  1. Yes, he was by all means able to divert the weapon. The fact that he didn't is a matter of a criminal investigation, and I won't get into that here or now. But as you can see, there are cases where you need to be able to abort the attack.
  2. It's always nice to have a choice. As for diverting, read about Grdelica train attack.
  3. For an aircraft that has seals (and other parts) that are expiered 5+ years, it's normal that things need more than one go to fit properly ;) Someone mentions in the begining that it's the second flight, so that might explain short checks. The HUD might have been inop or obstructed by the cameras, so he had to use gauges for reference.
  4. Try opening it with Media player classic
  5. Yes, only the second one has the startup sequence. You only see the pilot's face, and not the instruments :( but you hear the sounds :)
  6. You're all welcome :) As for the video not showing, I use K-Lite codec pack.
  7. Slovenia is also renting by hour Italian (I think) aircraft and pilots, so even though An-2 is a wonderful airplane, I think it would have some trouble against eurofighters ;)
  8. The pilot is Milenko Pavlović, who died 4. May 1999 above Valjevo. He was the commander of 204th. He littrely pulled out a younger pilot out of the plane who was just about to take off, saying You're not going to go there and die, I am. RIP
  9. Once you've seen these two videos, you will understand why I think they deserve a sepparate topic. 30 minutes of cockpit sound and video, startup to shutdown. Clicks, clocks, hydraulics, fans... unedited, you hear it all. First one is front view, and second one is back view showing the pilot. View of the instruments and radio sounds would make it perfect, but it's amazing anyway. It's also good for ED reference if at some time they decide to model the 29 :) And I should say it right away - don't try this stuff in LO ;) I will try to get more info on the flight, but I can tell you that it is an Yugoslav MiG-29, and the time frame is most likely '97-'98. Without further ado, http://avijacija.net/video/mig29_yugoslav_air_force.avi http://avijacija.net/video/mig29_yugoslav_air_force2.avi :joystick:
  10. Anyone needs a snow melter? :)
  11. Yeah, it explodes inside the wall, so enough of them can bring the wall down, but they won't go throgh.
  12. It's nice to have a selector and just choose which ever is best for the job :)
  13. The development of Lasta 95 is finally finished, and flight tests begun. An export deal for 20 of them is signed with Iraq. More to follow. I'm late for work :D
  14. But I would think they would at least have low vis markings, like on the Mi-17 :dontgetit:
  15. That missile almost hit the plane at ~1:10 :O Look at all the nice flora in the radar assembly room! Radiation detectors :) //******************************* Ericsson Giraffe radar

    F-16 on FSX

Yeah, it's a very fast cessna with a nice exterior. Good for movie makeing and nothing else.

  19. The long awaited Galeb G4 by the makers of Galeb G2 model is nearing completion. The release date isn't set (sounds familiar? :D) but I love this picture of how they test the virtual cockpit for accuracy :) Some other shots can be found here http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2378050910053996385WqGBeD At first, only FS9 version will be available, with FSX version to come some months later. Unlike G2, this model will be payware :( but I think that most will agree that for the quality that they deliver - they deserve the money! :)
  20. I can show you pictures of a MiG-29 with a wing torn off any time you like.
  21. Yes. And even targeting the AWACS isn't as simple as it seams.
  22. Yup. Carrier ready aircraft actually have structure reinforcements that help landing and takeoff. While their not landing or taking of, that is pure dead weight.
  23. One old pic: ... and one really old :D
  24. Slight OT: There was a good article in IEEE Spectrum about a research on why so many US DOD financed projects fall behind schedule and go overbudget, and also gave a good anatomy of a military project. To my knowledge the article is not public domain, but those who have access to IEEE archives should look it up. I'll try and find if some of their sources are public.
