  1. Now that makes sense. Thanks!
  2. I wonder what might have been the problem implementing it in 1.2 while A-10 for example has this feature?
  3. How come this distance is less than the height of release?
  4. What are you asking it for? The feature has already been implemented. Only the aim is innacurate because of some calculation errors.
  5. У меня и в 1.2 такое было в одной из первых миссий кампании. Больше нигде не проверял.
  6. What does "bomb loft" mean? Does it have something to do with toss bombing? "Aiming angle" is the value for the manual correction knob on the right of the ASP, isn't it?
  7. Is it really possible to have such a low speed of 400 or 500 km/h when dive bombing at 50°... I doubt anyone would know. Guess they wrote it just for lulz. Thanks for the tables, Finger!
  8. Этот кокпит выглядит идеально. Лучше быть уже не может. Я рад что эта просьба не будет удовлетворена. Хочешь другой - ставь моды.
  9. When I start the quick mission "cold start" in 1.5 and look left towards the other migs on the ramp I get FPS drop down to 22 for a couple of seconds and then it keeps at 32-37 (still looking at the migs). Looking elsewhere gives stable 50-60 FPS (the farther from the ground - the better). Seems to have become slightly better than it was in 1.2 My specs are: CPU AMD FX-8350, RAM-8G, Geforce GTX-780
  10. Same here.
  11. Just as I said. CCIP still remains. And while you are happy to have it, many advocates of realism (like me) are not. So I'd like to see someday a CCIP check box in the simplification options for Mig-21. So that I could disable it just like AA heat seeking pipper.
  12. Care to share a video where you shoot an IL-76 with radar lock at distances no closer than 600 m?
  13. I never said anything about using it against maneuvering targets. I'm well aware that radar ranging was never meant for that. I was talking about hitting a big-ass IL-76 flying in a straight line at 600-1100 m while maintaing radar lock. Bullets just go over it regardless of the wingspan setting.
  14. No pics just yet. Just a couple of messages on the russian forum that 2 variants of throttle are in initial stage of development.
  15. Looks like I've been a little too late. Oh well... I'll just dump it here
  16. Зачем там используют двигатель-генератор? Чем не годится просто двигатель?
  17. Nothing is working fine. He meant that the radar lock just kinda started feeding range data to the pipper. That's all. Does it help aiming? No! Just another botched attempt at fixing the ASP. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2507514&postcount=2
  18. Don't know about you, but I've recovered from every stall provided there was enough altitude. It happened very few times to me though. Gonna try looking into it.
  19. What?
  20. MAN+CC is that very "fixed" mode that IRL manual prescribes for bombing in Mig-21. But out of idle curiousity I'm wondering how the pipper shoud behave in AUTO+GYRO+B mode. My wild guess is that it should move just like in AG gunning/rocketing, thus being useless for bombing. But that's just a guess waiting to be confirmed or refuted.
  21. Speaking of bomb charts. I couldn't find them anywhere in the real manual. Neither did I see any info on whether it makes sense to perform bombing in AUTO+GYRO mode :( Only MAN+CC was mentioned (the mode that is supposed to be used according to bombing charts).
  22. Well... DCS just froze 3 times in a row when I clicked quit to save the track. So I ragequit. Tried dropping Fab-250 and 500 in AUTO+GYRO mode with the fixed beam on. The pipper sure behaves like CCIP. Only kicks in at a closer distance and aims several metres short of the target. Aiming gets very inaccurate at steep or vertical angles of dive. Shallow angles of dive (under 35 deg)work the best for me now. My problem is that don't really know how the pipper is supposed to behave in this mode of bombing. So I was hoping that Finger might add some clarity.
  23. The only simplification for the ASP I found in the options is the realistic behavior of the pipper during IR missle lock (i.e. staying still).
  24. Last night tried dropping in AUTO+GYRO mode a couple of times. The bombs fell right where the pipper was at the moment of the release. At first I thought those were just lucky hits, but listening to kobymaru I started suspecting that CCIP didn't go anywhere after all. Gonna test it some more tonight. Why ask? Trying to imply that the real mig-21 bis has some CCIP capability?
