Likewise! Same problem here....
-
You are not alone! I too have the same issue. Ironically when I went to install UH1-H I was told I needed to update DCS World to 1.2.4 which was done....only to encounter the same problem you have....

usb touch screens - should be fine. G'day cgjimeneza, Short answer is yes - it should work. As long as your usb touch screen works under the your operating system, there's nothing special about DCS that limits USB monitors - at least not that I'm aware of. I'm running four touch screens fir DCS (two as MFCDs, one for UFC and Radio stack, with the forth used for CDU.). I'm running a single 24" monitor. Have a look at the attached screen shot - shows all 5 monitors - monitors 2 to 5 are USB 8 inch Lilliput. I can't speak for the monitor you are looking at but is should be fine. All the best. Pete

A Russian Betty? (Bettyoffski?) I'm please I'm not wasting drive space on langagues that are not in context of the version I purchased. A mod file is a useful solution. Of course you could have purchased the Russian version of the game....Заткнись Бетти! Заткнись!

Not sure if my problem was the same as yours...but I fixed my issue by finding the latest versions of all the modules - CA, BS2 P51D and A10 - that seemed to sort that particular problem for me...try and update all your DCS content before trying the DCS World patch...hope this helps...

Such is life.......Oh the joys of software! Yeah - I know what you mean! Still that's beta for you!

Fatal Error: Can't process CombinedArms_protect.exe
KiwiPete replied to E61-v1T1's topic in Game Crash
Me to - no joy as yet.... I also get this. Uninstalled all previous DCS stuff, and reinstalled DSC:World - latest version. that works okay - but adding CA kills DCS world :( i7 Sandybridge, GTX 580, 20 GB ram (don't ask!) and Windows 7 fresh install (as of last week - getting the machine ready for CA...oh the irony of it all ) EDIT: - Renaming the install folder to DCS World 120 worked - don't forget to update shortcuts etc! I did have 7 windows updates pending as well so applied them and restarted - just sayin! -
High demand? G'day Wichid, yeah I struggled at midday - so you are not alone - but got there in the end... downloads very slow today (particulary here in South Taranaki!):music_whistling: Good luck!

DCS: Combined Arms Pre-Purchase / Open Beta Available
KiwiPete replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
High traffic? ...er, it looks like it might be high traffic and not a browser issue...seems different folks had the same problem with different browsers - I struggled with IE this afternoon but was soon okay - and this evening the DCS: World updates take forever to download - a busy day for ED servers!:D -
DCS: Combined Arms Pre-Purchase / Open Beta Available
KiwiPete replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
Update DCS: World I suspect you will need to update DCS: World to the latest version. I'll be trying that this evening :) Happy hunting! :joystick: -
You mean there was an English version! You mean they had other language options for BS1! Great I'm fluent in English and Bad English....:)

When it become available for download?
KiwiPete replied to 71st_Mastiff's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
:(Ouch - puts things in perspective. Yes it is only a game - hope to see you online sometime for a bit of fun! In the meantime I've given you inbound rep to help ease the pain of that loss. Good hunting! -
FC3 = "simplified" franchise while DCS = "Advanced"?...hmmm... maybe. I brought FC2 and have hardly touched it due to it's too two dementional cockpit. I'm investing my time into DCS at the moment - I'd like to see more complexity in FC3 (or fast movers in DCS) and would be willing to spend money/effort if it provides the same fidelity as the DCS range. I guess they have thier reasons for continuing both product ranges. Can't wait to compare FC 3 with DCS range...Good luck on getting what you want - happy flying!

I think Slowhand is suggesting you hold down the key combination longer to achieve marking the point on the ground as SPI/ try holding Left Ctrl + Up Arrow down longer - that would/could explain why you had it working previously. Good luck - let us know how you go. Regards

When it become available for download?
KiwiPete replied to 71st_Mastiff's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
Wags made good on his commitment. Cheers. It'll come when it's ready - wouldn't mind having the pre-purchase option available before the Beta is released - the exchange rate is good at the moment!but that won't last I'm sure :\ -
Thrustmaser Warthog or TrackIR?
KiwiPete replied to Quantenpresbyterianer's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have just got my TM Warthog HOTAS...Changes the Game - makes it the Simulator experience others describe. Big cost I know - but worth every cent. Seriously this controller exceeded my expectation - my PC is now setup around my HOTAS - even the keyboard takes a back seat! If you can afford it - good investment. Track-ir is also good. But second in the list for me. Not sure but there might be an open source Head tracking system around that only requires a webcam. Not sure if DCS software would need to support it or if ot's handled by the OS... But I'd not be without my trackir for sure -
How about trying the easy quick mission thingy with unlimited ammo? Practice lots! Use the mav to take out everything...the moving column at Steerpoint 6 has AAA cover - good luck!

When it become available for download?
KiwiPete replied to 71st_Mastiff's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
Oh no!!! It's now the first of July....and no CA! I must admit that I like the sound of deadlines (or in this case "release date" ) rushing past at a great rate of knots! Looking forward to its release soon! But I do feel for Timmy....poor lad.... -
Same question here! thanks for the answers!!! Thanks for asking - was going to ask the same question myself! - All thanks for the response! You've helped me understand that little bit more. Cheers all!

How is Timmy these days? Four days in left in June! He's just gotta hang in there for four more days!!! -
Do it properly... Do it well or don't do it at all  Could this not be an effect applied through graphical settings? like heat blur? The current effect is a little overdone I feel. but it certainly aids in detection so I'm not complaining - make it realistic, just not too realistic!

Kudos to you! thanks for sharing. nicely presented and clear instructions. appreicate the assist! Good hunting!

Development scoping...forum members? You'd hope so! - would be the top of the must have list for me...:joystick: Does anyone have any idea how the scope out the development? This community is a real inspriation and I think a lot of mature, considered concepts could be gained from canvasing the troops (the members of this forum).
