  1. @=RAF=Arman In an earlier post you noted that radio navigation is working in this campaign, but I have flown the first three missions and simply cannot get ARK-UD or R-828 navigation to work. I tested these radios in a simple mission and they worked fine. I am flying in DCS Open Beta and am up to date. How can I be sure that I also have the latest version of The Border Campaign? Can you suggest anything to check that might point to why I can't get this to work? Thanks, Paul
  2. I know there is an issue with the "ALT" keys and US keyboards. If you try to use "ALT + F," for example, only the "F" will show up at first in DCSFP. You have to open the profile in a text editor and add the word "MENU," I believe (it's been a while). Which keys in particular are you having trouble with? Paul
  3. @Dudikoff -- This has been an issue with DCSFP since the outset. You have to manually edit the profile file in a text editor. Here is an example. After attempting to program a Switch Panel control with "Left ALT + H," what you see below would show up in the profile file: PanelType=PZ55SwitchPanel PanelInstanceID=\\?\hid#vid_06a3&pid_0d67#7&26dba42b&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030} PanelSettingsVersion=0X BeginPanel SwitchPanelKey{1KNOB_ENGINE_OFF}\o/OSKeyPress{FiftyMilliSec,LMENU} Instead of "LALT," DCSFP puts "LMENU" in the file. You have to manually add the associated key as follows: PanelType=PZ55SwitchPanel PanelInstanceID=\\?\hid#vid_06a3&pid_0d67#7&26dba42b&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030} PanelSettingsVersion=0X BeginPanel SwitchPanelKey{1KNOB_ENGINE_OFF}\o/OSKeyPress{FiftyMilliSec,LMENU + VK_H} There is actually a note at the top of the profile file about this, but I see that it is not quite correct in that the "CONTROL" term mentioned no longer shows up. At some point along the way, DCSFP must have changed in that regard. I hope this help. Paul
  4. P.S. David OC -- I wanted to try that, but I can't seem to get the Logitech programming software to install and work on this particular PC. I don't know if it's a Windows 10 issue, a Logitech software issue, or both. I have used the Rhino HOTAS on a Windows 7 PC and have no trouble with the Logitech software there. Thanks, Paul
  5. @David OC -- Thank you for the information. I appreciate it very much. @AnarchyZG -- Thanks for suggesting MATRIC. That's one I had not yet come across. It looks very interesting indeed and I will try it out. I did figure out one problem I was having with simply testing AHK. For some reason my Logitech Rhino X-56 HOTAS does not show up in Windows 10 as a set of joysticks per se, i.e. the stick and throttle aren't seen as Joystick 1 and Joystick 2. However, they work fine in DCS. I plugged in an older joystick and it does show up as Joystick 3, i.e. a hot key command such as 3Joy1 (joystick 3, button 1) works as it should in AHK and will send a macro command to DCS. For now I'm using the buttons on that stick for some of the macros I want to use, but it's not a permanent solution. I'll go have a look at MATRIC now. Thanks again, Paul
  6. My search for a way to automate certain repetitive tasks in DCS has led me down a rabbit hole. I also appear to be late to the game as many posts date back years and abruptly end, e.g. with AutoHotKey. Some are no longer usable, e.g. Power-Grid (can't create a necessary account). Some are over my head, e.g. HIDMacros (which is also no longer supported). I have managed to get AutoHotKey (AHK) working thanks to an old post on DCS. An example of what I want to do, and what works, is this: RAlt + / (open radio menu) F5 (select ATC) F1 (select airport) F3 (request start-up) The actual AHK code is below. The issue I have now is that I will run out of unused keyboard keys (for the hot keys themselves) fairly quickly. Ideally, I would launch a macro with a single key (or button), which is the entire point of the exercise. I would like to find a button box cheaper than Stream Deck, but that will do much of the same thing as the latter by using AHK. However, I can't figure out what joystick identifier to use, or the button number for that matter. In AHK, "1Joy1" would indicate Joystick 1/Button 1. This does not work for me, so I'm guessing I need to use a different identifier for the joysticks I use. If I can figure this out, I can then look at other input devices, but for now I'm testing with the joysticks. If anyone has experience with this, I would appreciate any direction you can provide. If there is another approach to accomplish this, I'd love to hear about that as well. 7. @DArt -- Copying the files worked perfectly. Thank you for the help! Paul
  8. @DArt--I have not been able to install LotATC client on my PC. I keep getting the error seen in the attached image. I turned off my firewall and still can't connect. However, I was able to install the program on another PC on my same network, so I don't think it's related to my router. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you, Paul

  10. This post is mainly directed at the folks at Heatblur, but any comments are welcome, of course. I am curious about some aspects of the subject mission. Given the many tasks that must be completed to gain overall mission success, I have been attempting to modify it in such a way that I can recreate the damage done in any given session before starting a new session later on. To that end I have been trying to use the explosion feature within Mission Editor to destroy individual bridge spans. For example, Bridge 3 appears to have five spans that must be destroyed. In the scoring, this is indicated as "A A A A A." I have manually bombed the hell out of that bridge and no matter where I place the explosion trigger zones, and no matter how many, the best I can achieve is "A D D D A." It appears the damage model for the bridge only actually accommodates three spans no matter what, and the very ends of the bridge can't be destroyed. So, two questions: First, what must be destroyed to accomplish "D D D D D" at Bridge 3 (and presumably all of the other bridges)? Second, can regular folks like me get access to seeing individual bridge spans in Mission Editor, or does that require intimate programming knowledge? Thanks, Paul
  11. DCSFP can be used with the Su-25T, but in keyboard emulation mode only. The Su-25T does not have a clickable cockpit, so there won't be any DCS-BIOS commands available. Hope this helps. Paul
  12. Thanks BlackLibrary. I was working with Artur yesterday and he has already fixed the issues. Here is a link to the new build: https://github.com/DCSFlightpanels/DCSFlightpanels/releases/download/3.6.14/DCSFlightpanels_x64_3.6.14.zip Thanks again, Paul
  13. Bug Report from DCSFP DCSFP Version: 3.6.6.5743 DCS Installation : Both DCS Module : Not applicable Saitek Panel : TPM Has it worked before? : Yes DCS-BIOS Status? : Works fine Is this DCS-BIOS related? : No Related cockpit control/device/gauge? : No Even though the TPM panel shows up in DCSFP, the switches don’t register. If you move them up and down, the little white squares don’t appear that show the switch was activated. Keyboard mappings don’t show up in the log panel. I opened an existing profile that has the switches mapped and that did not work either.
  14. Bug Report from DCSFP DCSFP Version: 3.6.6.5743 DCS Installation : Both DCS Module : F-14B Saitek Panel : PZ69 Radio Panel Has it worked before? : Don't Know DCS-BIOS Status? : Works fine Is this DCS-BIOS related? : I don't know Related cockpit control/device/gauge? : Yes AN/ARC-159 UHF on COM 1 With the AN/ARC-159 UHF radio on COM 1, I can change the mode when pressing the ACT/STBY button and rotating the small knob, but only in the up direction, i.e. from Preset to Manual to Guard (0 to 1 to 2 on the display). I can’t go down from 2 to 1 or from 1 to 0. I tried changing the knob sensitivity, but no go. The log files are blank.
  15. That is correct, there is no installation of the software. You simply run the exe file. Paul
  16. When you have an existing export.lua file, all you have to do is copy the line(s) from the new lua file into your existing file and keep the latter. Here is what mine looks like: dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[scripts\DCS-BIOS\BIOS.lua]]) local dcsSr=require('lfs');dofile(dcsSr.writedir()..[[scripts\DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.lua]]) local Tacviewlfs=require('lfs');dofile(Tacviewlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/TacviewGameExport.lua') Hope this helps. Paul
  17. Hi Mad Max, The very first post on this thread provides all of the information you need to get DCSFlightpanels working with DCS-BIOS and there are links to tutorial videos on how to configure the panels. Thanks, Paul
  18. Same thing here, but I love the ability to put the wheel back in the center. Tested with TrackIR and working fine. Paul
  19. @Saylors--I'm not sure if anyone on the DCSFlightpanels forum will be able to help. You might have to take your question to the cockpit builder section, and specifically to the DCS-BIOS area. It could be that using DCSFP and an Arduino system together might be difficult to do. Paul
  20. If you try to create a new DCSFP profile from scratch for a module supported by DCS-BIOS, are you able to access the DCS-BIOS functions to configure a switch or button?
  21. The first thing I would suggest is to see if DCSFlightpanels is working in DCS as a keyboard emulator. This takes DCS-BIOS out of the loop for now. If it works as a simple keyboard emulator, then we need to look at DCS-BIOS. Paul
