Don't get me wrong ... Blackshark may be great and worth every penny .. but the issues brought up here for the a10 / f15 .. well, if you fly these birds, and they didn't do anything to them .. don't buy blackshark ... if they did work on them .. then in my mind, money well spent.

I'm perfectly willing to pay for BS so long as the major f-15 bugs are worked out.. radar, missiles, nav, etc. Surely they would not charge us money for the same thing we already have ?

Heck, you can do the whole training program in Lomac. Me and a friend regularly practice IPT /UPT stuff .. going on a year now. Formations standards, fingertip, tactical,pitch outs, turning rejoins, BFM, ACM, brevity, overhead pattern, tactical arrival, you name it. Works in any sim .. the 44th does alot of this stuff too. Really fun in a four ship. Really, about the only thing you can't simulate in lomac very good is BVR

Keep in mind that this is very likely BFM practice, I'd bet If it were all out war, the F22 would've had the 18's lunch from much farther away and likely the 18 wouldn't have had a lot of warning.

If it touches LOMAC on realism, I'm not buying it !

Does anyone else notice that sometimes the stick sensitivity changes each time you start the game ?

I would agree that at the outer limits of the missiles effective zone, if modelled exactly correct guys probably could find a way to evade them, however I strongly suspect that if I launch a properly modelled slammer at you and you continue to fly inside the parameters of the missile, more times than not you will be blown up regardless of what you do. (I do not know this for fact) I would think in real life, both parties (good and the darkside of the force) base their tactics on staying out of eachothers weapons parameters ... not pressing into them with the hope and belief that they will be able to dodge the missiles which is what we presently have in the game on both sides.

I say, forget about real world data ... the game would be much better regardless of real or not if when you are in any weapons parameters, you are forced to respect it and get out of those parameters or be blown up .. .this may be unrealistic .. but screw it .. my opinion is .. make missiles dangerous .. silly thought .. but ...

:horseback There's no way slammers are that good in real life .. I have proof that I can't share (classified) that they are just for decoration ! I even have a video of an F15 flying without launching one slammer ! It's just there to make the pilot feel good about himself.

My fearless partner and I are looking for another duo to fly 2 vs 2 guns only dogfights. Anyone ?

Nice post and well said ! The F-15 might be the least lethal bird in the game right now. It's primarily a SU25 sim I believe, but they shouldn't keep picking away at the F-15 to improve the other airplanes. It is the best sim around, still exciting to fly formations online and have it look so real, but as a fighter online .. the 15 is a death trap. To show how bad the radar is, me and a friend conducted an experiment online with slammers. We basically just kept shooting at one another and we could easily spoof everything ... until, we fired the slammers with the radar turned off, then we started getting some hits. Pretty bad when the missile stands a better chance without radar guidance !!!

Maybe we need to have ECM Awareness day on the servers. A day where anyone not engaged, but has their Jammer on gets fired on .. friendly or not ! lol That'd take care of it.

I think it's well worth reading ... some parts more than others ... lot's of people had lot's of info. There was quite a few intellegent posts buried in there by some sharp people ... and there was some trash talk. I don't think we ever came to a conclusion but we all got it off our chests.

Not sure ... I will experiment around some more with it for sure. Tell you what ... didn't mean for this to turn into the rant that it did. As strongly as people feel about it though, It looks like it was a good subject to bring up. If it gets the ED team talking to each other about it, then it'll all be good in the end.
