1. The new Dam Busters movie should be in production this year, but personally I hope the project gets canned. The original 1950s version was fine.
2. Should never have left this guy in charge for so long He went to the same School as some of our worst bankers. Mr Bean might have done a better job.
3. Ah ha!! Mystery solved. Thanks Sobek. There's a tutorial on the forum if you search 'embed video'
4.
5. That's one way around the problem. I moved house last year so I just got a new Freesat aerial/box/TV at that point in time. Of course if you enjoy the wireless that must be going over to digital only soon. So that will either mean a new car radio or singing to myself on long trips. I tried to paste in the video embed code with the YouTube tags but couldn't make it work. Does that have to be enabled in this forum?
6. Then this little video may help. You learn something new every day :smartass:
7. Harriet Quimby, one of first US female avaitors, was killed flying a Bleriot XI in 1912, although her plane survived the accident:
8. Lost II - Lost In Lapland. :megalol: Good one, Monotwix.
9. The sun is shining, it's getting warmer (sorry southern hemisphere people)....and it's only 219 days until Christmas!! And somebody has already taken a shot at Santa. I know whodunit. All I'll say is that the culprit was a big fan of Black Shark. There is a clue in the video clip. Now, where's my eggnog and suntan lotion?
10. With all the interest in the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano I though I'd just stick the exploding ammo dump effect on the top of Mount Elbrus and hope for the best. Then I decided to do it properly. Here's the result:
11. How would you like to have these pair of beauties on the approach to your favourite runway? Now get your slide rules out. If each blade is 100 metres in length what is the tip velocity at 20 rpm, and at what rpm do the tips achieve Mach 1 :smartass:
12. For courage in the face of volcanic ash ......and for enduring days hanging around in foreign airport terminals. Well done, chaps. You deserve it
13. How many airports have a 300' chimney on final approach. I know Stuttgart has, but they're both in a deep valley. We're about to get one here in Dundee - and it's going to be a 300'+ beauty: DPS.
14. You Lick On guys are just too smart for me. It was indeed an April Fools joke. It caught out quite a few mainstream flightsim folk, although it looks nothing like FSX...and none of them spotted the naked girls by the wall. What's wrong with their eye sight? If you're a Twit you can follow me on http://twitter.com/DundeeFilm be beware my jokes are a bit 'British' if you know what I mean.
15. This looks very weird. A World War II tank and a beach ball near Simferopol. Go to 45 02' 00"N 33 56' 00"E and look towards Simferopol airport. You will need to set Weather>Summer>Start>12:10 I tried to shoot it, but it doesn't seem detect any damage (or I was missing the target) and it just drives in a straight line for miles and miles. See if you can plug it with an A-10.
16. I would like to see ground vehicles like this modelled in Warthog: Personally, I couldn't think of a more worthy target for an AGM-65.
17. SA-2 Guideline surface-to-air missile. How about some legacy - easy to dodge - SAMs for Warthog? Here's one I made earlier: DPS.
18. Thought you bad boys might enjoy that.
19. Here's one for you jet drivers: Santa on reheat  DPS.
20. Here's something you probably haven't seen before: a flying tank. Before the days when armoured vehicles could be loaded into to back of a C-5 or C-130 and flown to a war zone, there were a number of plans made to attach wings to light tanks and fly them behind enemy lines. Never really caught on though. Antonov had a good go at it with their tank delivery system/tank glider. DPS
21. Brit_Radar_Dude, your invention is probably a lot safer to use than the Smell of Victory device.
22. Well done to 504Goon, mvsgas and all those who didn’t fall for the Smell of Victory. It really wouldn’t add much to your gaming experience, although it may clear your house of mice, rats, termites and other infestations. A lot of my friends got caught out, especially as I offered to give away for free the remaining crate of Smell of Victory v1.01. And I got a very stern mail from the moderator of one of the popular flight sim fan sites, followed 15 minutes later by a note acknowledging that he had been had. I shan’t name names. But only 2.5 stars for the video!! Don’t you like blonde babes? Come on give the video some more points, boys. I spent a whole morning making it. Aerosoft did it so much better though. But I may have posted my device first as I had mine on line as soon as it turned 1st April in the western Pacific region. Robert Burns & Lola Profi.
23. Taste of Victory. Not sure how Taste of Victory would work, but an interesting idea anyway. Smell of Victory just works the same way as those plug-in air fresheners you can buy for your home or car. If DCS ever get around to doing two-seaters I might add the aroma of undeodorized/nervous co-pilot/weapons systems operator.
24. Which is why turbine exhaust doesn't smell like the pong from a parafin heater or stove......it's all that biocide and detergent they add to the kerosene. Now I can tweak my Smell of Victory device so it smells like a Ka-50 rather than a boy scout camp.
25. Does anyone know where I can find the exact specification (especially additives) of the fuel that is put in the Klimov engines?
