  2. Thank you mate. I'll download and check it soon, off to get a new SSD and some more RAM, it's my Birthday today...yay. Thanks again.
  3. :joystick: Afternoon passed by............!!! Plz, Plz, Plz!!!
  4. Cheers, so no use to me then ;)
  5. Just found this video.... There are 3 monitors, but what is the big orange circle on the right hand one? And is it in the game options? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQTJZTX_IMM
  6. Wicked mate. I'll look forward to it!
  7. Still waiting for this model to be finished....any news yet Heater? I think it just needed the Tail number reversing on one side didn't it?
  8. Well I am happy with my joystick set up now, messed around with the curves etc and the plane now performs less violently and is less likely to drop a wing. Although if I do get a bit ham-fisted it lets me know with enough time to do something about it. Getting less spins and high speed stalls too. All good.
  9. Really? I doubt it was this smooth but I don't discard this veterans story!!
  10. Well ED have annoonced FC3 but can we deal with one release at a time please? I would like to know when DCS P51 will be officially released first? I paid for this title quite some time ago now but still it's not out. Please note, this is not a rant, I would just like to know that my money will finally see some value shortly. Cheers, Tim.
  11. I don't know, maybe that's what I am doing wrong. So I switch off booster pump?
  12. Just WOW. Excellent.
  13. I have mixture mapped to Saitek throttle quadrant, which is seperate to my X52 Pro. I have flaps and prop also on this control. Works really well.
  14. I now own TrackIR 5 and it's mind blowing....!!! Love it.
  15. Scat 7 was issued to Olds about 3 weeks before the end of ww2 and I believe he scored kills in it too. Jim Shuttleworth rung him up and told him that he'd just bought the original plane 50 odd years after it was crated up and shipped back to the USA. He paid about $1130 for it.....lol
  16. I have the full box set of History Channel Dogfights DVDs' and a few of the pilots talk about dropping a bit of flap to make a tighter turn hence them calling it 'combat flaps'.....!!!
  17. Oh, come on.....!!! Please? :(
  18. Everytime I switch to fuselage tank to drain it, the engine quits.... I restart but it quits again. It seems like there is no fuel in there. I might have to check the fuel lines....lol
  19. Cool, thanks. :)
  20. Bump with some pictures for reference....
  21. Remember, if you want to pull harder turns in the stang, you need to drop about 10 degrees of flap or maybe a little more before you make the turn. This should help but the Mustang IRL is a twitchy beast, I beleive it's the laminar flow wing shape that makes this more prevelant. Flaps and watch the speed. ;)
  22. I just mean as an option in the view menu. I cannot afford a TrackIR at moment so therefore in a dogfight it's very easy to loose sight of the enemy, who never seems to loose sight of me.....!!! Just a thought. There must be other people who would like that view too.
  23. Great footage if a little boring. Fact is, a dogfight in WW2 would have probably have been broken off long before this kill took place. Listening to the ACES, they will often say: Break off and run or that the fight lasted seconds and then everyone was gone, the sky is a very big place. Is there any chance that we'll see a full screen view without cockpit, just the K-14? There is one view like that but it has a map on the right hand side of the screen, can we get a full screen with just our sight on? I say this because I don't have trackIR and I found this view easier in IL2 to gain situational awareness as the cockpit view is very restrictive.
