The Diffuse texture needs the alpha channel. Then assign the same texture to both the Diffuse and Opacity slots.

The DirectX protocols in the graphics engine will use mathematical equations to convert each pixel in the UVW space into the XYZ 3D space.
-
UV or UVW are the coordinate axis on a 2D plane or in this case, the texture. Imagine neatly taking the wrapping paper off a Christmas present and laying it out flat. Basically, Im unwrapping the objects to be flat, so they can be textured. It's generally the slowest part of development.

ED's NS430 box is to long, it'll stick out of the windscreen.

2.7.5.10869 - 2021 August 11 MiG-21bis: Corrected "ПЕРЕЗАРЯДКА" spelling. Added one Croatian, two Cuban, two Indian, and one Polish liveries by Jack. Christen Eagle II: Fixed missing harness textures. Fixed livery folder structure. Adjusted real-time canopy reflections.

The 1A was the pure dogfighter with field mods allowing a centerline bomb. The 1D was a dogfighter with added capabilities for bombing and firing rockets. We are making a 1D. It has an uprated engine, and provisions for bombs, rockets and armor. Although heavier, she still packs a punch. Also note, many of 1As that were assigned to land-based Marine units had their folding wing and tail hook assemblies remove to make them lighter. So, many of the great victories heard about from the VMF-214 and other units are attributed to that field mod. And of course tactics / and JPN pilot experience.

A full remodel of the cockpit is planned, but our efforts are towards the F4U-1 at the moment.
-
Our programmers only need basic shapes of the cockpit, switches, gauges, etc. With those in place, artists can work on the model/textures without interfering with programming. Basically, artist are playing catch up to the programmers. )) The F4U cockpit is actually textured. If users follow our updates, they will see night pictures with lights. As the lead artist, it's my decision not to show them fully until I deem them suitable for content creators. The summer update is to showcase some of the missing details and corrections.

Great!, Can you provide the colored layers and decals incase of future updates (such as Phase 2) thanks!
-
Mind if I include it into the install? We could use another DDR livery.

2.7.3.8494 - 2021 June 30 MiG-21bis: Updated Syria navigation data with Cyprus' runways. Christen Eagle II: Removed duplicated liveries.
-
Good gatch, thx!
-
Perhaps, but at v2.5.6.49314 or prior. Afterwards, liveries wont work. If you can find the original artist, have him/her update them with our latest template:
-
ahhhh yes, these liveries must be pretty old. They still use texture names/code from 1.2
-
interesting....Is this stable or openBeta?

There is absolutely no where to put it, unless users want to see the long box sticking out the window or have an entire sections of a panel removed. This is why, we haven't implemented it.
-
Can you attach the Description.lua files from those two liveries? I suppose those are custom liveries and require an update within those files
-
Actually both teams will need ED's support to usher in the new dynamics of it. Especially to ensure cohesiveness for future projects by anyone. It's not just the bridle, it's also the tensioner on the rear side, whether it's pulling on the hook, a tie down, or some other latch. Another interesting dynamic for Essex carrier ops, is having the user know when to turn to line up on the cat. Normal procedures were placing wood planks on the deck in such a way that the pilot would bump into them with the left or right main gear, knowing, "ok swing the tail now". The tail wheel would also hit a plank, so the aircraft eventually lines up. Here's a nice vid... starts at about 8:40

Please make an option to turn these canopy reflections off
-Rudel- replied to iLOVEwindmills's topic in MiG-21Bis
I've uploaded a file the servers, that controls ED's new reflection shader several weeks ago. If you guys don't see it in the cockpit shapes folder, it may explain why the reflections are strong still. -
Yes, but we don't want the wrong attention.
-
You might need to run a repair, or delete any liveries in the saved game folder. From a stock openBeta install, everything is working...
-
The artist that originally created those two liveries never sent us PSD files for them (c2012-13). You'll have to carefully copy them from the current liveries.

Reflections on the gunsight not quite correct
