on the Ground Texture Mods?
HubMan replied to Boneski's topic in DCS Modding
Hi Boneski :) I'm afraid, that for the modders :" offering their work for a fee does break the End User License…" Just have a look there at the thread : According to EULA it is Illegal to place Mods for LOMAC on Websites? Using a "donate" button is tolerated by ED, selling a product is something different... In all the cases, all the guys I heard of, that put a "donate" function on their website, even for mods that were really successfull, never made enough money to buy more than a couple of drinks for them and their friends in a pub... :) The "donate" option is a nice way to thank people that did something you really appreciate, but is often disappointing as it is an impossible battle against human selfishness... :) And personnaly, modding for me is about a community sharing a hobby, helping each other and trying to help to build a better game... Not about making money... :D I'm spending my life in a really material world and job all day long, I like the idea of doing something different of my free time... :) Cheers Hub. -
A little update on the AdA Mod project : the MiG-29 is back as a "MiG-35" replacing the "standard" Su-30, new Magic missile with wing pylons has been added for air / ground payloads only, a high resolution skin pack is available and a couple of bugs were smashed in the process. (we will get rid of the two pylons located between the engines, as the MiG-35 only has 8/9 pylons, but it looked too good on the screenshots not to be enjoyed a little bit before cleaning..) Cheers :) Hub. PS : skins with a better weathering by Cpt Stark are under way, and most of our efforts now are dedicated to write missions briefings and tune their difficulty (mission #3 as example, was "tuned down" as being a bit too hardcore) :) PPS : thanks a lot for your support gents :)

Great job Lotham, like always  Hub. -
If I remember correctly, laser guided missiles like the Laser version of the Maverick are functionnal, but it is almost impossible to use laser guided bombs, because the gimball limit of the illuminator is way to small and you can't laze until the bomb impacts on the ground :) Cheers :) Hub.

Very nice :) Very good idea :) Hub.

Hi guys :) Just a little correctin : you don't need to have the targets designated in the editor :) Cheers :) Hub.
