That's a cool video, I was shock there was no FC3 icon and no F-15C, you'd think with such a cool cockpit they'd be showing it to get people interested!

I'm on 1.2.1.6120 after updating, no more stutter at start of missions or that pause, missions don't take longer to load either and my fps went from 12 to 14, still half of what I was getting before 1.2.1 which is a quarter of what I was getting with a-10c standalone (average 50 or 60 fps). EDIT: I forgot to mention, I tried the preset LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH settings and each was the same thing 14 fps average, turned off MSAA, tried all the settings, lowered and turned up tree and bushes sliders, no change.

ahhh now I won't be surprised to see this addition when I buy it! :doh:

Ok, I really hope ED picked the F/A-18C for their fast jet, just the 3D model has us all excited now imaging if it was the next DCS plane!

when i first installed 1.2.1 I was getting 10fps average maybe 12 if i was lucky, now with 6055 I get 13 fps on medium and lowering the msaa, I also am getting the issues when you start the missions that everybody else are getting, takes i get maybe 1 fps during the first 5 seconds, then it freeze (with sound) for about 10 seconds and then it goes back to normal. It did seem smoother but that may be due to the extra fps.

i didn't get the message to update, should I try to update with the updater or is it too buggy?

how do you get to see those people and the ED thingy?

When you uninstall DCSW it will uninstall all the modules, so after reinstalling the latest world you must reinstall the up to date modules which have the same version 1.2.1

1.2.1 New changes and features not mentioned on release Hey guys, just wondering if any of you noticed anything else, here's what I found. My system specs are on my signature and I'm already running helios with the loz profile with a fresh install of everything including saved games #1.- Scripts/UI/RadioCommandDialogPanel/CommandMenu.lua, this file does not need to be modified anymore when you have 2 screens to move the position of the menu to the main screen, the menuWidth variable is still 280 but changing it will move the menu within your main screen. #2.- Before with 2 screen, the sim (not the UI but the actual sim) would expand to both screens, now it just stays on the main screen so you can see the progress, I'm assuming this is part of the first point #3.- Sun is smaller and the water looks darker. #4. - When you hit ESC to exit the mission or view briefing there's a new dialog which includes a button labeled "Manual", the Manual button shows disabled every time for me on campaign and on quick start, I'm assuming this will open the aircrafts manual? These are the main things I noticed that I hadn't seen on the original release notes. Did you find any other changes?

Hey guys, I got he Dell ST2220T and managed to get it working running helios and loz profile, it was a bit of a pain to set it up since it was a second screen and it wanted to work only if it was set as the main monitor, so far its working great. If anybody gets it and has difficulty setting it as a second screen PM me and i will help :-)

Hey guys, most voices in the DCS World sound very similar and whenever I watch a video with radio chatter of fighter jets the voices have a whole different feel to them. Because of this I decided to make a mod with brand new voices. I have a small recording studio at home and experience doing some small tv commercials for bands and promo videos, I do a lot of voice overs and I have plenty of voice actors, I also have a couple of friends that do dispatching for local fire departments and have great voices over the radio. My goal is to make these voices sort of like the "Fighting Cocks" video voices ( ). Now I have the scripts ready and 4 voice actors that will give me a free session and can do the voices for ATC and Wingmen, BUT since I'm going to modify the audio I figured maybe I can modify the messages a bit as well to help with the immersion. Here are some of the messages from ATC: you guys will recognize the messages from flying in DCSW and you'll be able to picture in your head the full messages coming from ATC, the question is: Out of these messages should any be changed? should the wording be any different or should any words be added? for example, "Taxi to parking area", you get the message after landing, so should it be: "Taxi to parking area, welcome back" or maybe "Please taxi to parking area, watch any surrounding traffic, welcome home" maybe "unable to clear for takeoff" can be "unable to clear for takeoff, hold for further instructions" I'm not a real life pilot, I have no clue what ATC should be telling you, originally I was going to just redo the exact scripts with new voices but if there's anything that can be done to improve this I would love to do it. All I know is that based on movies, videos online and even hearing radio chatter at the fire departments (though it may not matter), I don't think the DCS World ATC has the right feel Any help would be appreciated to bring some new life to the ATC. ahhh I was hoping I'd see a difference, I know the 27" iMac have the space for a second SSD but I don't really want to add it myself but then again with prices coming down little by little maybe I can get a 500GB SSD and share the mac os and the windows partition.

Hi Guys, did any of you guys upgrade your ram lately? did you notice a big change in DCSW? Currently I have 16GB of DDR3 ram and I'm planning to upgrade to 32GB in the next month or so, when I upgraded from the stock 4GB to 16GB my computer was a lot faster right away but that's on the Mac side using final cut, logic, dreamweaver and illustrator, and that was way before I had DCS or any other sims on it. So if any of you did a similar upgrade, could you share your experiences and what was the first improvements you noticed? Either way I gotta get it for work but I'd love to know what difference it made for others. Thanks!

I hope saying something like this is not against forum rules but it's great to see that this thread went from complaints about FC3 to people looking forward to it, I'm checking the forum every time i get a chance, I just want to see the FC3 image on the home page :-D Too bad I maxed out my credit card after getting a touch screen and now i gotta ask the girlfriend to pay for it lol

Hey guys, thank you for the advice! I found a nice deal on a Dell ST2220T, it's 21.5 inches which will be nice and has it tilts so i don't have to get a VESA mount for it, I should be getting it by wednesday or thursday so when it arrives I will post my first impression :-)
