I've set trackir and am trying to set up the y axis so that i can move "down" and look at the abris display head on as opposed to angle down. Even though my trackir profiles moves quite a ways down - the BS program seems to be stopping the max down movement. Any way to move all the way down - so that i'm looking at the abris headon...or is there a separate addon to display the abris on a second display. Thanks.

tried that didn't help much. i set it to "1024 every frame". btw what does that setting do. The funny thing is most labels are clear - but some are not. And as i wrote before there are youtube videos out there with much clearer labels. For example, i'm playing with the black shark and can hardly read the text on the collective.

I've got a relatively powerful computer w/ nvidia 960. but my cockpit rez is not that good - can't make out some switch labels - but when I watch youtube videos of others i can see labels clearly. so something is not right in my setup. i'm running 1920x1200. in dcs settings, have everything on HIGH. anything else i need to do - nvidia settings.

From the DCS site...telling me BS is not installed. It's installed along with a valid license.

I paused TrackIR, have it enabled in options - still no go. Cannot get the gun to move left/right/up/down.

I'm having the same gunner problem. I press 3 two times to position self behind the sights. Then when I move left and right (w/ mouse), the view moves but not the gun - i.e. on extreme left/right positions i'm no longer looking thru the sights. I've got "trackir" enabled in options and pressed Alt-c for view mode.

Got the reticle thing figured out. Now pressing 3 for door-gunner - nothing happens. Looking back there's no door gunners - that might be part of the problem. Also - only the left machine gun fires. I've got it set on both.

Trying out the tutorial. Firstly it says press M for the sight - i think it's shift-M right? I'm not getting any reticle on it - just glass - any help? After that it says press 3 for door-gunner - pressing 3 doesn't do anything. help - stuck there.

For heli flying - what happens when rudder force-trim is pressed and pressure is released on the pedals....do they stay in place or centers. Generally how is this for heli flying - compared to saitek pro.

Can one program shifted layer key assignments in DCS options i.e. w/o using the Target software.

i've got all the DCS settings on high but the inside panel instruments are still not as clear as it could be. Any other setting I should be looking into. I've got a top Intel CPU w/ Nvidia 960. Display is 1920x1200

I've got the warthog tm and saitek combat rudder i leave them both centered - not touch them. i've got the control position display on (CNTRL-ENTER) everytime i press the force-trim button - the cyclic position moves rearward and the rudder pedals moves to the left. again this is with no control input. this could not be right?

After I watch a replay, the warthog hotas and saitek rudders no longer work. i have to restart DCS and then works.

Thanks guys - those answers were helpful. Continuing with the newbie questions... when flying level and wanting to slow down. if i pull back on the cyclic (i will climb). if i lower the collective (the rpm will increase). so what's the desired method. also when flying - one leaves the throttle at full power always??? being a fixed wing pilot - to me it's more intuitive to reduce throttle - that'll slow me down and also maintain altitude.

Because I'm flying the Huey and it doesn't use almost any buttons... so like to use it for trackir.

1. Any way to remove the pilot image - hides some controls. 2. Is there a button i can press on the collective to start the engine - i can't see it. preferably map to a control button. Prefer not to press the HOME key. 3. how to identify start-position and idle stop on the throttle. i've got it mapped to the thrustmaster hotas slider...but it doesn't seem to take effect until i press PGDN and PGUP a coupla times on the keyboard. 4. Is it possible to create a mission with the engine started up? Help appreciated.

i've got trackir - pause and center mapped to numeric +/- keys. How can I map a thrustmaster hotas button to generate those keys. e.g. boat key.

Newbie help here - starting to fly the Huey and have the warthog throttles. I understand most people assign the thrust levers to the collective and invert it - makes sense. How about the throttle - assign to what?

How do you press toe brakes? How do you connect to PC? No USB connection right.

Looking for some rudder recommendation. Have the warthog. Like to use with A10 and heli sims. Thanks.

I tried to purchase a module from Steam and it said i needed DCS World. I've got the non-steam version of the DCS World - can't I just purchase the module from Steam and use it on my installation.

That worked out very nice. Thanks. The only problem is that I'm using the brake + gas. The main problem is the different resistance. Any help on using clutch + gas or clutch + brake - w/o wiring.

I've got the Logitech G27 driving set and would like to use the rudders as airplane rudders - i.e. 2 of the pedals. How can I do that? Specifically for helicopter anti-torque pedals.
