This looks mean: http://www.janes.com/article/52249/paris-air-show-2015-iomax-begins-delivering-archangel-bpas-to-the-uae Wouldn't mind having one for DCS

Apparently there is a known bug with the ASP since 1.2.15 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=139865 Grom missiles consistently hit below the pipper.

Brilliant! Many thanks

Thanks for the tip, Corvus! I was actually wondering if something like this would be possible. Editing the .lua file worked straight away!

[RESOLVED] Soviet Pilot looking for lost MiG after 1.2.15
Capt_Haddock replied to Capt_Haddock's topic in General Problems
Thanks guys! Tried deactivating and re-activating with no luck. Will try repairing next. Also, if it's of any help, the module's icon is now green! Strange stuff... Thanks again! -
Soviet Pilot looking for lost MiG. Rocket-shaped, silver-coloured, a bit old but full of charm. Have you seen it? 1- Auto-updated DCS beta to 1.2.15 and the MiG is not there any more. 2- Tried to re-install the module (1.2.14) but computer complains that I should use "MIG-21BIS_1.2.15" 3- Where can one find this "MIG-21BIS_1.2.15"? It's not on the DCS World downloads page. Many thanks comrades!

Those are pretty cool. Thanks a lot guys! Very helpful stuff. I hope something like this makes it to the manual one day. Cheers!

Any document out there with details on the MiG's weapons? Something like the guides you could find in the FC2, Black Shark or even Su-27 manuals. A quick reference to know what's what, brief history, ranges, etc. Thanks!

This shot shows better what I mean (It's a Lancer, but still). The bottle is clearly visible from the cockpit. Is this the service access you mention? And wouldn't that open space create some unnecessary turbulence? Thanks!
-
Wow! Awesome stories. Thanks a lot guys! So why is the alcohol tank inside an open vent? I mean, the back of the compartment is open to the elements and you can actually see the bottle from the cockpit. What's meant to come out of there? Some bleed from the engine intake to cool down the alcohol tank?
-
You know the vent on the top of the nose. Can't find any info on all my books on the MiG-21... I'm sure you guys must know. What is it for? Why is it completely open at the back? Wouldn't it create some awful turbulence in front of the canopy? What is the bottle inside for? Many sleepless nights... ;) Help appreciated.

Cool stuff! The first one is an Eduard model. I can definitely recommend visiting their website: http://www.eduard.com/ They release a free diginal magazine (as PDF) every month, and there are a few back issues with plenty of ideas for the MiG-21 Like this one: http://www.eduard.com/store/out/media/InfoEduard/archive/2013/info-eduard-2013-09EN.pdf

Good point! Didn't know what the PTB800 was. Thanks for the info :)

Starting from the top of the list, loadouts: 7, 8, 17, 23, 25 and 29. Well spotted about the Phantasmagoria pod!
-
Perhaps this helps? From 4+ book on the Su-25 (1996) Interestingly, some loadouts have more than 2 types, even on the old Su-25 (not just the T or TM)

Su-25A (Steam) on DCS 1.2.8 Open Beta?
Capt_Haddock replied to Capt_Haddock's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Using the command prompt did the trick! DCS_Updater.exe install SU-25A Thanks for the help! -
Is it possible to install the Su-25A on DCS 1.2.8 beta? I bought the Su-25A on Steam a while ago, and understandably the Module Manager does't download it automatically as do the other non-steam modules (Mi-8, Huey, etc.) Thing is that on previous versions it was possible to install it by hand, by downloading the installer and using the Steam CD key, but the latest version available (SU-25A_1.2.7...) doesn't seem to work with the Beta. It's not a big deal and I'm happy to wait for the official release, but I just wonder if I've missed something really obvious. Many thanks!
-
Excelent stuff! To my surprise I've realised that the hardest thing to do in the Huey (at least to me) is not the hover but the approach. That transition from fast to slow flight is a death trap. I'll keep in mind your "collective up at 40 kts" tip. Thank you!

A unique vintage HA-200 "Saeta" crashed yesterday in an airshow in Madrid injuring 8 people. The pilot, a veteran F-18 pilot and instructor, died in hospital a few hours later. He was just 35. Terrible news. It looks like he just couldn't pull up in time. How many times this is happen to me in flight sims... Frightening. http://ccaa.elpais.com/ccaa/2013/05/05/madrid/1367756324_631302.html -
Awesome video! As always. Thanks for sharing :) @Gripen: it's never to late to become a glider pilot! 1- The view from the cockpit is as good or better than on any modern fighter jet. 2- A winch launch is almost like a catapult take off from a carrier ;) 3- They are incredibly rewarding: You can stay up for hours when you know how to use all the energy present in the atmosphere. 4- And last but not least, they are fully acrobatic.
